This time around my wife says she smells something burning, somethings not right. She pin points the dryer as the culprit. We notice the drum is white hot. There are water drops coming out of the crevices. Witchcraft? Demon possession? No, blocked exhaust hose Alex from Swiftec Services explained to me over the phone. He says I can be there at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Blocked it was! Our poor LG dryer was a mess. Tons of lint had built up inside this thing. Alex took the thing apart and cleaned it thoroughly. He also replaced the exhaust hose. He got our dryer back in business. Before I called him I thought oh great, time for a new $900 dryer! His price was more than fair. They had three attempts to fix the ice maker and on the third time they repaired it and also refunded money that was spent on the repair as it was starting to come close to the price of a new refrigerator. It was a long process but they remained professional and more than willing to work with me on this difficult repair. They always remained in contact, responded in a timely manner and were up front with the various costs. Alex even went the extra mile and came in on his own at-least once (maybe twice) to make diagnose and make sure the troubled ice maker was working.
