I guess at rock flew at my windshield underneath the wipers and one day after class, I noticed a six inch crack on the windshield! Must have been because the weather when from chilly to really hot, but I left it alone for a little while and the crack grew a little more. Then a few days ago the same thing happened to the weather and the once 6 inch crack had grew to like 2 feet! So, I knew it was time to finally call someone to fix it. I scoured yelp looking the right place to replace my windshield. Out of all the places, AG Auto Glass had one of the most competitive prices and best reviews on yelp. Compared to safelite autoglass, it saved me about $100. So, yesterday I called Glen, the owner, at 9 in the morning and he was at my house by 1 in the afternoon. He's a really nice guy and knows what he's doing. After two hours he was done with my windshield. Last week Glen came over to my location in Encinitas and replaced the gasket on both the front and back windshield of my 1957 Chevy Bel Air. He took his time and did the job that 9 other local glass folks were not willing to do. I waited for a few days to do this review because I wanted to have the car washed to check for leaks. I am happy to say that not a drop of water entered the car even though I asked them to spray around the glass a lot more than normal. If you have a classic car that needs the windshield and or gasket replaced he is the guy to turn to. Don't waste your time with anybody else. read more

My daily driver (accord) was broken into on the front passenger side window. Glass was EVERYWHERE inside the car. I did a little clean up, taped the window up as a temp fix and left the car at my parents house until I had time to get it taken care of. AG quoted me a few bucks cheaper than the other people I called but AG was mobile, recommended on here and looked to be based out of CV where my car was at so I figured Id give Glen my business. He came out on a Saturday morning, gave me a couple warnings about a possible issue we might run into with my specific vehicle during the replacement/repair and then he went to work. It took him no more than an hour to finish everything, that included him vacuuming the inside of my car that still had some glass inside AND he cleaned off all the sticky residue from the tape I used to temp seal the window. My story is that I parked my car in a parking lot on Saturday. When I left it there was nothing wrong with my window. The next day I notice this shatter spot like a rock hit it. Meanwhile there is a rocky open area across from where I parked and many people hanging out over there listening to people sing. So I go online to get some quotes to repair it. I had a crack in my windshield and wanted to fix it right away so I called around and found AG. Glen uses high quality glass not cheap stuff from China so he explained that his material costs might be a little higher. But I only had a $100 deductible with my insurance so I wanted to get the highest quality anyways. Adriana, his wife is in charge of billing. She's great too. She got my insurance carrier on the phone and took care of billing right away, correcting mistakes that my insurance carrier had made. Glen came out to my house the same day I called! He was super nice and very professional. He got right to work and finished in a timely manner. He was so cool that he even helped me fix a dome light in my wife's car when he was out. A real artist! I had Glen replace the windshield in my 63 Nova wagon. It has stainless/chrome trim that has to be embedded into the weatherstrip before install.
