I had a 25 year old Kenmore fridge/freezer that was not cooling and the freezer was making snow on everything inside. ABC came on time and diagnosed the problem immediately, the defrosting unit. The tech had one available and fixed it within an hour and that included him defrosting the freezer with a hair dryer. He told me that I could have saved some money if I wanted to defrost it myself but I needed to get it done quick so I had him do it. Michael was friendly, arrived exactly on time, and assessed the problem in a matter of seconds -- because it was operator error (it's a European model that works differently than American models, and no one explained a number of things to us about operation). He could have left, but he took 15 minutes to demonstrate everything, and explain why we needed to do the things he was showing us. In the end, he didn't need to repair anything but US, but Michael is a good guy with a great attitude, and I have no doubt that a genuine mechanical problem would be met with skill and more of the same genuine concern for his clients.

Alex came out and assessed the problem with my washing machine, ordered a part, and acme back later that day and replaced it. The problem still occurred so he came back with another replacement part, hoping the first one might just be defective- but it wasn't. Same issue. Both he and Dan explained that the problem was the main board and it wasn't worth fixing. Then this happened: Dan refunded me the cost of the part and labor, and only charged me for the visit. He then offered to assist me in getting a new machine. I texted him once at Best Buy and he told me which brands to get and which ones to avoid. He walked me through each machine I found (by model number) with "pros and cons" until I found the one I got. I have never experienced this kind of service and actual care from a repair company. Thank you for renewing my faith in humanity!
