Came here for the first time during our trip. There's not a lot of seating available inside the store. They offer a variety of desserts but only 3 ice cream flavors were available. We got one chocolate and one chocolate almond. Would definitely recommend chocolate almond. The taste is very strong and smooth. The service was great, the lady working there was very nice and friendly. I can see ourselves coming back again when we're in the area next time. read more

I got the chocolate almond in the cup and there's plenty of almond pieces in it which was one of the today's flavors. And I asked for small. But after I got mine I noticed there's a trick in their menu which is the first one is small the second one is medium and then the third one which you would assume it's going to be something even bigger but then it's actually kid size. so basically what they listed on the wall is small medium and then kid but the kid is actually the smallest cup. So the kid size is 3.90 while the small is 4.40 which actually gives you almost double the amount that you get for kid. So I think overall small is really good for its value for the amount you get. But if you're thinking about just getting a small treat then maybe just read the menu a bit carefully unlike what I did lol read more

The store was sparkling clean and bright and the girl behind the counter handled everything quickly and efficiently. Brought my three children at 8:45pm on Friday night on 5/3/24. The two young ladies there had just ushered two ladies out and, seeing us walk to the store, proceeded to turn out the lights and lock up. Afterward, they pretended to look out the glass front of the store from behind the counter as we waved at them (my children being confused as sign posting hours cleared showed the store should still be open. I understand these "employees" are children themselves, but I would strongly recommend any manager or owner of this location to have a discussion with their staff about honesty and work ethic. If you like frozen custard Abbott's is truly the best. Abbott's first started in Rochester/Charlotte area on the end of Lake Avenue when everybody would go to the beach. More so it started long before my parents were born. Later on they had a second location across from the airport where people would order the custard and watch the planes take off. I believe the first location started in 1926, The second although I don't know I would guess in the late 50s. This specific location in Henrietta is new to me, but not the decadent flavor. Abbott's now has gone franchise, but, and I mean this strongly the flavor has not changed a bit. It is every bit as good as it was when I was a little child. They have added lots of new choices over the last 40 years but I almost always go Chocolate Almond Custard or Vanilla Custard or when I go crazy Half-and-Half. read more

After hearing about the delight that is Abbott's custard for a few months from coworkers, I was excited to finally give it a try last week. I lucked out and was there for the deliciously seasonal, pumpkin custard. Light and fluffy and completely creamy, with good pumpkin taste (not just pumpkin spice). This location just opened up next to LA Fitness (maybe a trap for the weak willed after working out) and has a fresh, warm feeling interior with a small seating area. While most Abbots locations shut down for the winter, the new Henrietta store is open year round. Custard isn't the only thing on the menu...they bring their A-game with ice cream sandwiches, flurries, pies, and frozen cakes. Prices are just below or in line with Coldstone, but I feel better about supporting a local company and getting a better taste (see what I did there?) of the wonderful Rochester area. This place has great ice cream even in the winter! Although there are not very many flavors, the frozen custard is really good. They have 3 to 4 different sizes, cones, bowls, shakes, and much more! If you like bananas, try a banana split! There are also tubs of ice cream in a freezer by the door that you can buy to take home. There is not much seating, I doubt more than 10 people could sit down in this Abbott's because it is very small. there is also outdoor seating for hot summer days. If you're from Rochester then you've had Abbots. This one isn't any different, just in a new modern store. I was sad to see the location on west Henrietta road close though since I grew up going to it. I took the girlfriend to Abbots since she's not from Rochester, and she absolutely loved it. I had a peanut butter cup flurry with chocolate custard and she had single vanilla with cookie dough and peanut butter sauce. Since I live out of state now I haven't had abbots in a long time, it was delicious and reminds me of my childhood. It's still the same great frozen custard, just with out the old school classic feel of the original west Henrietta road location. Always worth a visit when I'm in Rochester. read more
