When I called to make the appointment, the person I spoke with checked and confirmed that my vehicle was still under the extended warranty I purchased when I bought the car. I arrived for my scheduled appointment and went through almost the entire check-in process before I was told that if the seatbelt issue was covered under warranty, they would repair it, but if it wasn't, I would be charged $250 to diagnose the problem. My issue isn't the diagnostic fee. My issue is that no one mentioned the possibility of a charge when I called to schedule the appointment. Had I been told upfront, I would have been better prepared to possibly having to pay. I wish there had been better transparency and communication upfront.

Eric called the day of to confirm our appointment. When he arrived I asked whether he would be doing the repair from the inside or the outside of the vehicle. I explained that a piece of rebar had recently caught my front bumper as I was backing out from a parking spot. The bumper was barely hanging on so I didn't want him stepping on it. He said, "Oh, do you want me to fix this, too?" I was happy he had body work skills as well as window repair skills. Eric saved me time and hassle of finding a shop to do the bumper repair. I asked him about the used car I saw at the other spot and he was honest saying it was a great deal. We then looked at a few other cars he had and told him I had to bring the boss (wife) back. No pressure, he handed me his card and said thanks for stopping by and he was here if I needed anything. I came back later that day with the wife and we test drove a few models.
