Honestly, I've had some expensive/fancy steaks in my life, but nobody has been as consistenly good as Texas Roadhouse. It's so simple, good steaks, simple seasoning, perfect cook. Every single time. The price is reasonable as well. Staff is always great and even when they mess up, and this place does from time to time, they always make things right. I've been here once or twice, and their steak I great, along with their deep fried pickles, cactus blossom, etc. The only bad experience I had was with one of their burgers, which was repugnantly oniony for some reason. Other than that it's a great place, and a cool looking one too. It has a mostly wood interior, with cool Texas-y things like a Jackalope head mounted on one of the restaurants posts. The service is awesome, and if it's your birthday, prepare to be publicly displayed on a saddle (it's their thing ). My dad had to do it for his birthday, and it's funny. Of course the food here is amazing but everyone knows that. I don't know if anything is better than the rolls and butter here. That will be my next fun fact about me. Firstly our server Madison (Maddie) was FANTASTIC!!! Extremely professional yet personable. Patient with my young grandchildren, spot on with our order experience. Food came out timely and exactly as ordered. Her service throughout the meal was just right. At the beginning of the meal my daughter mentioned to her that we had a birthday, with a knowing smile she said "I'll see if I can pull some strings" Just as we were about to pay the check and give her a well deserved large gratuity, she arrives with a saddle! and ice cream. I called ahead and they put me on the waitlist, sent me a text confirming my reservation and an approximate time our table would be ready. Almost exactly as estimated, we received another text our table was ready. We entered, were greeted first by the aroma of baking bread and our hostess, and then seated quickly. Waited 30mins for my steak and I asked for medium, it came out well-done. Not impress. Service was good though.

We were a party of 3. The third person was 10 minutes coming in after us. The hostess would not seat us until he arrived. Could we not have ordered a margarita and perused the menu for those 10 minutes? We asked our waitress to check with the meat cutter because we always order 12ounce filets. He told her he was too busy to cut them. My butter and sour cream baked potato arrived with burnt bacon and cheddar. Our waitress said she could get me another one but I passed on that. My margarita was served with black salt, looked like coal dust and just as dirty. My husbands margarita was only three quarters full. We declined to speak to the manager as we were hosting a "bon voyage" dinner for our grandson and didn't want to detract from his evening. At least in the kitchen and management. Wrong, incomplete, or just plain wrong orders. Tonight one of our orders was wrong, and one got totally missed. The manager came over to apologize and replace the missing order. But no offer to take the missing meal off the check. This was our 3rd or 4th subpar visit here. We were celebrating a 55th Birthday. We had a party of 10, and we did call ahead to let them know we were coming. After being seated our server, who was obliviously busy proceeded to tell us we sat ourselves. We were greeted at the door and a greeter seated us, so that was not a good start. Throughout the course of the evening there were many miscues. Steak raw, wrong orders, couldn't get a water, etc. I think the worst part was the new payment method. We had separate checks, and we were told they can't be split. It took 15 minutes just to pay our bill. Overall, I feel quality, atmosphere, and service have all gone a bit south in this Texas Roadhouse. So I would like to start this out by saying that our waitress did a phenomenal job and my experience didn't effect her tip. Now on to the review, we were there for lunch and I ordered the ribeye. Due to a stomach condition if meat is too dry I have a hard time digesting so I ordered my steak medium rare. When it came out it was closer to medium well to well done. So I asked for it to be taken back because I didn't feel like dealing with the problems it would cause me right before a 3 hour car ride back home. When the new steak came back out it was raw in the middle. Sent it back again and this time the steak was closer to medium but was good enough that it wouldn't hurt me. For what I am paying, I assume I will get a somewhat good cut of meat. But that never tends to be the case. I do like the rolls and butter. Seriously, they can be addicting. The fried pickles are good but it is pretty hard to mess them up. The fries are never good. I wouldn't even bother. The chicken is just ok. The only things I can usually stomach is the pork chops, country fried chicken and the loaded baked potato. The pork chops are usually cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The country fried chicken is also usually cooked perfectly and the gravy is actually quite delicious. If you're lucky, you might get a good waitress. I think about the only good thing about this place is the peanuts and rolls with the awesome butter. And the staff. Their all wonderful. I also like that they have a n/a beer. Not to many places do. As far as the food it's it that great. Tuesday's are nice for kids. But one thing our waitresses or waiters never mention its-kids night ? I've been there 2 times on a Tuesday and no one mentions it.
