This restaurant enrages me so much that i can't form a coherent paragraph. So here are my bullet points... -The wait staff can be divided into two categories 1. Very nice, attentive and bubbly. 2. Trashy with a side of smells like Marlboro Lights. -Chef and menu are probably the best part of this restaurant. - Ordered Lobster, SMELLED LIKE AMONIA. Probably tasted like it too. -The Management remind me of used car salesmen. I ordered "fresh lobster" as the menu states don't try to convince me to come back. - Bar is VERY LOUD. They should have designed it to be on one side of the restaurant, not smack in the middle. -Ask to sit downstairs if you're still considering eating here. - Over all -pretentious- I'm totally rooting for the local businesses but the owner should have left Milton back when he torched his failing Java Joe's. read more

Three strikes your out. After three attempts I feel compelled to write a review on Yelp. If anyone from Abby Park management reads this review here are some helpful suggestions because I live nearby and I want this place to succeed. 1. Take the duck off of the menu...you don't prepare it well; 2. Boston is 7 miles away if I want fois gris I will go to the handful of restaurants that do it right in Boston; 3. Learn to prepare a few dishes really well...perhaps if the chef wasn't preoccupied preparing some obscenely complicated dish he would have stuck his thumb on my burger and recognised that it was not cooked yet; 4. Learn the fine art of turning tables.....at these prices a reservation for 7:45 should mean 7:45 or at least 8:00....any later I want an explanation or a drink; and finally 5. I was there on a busy night how do you have stale bread on a busy night......it defies physics, maybe it was a harbinger of things to come. read more

Very good food, good atmosphere, and good service. Fairly expensive, but you'll enjoy your meal. The wagyu burger and caesar salad are both excellent. The truffle fries are great, too. Definitely a great choice for a special night out. read more

Very cute, cozy place right off 93. Surprisingly upscale and a nice little alternative to going into Boston. Definitely make reservations and if possible, get one of the booths as the noise level can be quite high. I would definitely go back. read more

So, we are residents of the town and have had several opportunities to eat at Abby Park. It is always consistently good. The chef (Tony) routinely outdoes himself when AP has wine (or even once, Scotch) dinners. He very cleverly pairs the food with the wines to bring out the best in both. Last night (Father's Day) really blew us away. The meal: Husband had the lamb...succulent, juicy, with the perfect level of crisp on the edges. The soft pillowiness of the Artichoke potato cake served as a lovely backdrop, while the tomato black olive salad acted as a bright counterpoint. I had the pork chop, a large lovely hoisin glazed bit of heaven served with the backdrop of a mashed potato made brilliant with a touch of hoison, and the lovely sweetness of maple black beans. The refreshing red slaw was the perfect accompaniment As good as the meal was, and it was VERY VERY good, it was made even better by the people that were involved. Jeffrey, the host/manager/sommelier always makes us feel welcome. Jeffrey goes the extra step and makes us feel special!. His wine recommendation was spot on, and the dessert he suggested to go with (yes WITH) the wine was outstanding. Joe our waiter (headband and ponytail) was charming and attentive. Soooooo.... I my husband surprised me and brought me here on my anniversary. The service was poor and the place seemed to have too much going on(3 different events) for a Sunday at 11:30. I even had trouble going to the bathroom since it was so crowded in the lower floor(one of the events). I had to make my way through hugging strangers and others trying to figure out how to hang their coats. The brunch food was good. I had the Abby Park Platter and although the majority of the dish was good the home fries had a funny oil taste to them. Our server was down right slow and unhappy. The host was so cheery...I just wish our server was too. I am dropping Abby Park to 2 star. read more

My daughter, husband and I went for brunch on Sunday 10/16/16 at 11:00am. We might of missed the early morning rush because it didn't seem busy. Although it did take our waitress sometime to get our orders. I had eggs, bacon, sausage and home fries. My daughter ordered the French toast and my husband blueberry pancakes. I've been here a few times now and my experience has been pretty consistent. Kids eat free from 3-6, which is a nice little bonus. I can't recall which night but they had $1 oysters, very tasty. All in all the food, ambiance and service are good. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it is a little pricey for just being 'good'. read more

The only reason this place gets one star is because our server was very nice. Other than that, about the only thing it's good for is a drink and a bar pizza or app. Dinner was awful. Who charges $27 for a "special" ahi tuna, that was obviously frozen! And ahi tuna with mashed potatoes! Who does that?? Disappointing is an understatement. Guess the South Shore misses again. Just "ok". My husband and I went last night and had high hopes. We have been to the sister restaurant in Plymouth (Alden Park) and we're excited to try Abby Park. Needless to say, been there done that and we won't be going back. We made reservations but we're told our table was "being set up" but there were many open tables. We were sat at a table sandwiched between 2 open tables which were so close to the other tables. It didn't bother us until both tables got sat and we felt like we were dining with the other people. I did order a side salad and that was probably the best thing about our dinner. The champagne vinaigrette was delicious. I had ordered the seafood special for my meal and my husband ordered the filet mignon. All of the seafood on my dish was over cooked and the battered on the cod and shrimp was so crunchy and the meat was dry. The Cajun coleslaw was bland and didn't have any signs of Cajun seasoning. My husband's filet was cooked fine but it was about the only thing on the plate that was. Everything else was bland and seemed like a garnish rather than a side dish. Like I said it was just ok. There was nothing that wowed us and would want us to go back. I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to go unless they enjoy overpriced, bland food read more

Was pleasantly surprised. Still some minor minor kinks (like running out of bread - small stuff) - but it was opening night. Love the option of so many tall bar tables. Pork Cigars and Gazpacho were great. Fish was cooked perfectly - which I find so rare even in great restaurants. Spareribs were falling apart great - but a little under seasoned if i am being honest. Happy with the drinks and wine selection too. And I love the idea of dessert bites for $2.50. An unexpected treat to finish the meal. If I had any suggestions it would be that they add one great Pilsner on tap (something like Victory) and a really good scotch. Highland Park, Oban... something.... ...Much needed in Milton though, and I am very happy to say the food is what will keep me coming back. Already made another reservation for Friday. Keep it up. And please don't ever fall into the wings N skins trap. There are more than enough of those places to go around. read more

I've been here several times in the last few months and its definitely a favorite. They have a fairly comprehensive wine selection at reasonable prices and the maitra'd was very helpful and knowledgable about the wine list. As a matter of fact the whole waitstaff and management team were extremely professional & personable on each of my visits. Thankfully, the food is also top quality. On my last visit I ordered (and would highly recommend) the Lobster Dip appetizer and Seared Sea Scallops. The sample size desserts are a nice touch and just the right complement to the end of a great meal. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

Came for Brunch over the weekend with some friends, very impressed considering i remember when this location used to be a video store when i was little. the inside is great, the decor and atmosphere is warm and inviting. we had a 1:00 PM reservation, seated right away downstairs which i actually liked because it allowed my friends and i to catch up without being int he middle of the normal brunch crowd. Our server was very pleasant, them manger came over and introduced himself right away which i thought was a nice touch. The food was amazing, the short rib and sweet potato hash is amazing, along with the pancakes, they also make a good Bloody Mary, which really comes with just the right amount of Tabasco sauce. As good as it get its in Milton! We hosted a private function there a couple of weeks ago, the staff were incredible! Management were able to cater to our needs (we had a couple of vegan guests attend our function). The food was spectacular and had many compliments from our attendees about the service and the food. The prices were very comparable to other restaurants in the area and the ambiance and setup were fantastic. Definitely recommend it to anyone who's thinking of hosting a private function, or just hop in for good drinks and food. Abby Park's location (right off 93), vibe, and interior have the makings of a sure hit. Being one of the only places in Milton, MA where you can get dinner and an alcoholic beverage helps. However, Abby Park's "reaching for something different" menu and inexperienced wait staff make it feel like it could suffer the fate of The Hollow and every other restaurant that took it's place on the "hamburger hell" highway of Adams Street. We can't all be the Villa. I've had two lunch meals there -- Dom's Cuban and the Crab Panini. I did not enjoy either (even the waiter agreed that the Panini was missing something). Maybe I'm at fault because I saw other patrons ordering pizzas that they seemed to enjoy. The awesome couple next to me said that they LOVED their BLT pizza. I have not experienced, but HEARD, that there is a two drink minimum at the bar. I can only assume that this is to keep the Milton crowd in, and the Quincy crowd out. Don' worry, Abby! Without Big Beers like the 99 -- Quincy ain't coming. Regardless, Abby Park, even with a super cool vibe and amazing interior design, makes me wish that Glen and "Video to Go" were still there. read more

Excellent experience across the board from the moment we entered to the walk out the door. Everything about this place seems to be professionally choreographed, which allows you to enjoy the night. I was hesitant to eat here as I have heard it was okay. I went 2 weeks ago and our meals were fantastic. I had the skinny salmon which was cooked to perfection. My fiance had sirlon which was very good as well. We are planning to go there again this week. The service was also very good and the atomsphere was great. My boyfriend and I went to Abby Park for the first time Saturday. We had the Crab appetizer which was delicious. The Chef sent an order of the Tuna tartar to us, and I don't usually eat something like that, but I have to say it was really good. I would have it again. For my entree I had Filet and my boyfriend had the Cod. The steak was cooked perfect and the vegetables were very good. My boyfriend said it was the best fish he has ever had. We got the French macaroons and Bread Pudding to take home, and those were both a perfect ending to this meal. It was a nice atmosphere, the Chef mingled, the Waitress was very pleasant and knowledgable. An excellent meal and experience. I would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back. read more

What happened to this once hot spot restaurant. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted by our server after being seated by the host. The wine glass has lip stick on it.. Gross. My white wine was room temp. The food has went down hill. I used to love the risotto, had to send it back as it had zero flavor. Wish I had of got a seat at the bar as the bartenders are always welcoming and efficient! Have been going here since it opened. Food is excellent. Wait staff has changed and dropped a bit in courtesy and attention. Yes, it is noisy. Biggest change is now you pay to park in the lot and must use a valet. Signage about parking is unclear and the parking attendant bordered on rude. Reminder - this is East Milton..... May consider going back only when the weather is better and we can park by ourselves and walk to the restaurant for starters. read more

Although I am not one to typically complain I must say that we were very disappointed in our Mothers Day brunch. We returned this year after a very nice brunch last year only to walk away sadly disappointed. The buffet seemed very limited; and furthermore EVERY item was cold. In June I decided to meet three friends for dinner and drinks at Abby Park. I thought it was the perfect choice because it is conveniently located and everyone had enjoyed previous experiences there. We were enjoying several drinks and appetizers while we were waiting for our entrees. When the food arrived I was visually pleased. My meal looked like it was going to be delicious. The first few bites were as expected. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, there was a little unpleasant (to say the very least) surprise hiding in my grilled asparagus salad. As I took my third or fourth bite, I literally bit into a freshly chewed piece of gum mixed in with the over-easy egg that topped the salad. I could taste that it still had bubble gum flavor! Those of you reading this should also know that two of us had ordered the same salad and when they initially arrived, while yummy-looking, the egg on top was over-cooked. The server agreed to take the eggs back and return with newly cooked eggs. My friend and I cut up the rest of the salads while we waited. It did not take very long. When the server returned, the two eggs were on the same plate and cooked appropriately. It was just the luck of the draw that I received the tainted egg. To make matters worse, when the manager came over he was insincerely apologetic. He repeatedly said that his staff is not allowed to chew gum, therefore he knew that none of them could be responsible. Instead he insisted that it was probably in the food when they received it from the company. He assured me that he would call be calling them in the morning to investigate further. His tone bordered on rude and impatient. Unbelievable! To be fair, up until then the service and food had been good.Our server was attentive and polite. Also, while the manager completely invalidated what I was saying and consequently insulted me, he did comp the entire bill and give each one of us $25 gift cards. I hate to say that I will not be returning to eat at Abby Park. This is unfortunate because it's a comfy place to go that is also close to home. If you do go to Abby Park, be warned. Make sure to check your food thoroughly before taking a bite! In addition, it's better to be safe than sorry..... Please make sure that you don't send anything back! read more

I visited Abby Park for my mother's birthday this past Friday and was sadly disappointed by the food. I'll admit, I'm pretty easy to please but I must have ordered all the wrong food on this day. I must say, though, the atmosphere is an A+ in my book. The dark wood and dim lighting make it very warm and give it a nice cozy but sophisticated feeling. I just wish the food gave me the same feeling! First of all, they did not serve any bread. Personally, I'm not a huge bread fan because I try not to eat too many carbs (or save all my carbs for dessert!) but my Dad loves bread and I could tell he was disappointed. I have no idea if it was an oversight of the waitress or if they simply don't serve bread. I ordered a spinach, apple, goat cheese salad for an appetizer and was pretty excited for it but the excitement subsided rather quickly. Half of the spinach was wilted and had that dark green slime on it, which obviously meant it was not fresh or kept properly. I tried picking all the bad pieces out and tried to eat the salad anyway but I kept getting a funky taste in my mouth--not good. For dinner, I ordered the Statler Chicken breast with asparagus. The asparagus was the absolute worst I have ever eaten in my 31 years of life. I love asparagus and was so disappointed. The chicken was ok. It was moist but at this point I was grossed out by the salad and asparagus so I was becoming biased. I needed some bread or something to get the gross taste out of my mouth but again, there was no bread. My mother ordered the Kobe flank steak, which I tried and I thought it was very good--the only good part of the meal! My niece got the BLT pizza which she ate some of but didn't seem too thrilled with and she did not want to take the rest home. From what I've heard, the burgers and sandwiches here are very good. I must say, because of how much I enjoyed the atmosphere, I will probably try this place again for a burger and cocktail and hope the meal is better. read more

I am all for supporting local businesses, thats why we tried this place. But this was one of the WORST meals I've ever had and it still bothers me that we paid so much over $100 for 5 pieces of deep fried duck and pork stuffed with deli sausage, and burnt lamb "lollipops". STAY AWAY! My boyfriend and I went here for Valentines Day, made reservations for 5pm. I pass Abby park on my way to work in the morning, and I always wanted to try it, so this is why my bf decided to bring me here. On the website it clearly says that the fixed menu is available, not the only menu! Fine so there 55$ four course menu, alright we would splurge. First they tried to sit us down in the dungeon of a basement, we made reservations, so why am i sitting next to the bathroom and the kitchen? Not only that, but there was only one other couple down there, there was no music and all you could hear was plates crashing in the kitchen... so we asked to be seated up in the regular dining room, considering there were 20 tables open up stairs. So we got sat in the corner which was fine. After reading the not so delicious menu, we asked if we could have the regular menu, like it said on the website... WRONG you have to pay $55 for crappy meals. Finally I asked if I could just get the meal, the appetizers weren't very appealing, the oranges in my salad not my style so why pay 55 if i wont eat it? The creepy host told us the plates were $30 each. After some convincing by my boyfriend we decided to stay. Maybe the food was good? We've had some amazing meals for 30 so we thought it would be worth it He asked the waitress what seasonal beer they had, so he ordered a sam adams winter lager, She brought him a completely different beer so he sent it back and ended up getting a bottle of beer instead. I ordered a belvedere gimlet. I told her, stirred not shaken, up with an extra squeeze of fresh lime juice. I got my drink with shards of ice floating on the top, I dont like to crunch my martinis, its why i asked for it stirred, so I sent it back. Shaken means the ice breaks down and its watered down with ice chunks. When i got it back there was black floating in it, and there was no extra splash of lime nor was it fresh lime juice it was rosies which is awful if you drink a lot of gimlets. Finally after the drink fiasco we ordered "lamb lollipops" they were overcooked and dry. We got two and I wasn't impressed. My boyfriend liked the sour dough bread i guess.. We got out meals, out of our four sad options of meals, he got the pork loin wrapped in bacon and stuffed with sausage. He like it, I got the duck. Lets just say I've had better duck at a fast food chinese food place than here, and for much less. The bill came and they forgot to take off his other beer he sent back. We saw four parties come in, look at the menu and walk out. Wish we had done the same. Will never go back... gross read more

Went here for Mother's Day Brunch, we had 12 noon reservations. First we were seated in a booth and a waitress did not approach is for close to 15 minutes and when she did come to our table it was to tell us that brunch was being restocked and it would take about another ten minutes. Finally we got coffee and juice and then brunch was ready. The food was dry, lacked seasoning and poorly presented. Brioche French toast was the only decent thing on the menu, even the Orange juice was watery. The desserts were out of a box. If my son wasn't paying I would have made a scene and asked for my money back. The owner of Abbey Park should be ashamed of himself for bilking kids on Mother's Day read more

We were only in for drinks at the bar BUT the service overall was great. Very friendly and attentive bartender who made a great dirty martini. I'd give her 5 stars alone. We decided to get a few appetizers and decided on the cheese plate and hummus. The hummus tasted good but I was really disappointed in the cheese plate. It was blue cheese, something else which was good and swiss! Swiss? Really? For a place like Abby Park I would've at least expected Brie or something. And there were a few Pepperidge Farms crackers. Although the dinner menu looked good, I don't know if I'd risk going there and dropping $20 for an entree. But if you're looking for a nice bar to drop in for a drink, I'd definitely go here. read more

A downtown-esque eatery in A tiny town like Quincy???? who in the heck knew! Well I didnt until the handy dandy folks at Living Social offered a $40 coupon. I saved it for A special occassion, so my boyfriend and I got all dolled up came here last night (9.26.11) for his birthday. The atmosphere was perfect for the occassion, nice and cozy with dimly lit red lights bouncing off the dark wooden beams. Very lovely. We were seated at a table, but I wanted us to sit closer together so I asked if we can be seated at a booth-then changed my mind and decided to stay at the table- then requested to sit at the booth again! The staff was great about my indecisiveness, and seated us where we wanted. I wanted to stay within the $40 range so we opted out of the appetizers and munched on the complimentary bread instead, which was delicious! I dont know what they did to make it taste mildly cheesey, but we went through two baskets of it! For an entree I ordered the Statler Chicken ($20) which was okay-and thats it. The chicken was moist, but overall the entire dish was surprisingly bland, the only saving grace were the crushed olives which added a mildly salted taste to it. My boyfriend ordered the Pork Tenderloin ($18), which was equally moist and had a tiny bit more flavor to it, but not enough to set fireworks off in my mouth. All in all it was edible and tolerable. My experience here was good, the ambiance is kickass, and the food is at least pretty to look at. But for these prices, I highly doubt I would come back without another coupon. read more
