Called 24 hour service said they would have someone call me ....2 hours later called back asking when someone would call and was told soon....click-he hung up! Shortly after call from Cory who was very pleasant told me to turn off water and electric he ask what time he could come out Sunday I told him to name the time...8am.....8:30 no call no Cory. Call to 24 hour line to cancel...ask me why and before I could finish talking he hung up. By far the most honest and competent plumbers in the valley. I have a business that shares drainage with other tenants here in the east valley. Tenants, landlord and myself had a total of 3 plumbers on 4 occasions come out in the past 4 days to address blockage issues. None of them fixed the problem. Beware! This company will try to rip you off if they can get away with it. A few months ago ABC Plumbing and Rooter repaired a leaking water main under my driveway. It cost $3,000 to repair, which seemed reasonable compared to other quotes I had received. The ground stayed wet for a very long time after the repair. After 2 months there was still a wet area near where the water main connects to the house and the ground was sinking. There is also a valve box for the drip system next to the repaired line. At my request they sent someone out to find out what the issue was. They only had to dig down, in wet ground, about 6 inches to find the leak. Just above the water main was a pipe for the sprinkler system. It had a very obvious slice in it from a shovel, no doubt caused by the workmen digging up the water main immediately below it. I was at work when the repairman identified the problem. Though he admitted no fault for the damage, and since I hadn't yet seen for myself, the cause of the leak, I just instructed them to fix it. After all, how much could it cost to replace a 3 foot section of sprinkler line? Total repair time about 30 minutes to 1 hour and about $2 worth of material. I returned home shortly after while they were repairing it and saw for myself the cause of the leak and realized that their original repair was the cause of it. Wanting to be fair about it, I was generously willing to pay something for their time even though it was their fault. I was shocked when they handed me a bill for $398! I again reiterated that this whole problem was their fault and that the amount they wanted to charge was ridiculous. They guy called his office and I even talked to who I supposed was a manager. Expecting they would not charge me anything or at least greatly reduce the bill to something reasonable, they instead told me that I had to pay the full amount. I told them I would not pay that bill. They hadn't given me any estimate prior to doing the work (my mistake) and there was no way I would have agreed to have them do the work at that price. I could easily have done the repair myself for free, but I am busy, and I suspected from the beginning that it was caused by their error. They asked me what I was willing to pay so I told them I would pay them $100, which was still more than it was worth. I would not do business with this company again. read more

We had ABC install our new water heater last summer, and we had signed up for their protection plan. As promised, they came out this past week to drain the tank and do a spot check on any plumbing concerns that we had. Dick, was our technician, and he couldn't have been any more professional. Very pleasant and did a nice job with a couple of recommendations to keep the water heater in the best possible shape for several years. Also, have to compliment Crystal, for her very pleasant and professional demeanor. Do NOT use this company! They will ripe you off and the customer service is terrible. This company came recommended and I couldn't be more disappointed. On Thursday February 21,2019 the water in the bathtub of our main bathroom would not turn off. I reached out to our community Facebook page and this company was recommended. Plus a supervisor lived in the community. The company was responsive to my request, informed me of the $79 service charge just for coming to my home. I agreed to the charge and scheduled the service. The tech showed up just before lunch on Friday February 22nd. The tech walked into the bathroom and immediately knew we needed to replace the cartridge. The faucet was already disassembled. He removed the the cartridge and told me he would get the part. I was NEVER told the price of the part or labor cost. The job itself took less than 10 minutes to complete. Wess told me there was other plumbing work that we should do and suggested I schedule another job with him. He quoted me prices for future jobs. After he was done telling me everything wrong he finally told me I owed him $501 for the work he completed. I couldn't believe my eyes or ears at the cost. I questioned the part being super expensive based on the invoice. Wess advises he is not hourly and while someone could do the work cheaper it wouldn't be done with quality. I reached out to the company to discuss my concerns. Was promised a call back almost daily. It took 2 weeks to get a response by email and I was offered a discount off future work. My complaint was not addressed. Overcharged, deception, no integrity and terrible customer service. Do NOT use this company. read more

I called their office because I had a question about a valve under my sink. I talked to a technician and he explained that it wasn't the valve, but a connection problem. I'm not sure how much they saved me. I was happy that it was simple fix and he took the time to help me. I will definitely call them next time. read more

They came to check out a possible leak under our stairs that are in the middle of our home. The service guy was great! He did a thorough check under our stairs and closet and then also went down the connecting walls to make sure there was not a leak. He showed me how he was checking and how his device worked to help understand where water could be. He didn't find anything and sprayed some anti-microbial. Very pleased with pricing and service! My kitchen faucet was leaking, so I contacted ABC to take a look. Their service charge was higher than average to begin with ($79), but this turned out to be the least of my concerns. The plumber told me just for the repairs it would be around $353 and to replace a Moen faucet would be $700-900. He then said that with the services today, he could sell me the faucet they carry for $600. While he was in the truck, I looked up Moen faucets from multiple companies and could not find a single one for over $300, not to mention they have a lifetime guarantee, which he failed to mention. He was really trying to make a hard sale and continued to request to speak with my husband as if I was incapable of relaying the information or make the decision on my own. I thought I might have hit lucky for once but NO. They came on time, they gave a quote, he started the work, but then I noticed he seemed slow and then he said he was almost out of gas for the blow torch so it was taking a long time, but he kept on for another 10 mins then he called another plumber to see if he was close by to bring him some gas. The guy wasn't so he continued trying to make it work. By this stage I was worried that I was not going to get a decent job if he was unable to seal it with the torch, so I called the office. I guess the guy I spoke to thought I was another stupid woman, so he starts to treat me like " so ma'am when did you call?" I answered this morning and then he said "then you should be glad we turned out today!" Really! I called four plumbers and they all offered today. Then I get, "so he'll come back to the office(Waste another 30 mins of my time) then he'll bring the gas back, finish the job and you'll be all happy"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No I would be happy if I was treated with respect, without so much of my time wasted. But one thing we know is there are plenty of other plumbers out there to do the job and most of them are offering some sort of discount. read more

We called ABC Plumbing and Rooter as we could no longer get hot water in our bathroom shower. A plumber came out and replaced the cartridge that regulates the hot water in the bathroom shower faucet. After a shower, there was water in the bathroom and hallway. Initially we suspected the shower liner might not have been secure which may have caused the water leak. However a second shower in the bathroom (with a longer liner and attendance paid to its placement) produced water not only in the hallway, but also in the living room and in the bedroom closet that was adjacent to the shower stall. We contacted ABC Plumbing and Rooter and informed them that there was a leak. They sent out a restoration team. After several days of drying out and cutting the bottom 2 feet of dry wall out of part of the living room, the hallway and the closet, ABC sent out another plumber who found and repaired the leak. Unfortunately, ABC Plumbing is denying that they are the cause of the leak (then why send out a plumber and have him fix it without charging us) and they are refusing to pay for the restoration of the affected areas. The owner has been uncooperative and difficult to get in contact with and claims that the leak was pre-existing. This is most certainly not the case as we never had a water leak prior to his plumber "fixing" the valve. If we could give negative stars, we would. read more

Such a disappointing experience! The work itself appears fine but everything else, not how I do business. Facts: 1) Called them in panic due to pipe burst. Google search based, fail. 2) Crew came out, less than professional in appearance and attitude. 3) Their quoting process may as well been done by a 6 year old. They were throwing out numbers like it was going out of style. 4) Only reason we agreed is because we were in a panic mode. My mom was supposed to be released from the hospital the following day and we didn't have time / energy to deal. My father was upset about the experience and got irritated with the folks who came out. He gave them a check that turned out later, wasn't signed. Over a month later, we received a threatening letter. I called them as soon as the letter arrived, tried explaining the background to the "marketing director"who didn't care about anything beyond getting a check. So regretting not reaching out to a friend for a recommendation v. blindly going to these guys. I'm all about repeat service but never again. read more

This sounds crazy, but it actually happened! I have my pool backwash system set up to drain into the clean out located in the driveway. I connect a PVC pipe with a screw on fitting from the backwash outlet, remove the clean out cover and backwash the pool. Works great until someone (the wife) pulls into the driveway and runs over the PVC pipe. Just my luck....a 6" section of the PVC pipe ends up down in the clean out, 3' under the driveway. ABC to the rescue! They had the tools and the talent. After about an our of trying to dislodge the PVC section, it was time to dig. The work was fast, clean and less costly than I thought for a job like that. I've used ABC for a number of jobs that are a little to big for my basic skills. BEWARE!!! Whatever you do I would stay as far away from this company as possible. They severely overcharged my wife for 863.45 to repair two toilets (2 wax rings at about $10 a piece - 3 bolts and washers that cost less than $50 and only 2 hours of labor). Evidently ABC Plumbing & Rooter feels that their labor should be $400/hr. WARNING! DO NOT USE ABC PLUMBING!!! We had a pinhole leak in our incoming water line between the house and the city valve. ABC Plumbing (over) charged $3,000 was for 23 feet of easy digging & laying a new water line plus $200 for a city permit & $200 for landscaping sprinkler repairs. When they were done I asked to see the city permit, well they didn't get one (not needed) so we did not pay the $200 they wanted. After they left, I tried my sprinklers and NONE of my sprinklers worked. I called them back & it was discovered that the old sprinkler supply line was removed with the old water line. They informed us that a brass vacuum breaker was needed to connect the sprinklers to the water line. ABC Plumbing wanted $468 for the valve PLUS labor. We negotiated that the $ already paid for sprinkler repair plus a service call charge of $76 would cover the labor. I bought the valve for $80 at Home Depot and informed ABC plumbing. They refused to take off the $468!! They are dishonest! They are over charging! Where are the morals? read more
