Great food and great people. Will always be a staple of the Ohio valley. Not many complaints ever came out of me when walking out the door.

Negative -2000. Rawon one side overcooked on the other steak tips.Couldn't even chew through it was so tough.. Had to spit out. Wish I'd taken pictures. But it was disgustingly gross. The fried zucchini the jojos and fresh cut fries were light yellow in color not brown and undercooked. The onions and mushrooms were horrible. Onions were 50% burnt 50% raw. The mushroom were blackish looking and tasted awful. It was expensive to not eat but if i'd wanted tough old horse instead of strip tips. I'd have ordered it. They have gone downhill. Last time we were there was about a year ago. I spoke up about how tough the meat was and got $5 off my meal. Nope never again. read more

My last review wasn't great, but my recent experiences are nothing less than Great. As the steaks are beyond Good, they are on the same level if not better then Ruth's Chris Steak house, which are 2x more expensive and not as Good as this small Quant Family Owned Restaurant. Food was pretty good. On my scale I give it a 7.1/10. The service was also good. First off their steak was massive. Same with the chicken salad it may me the biggest salad I have ever seen. I myself had a grilled chicken sandwich . It was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. One thing that might stray you away a little bit is that it is cash only but they have a ATM. read more

Wow another great Yelp find and the locals . While in Steubenville for work, tHis place was recommend. I had the wing dings and the sirloin tips with jojoes. The steak was amazing, great flavor. Oh my goodness the wing dings were great too. The ambiance is nothing spectacular but who cares. The food was delicious. The price is very reasonable and they had a great selection of adult beverages. The staff was very friendly and professional only draw back is it is cash only, they do have a ATM . My husband and I met my sister-in-law and her fiancé out for dinner. It was our first get together and a very long time. We were very disappointed in our steaks. So disappointed we did not eat any of it. Wasn't cooked to our likings. I think it moo a little bit. We still had to pay for our steak even thought we did not eat any of it.? Fantastic, family-owned restaurant nestled in the village of Stratton, along the OH7. The interior is small and dated but cozy. The owner visits tables to check on guests. The staff is outstanding. We ordered the 14 oz. U.S. Strip Steak on our last visit. It's a slab of goodness cooked to perfection, and can be split between two people for a few extra dollars. (They are happy to oblige us when we ask that they leave off the mushrooms/toppings for it.) It is well worth the cost. We've sampled most of their sandwiches over the years. All have been tasty. Likewise, we have no complaints about their chicken offerings. There is one item not listed on the menu - baked potatoes. You can order these. Be prepared for a perfectly cooked and massive spud in foil, with a heavy dollop of butter in it. Artery-clogging and delicious. (You can ask that they put butter and sour cream on the side.) The only negative comment is the jukebox. Once in a blue moon, it's too loud. They do offer takeout, a nice bonus considering the pandemic. Should you choose to dine in, they have taken steps to safeguard your experience. Abdalla's is cash-only. An ATM is available inside. read more

When I was in high school and I'd go from swim practice to work, I'd order a burger with mustard, cheese, and caramelized onions and fries for dinner. My dad and I would go here for his birthday or just because we could. We'd have Rolling Rocks, burgers, fries, and onion rings. Every once in a while, when I'd done something especially noteworthy, I'd go here and get steak tips. I've never found another place like this, and I don't think I ever will. There's so much that's good about this place. Also, I'm certain that Abdalla's is actually in Stratton, a few miles north and on the other side of Route 7. read more

Abdalla's Tavern or "Ab's" as it is lovingly referred to by locals is an unexpected culinary treasure. Located right along the Ohio River, in the shadow of a power plant that used to employ most of the town's residents, Ab's doesn't conjure up the image of a swanky steak house by any means. The chicken salads topped with French fries are always a hit with patrons, but the biggest draw is the 14oz New York Strip Steak. Always cooked to perfection, always delicious. A friend suggested this place and said the food was wonderful. I am going to have to strongly disagree. First off, our server wasn't good at all.... And it was NOT busy. She took forever to come over and get our drink order. When she did bring over my water and my husband's iced tea, we noticed there was no sugar or sweetener on the table, so I got her attention and asked her to bring some. She said fine and never did bring any over.... Ever. Whatever though. I got a burger and my husband got their infamous steak, smothered in onions & mushrooms. Didn't think you could mess any of that up. Seriously. Boy was I wrong! I asked for provolone cheese, mayo, mustard, tomato & pickles.... Each topping was an upcharge. Usually I wouldn't care, but only when the order isn't screwed up. I HATE American cheese, hence ordering provolone..... Yet it came out with American on it. My husband said his steak was the worst steak he has ever had. They just throw it on the grill.... No seasoning.... No love. Just a big, bland chunk of meat. We would have told our server we didn't like it, HAD SHE COME TO CHECK ON US! We needed refills. We didn't like our food. We needed napkins. Overall, we did not enjoy it at all. We sat at our booth waiting for our check for at least 20 minutes before walking up to the bar to see if we could pay. I don't know if that's how you're supposed to do it, but if it is, customers need to be told/asked to pay at the bar. Very disappointed by everything to do with the place. 05/20/2017 Visit: Well Not really a visit but Had my wife pick up a to go order since I was stuck home with an eye injury. Ever since I read a review that a person like their hot sausage sandwich, I always wanted to try one. I gave my wife a sad face and ask her if she would be go get me one while I was stuck home nursing an injured eye. She reluctantly went. I was surprised by the price of the sandwich since it was $3.50, so I ordered it with Saute Onions with a side of fresh cut fries. Nothing Beat fresh cut fries with malted vinegar. When She came home with it. By the looks of it I was a little disappointed. IT was basically a little bigger than a hot dog cut in half and put on a small cello hoagie bun. But then reminded myself it only cost $3.50. Right off the bat I was thinking this wasn't going to be that good. Well I was totally wrong. The sausage had lots of flavor, and I would order it again. However I would order Two of them since I have a big appetite. Most people hear about the steaks here, which are very good. However if you arent hungry to eat one of there big steak meals, I would greatly recommended the hot sausage. read more

This is more of a bar than a steakhouse however, the steak here is excellent! Ordered the strip steak and it was more than amazing. The steak dinner runs close to $25.00 if you choose to eat the whole 14 oz. yourself or they have an option to split it with someone else for an extra $2.00. We added mushrooms to ours and it comes literally covered in mushrooms. The steak was super thick and melt in your mouth tender. The flavor was amazing. They only offer the strip steak but they do it right!! I highly recommend you try it! read more

Quality food considering what's available in the area! I wouldn't really call this place a steakhouse though. I had a chicken sandwich and my co-workers all had the steak sandwich with fries.
