It was just OK although the salsa selection was pretty good. They have a drive-through because they are in an old Burger King so that's kind of convenient.

Abelardo''s is a Neighborhood Gem. Delicious Mexican Food, friendly service, clean establishment with plenty of parking. Delivery is available too. Enjoy! A.W.

First time here and was pleasantly surprised on how clean, organized and efficient this business is. They have a large menu and I chose a taco and a tostada for the first visit. The meat was seasoned perfectly and plenty of on the items and they have a sauce/ salsa area so you can choose what you like. Next time I will be more adventurous.

To the left is chicken fajitas and on the right is combination plate of burrito and taco. Both have beans and rice.

I thought I would check out, Abelardo's Mexican rRestaurant that is more of a fast food joint than a restaurant, located in St Peters. While the restaurant, the decor, and its spacious dining area looked great, I only wished I could say the same for the their food. While the presentation of their food looked appetizing, the food itself was very bland. It had no flavors, no spices, or any sauce to add, "heat," to it. I will say, the service was super fast, but with a few added spices, they could have customers rushing to eat faster.

I drove by and their sign caught my eye. Their location is right off interstate 70 and they have a private parking lot. Apparently this is a small chain located in several Midwestern states. I had eaten dinner at another establishment but I'm a sucker for fresh churros. I ordered via the drive-thru. The only thing I ordered were churros and they were quite good. I hope to return to try some of the regular menu items.

Highly recommend!! Extensive menu with a stacked salsa bar and all the drinks you can find in a California Mexican spot- Horchata, Jamaica, etc. Large portions, fresh food and fast! You order at the front and they bring it out to you. Tons of booth and table options. They also have a drive thru. Prices are more than fair. I had chicken fajitas and chips and guac. My brother had a chicken torta and both were fantastic. Highly recommend the cheesecake chimichanga and raspberry churros. Everything is amazing and the people are super nice! Great spot!!

Super nachos (chicken) with a side of rice and beans

Very good food and good for the price! They stay open very late which is nice since there's not many places around here that do. I've been here numerous times and it's always been great- no complaints! I have had their chicken chimichanga, and some of their burritos but my favorite is the super nachos with chicken- the chicken tastes fresh and very good!

St. Peter's got a special restaurant for everyone. Abelardo's opened a second location in STL sand boy is it a great day!! For anyone whose experienced west coast Mexican food Abelardo's is more than just a a great meal, it's a great experience! Unlike the STL location, Abelardo's has inside seating as well as drive thru and take out. Abelardo's had an extensive menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items that are consistent, reasonably priced and generous portions! I do want give a shout out to the salsa bar, several types of salsa for every pallet who may or may not enjoy spicy! We're from the west coast and tried our go to's menudo, quesabirra tacos and a chorizo breakfast plate. All dishes were made to order and serve hot and perfectly seasoned! Seating area was very clean and tables were serviced quickly. We visited on a Saturday and found plenty of seating. Overall great experience visiting Abelardo's and hope anyone interested in great food, give them a visit!

FINALLY a West Coast taco shop comes to St Louis! I was so happy to stumble on this place. The rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese, the churros and the horchata! All the way I remember them from the Southwest. The salsa bar with its various styles and heats. I've been waiting a long time for this and now we have one. Once you try this place you'll never want Taco Bell (and many local Mexican sit down restaurants) again. Great food at great prices. Dine in and take out (with a drive thru) available. Plus it's on the south frontage road of I-70 so the freeway is not too far.

This former Burger King is nicely remodeled.

Stuck between whether to give this spot three or four stars I wondered if I'd recommend Abelardo's to a friend, Considering there are other full service Mexican places and a Taco Bell nearby, probably not. This fast food Mexican eatery has a large and varied menu. It's authentic fare so don't expect a burger. With two combination entrees and a tea at $30 for lunch, it's a tad above fast food pricing. After placing our counter order, our enchilada and taco meals with rice and beans came up quickly. Chips were delivered at the table. A variety of sauces were available. All good until we dipped into our food. Nothing...sparkled. My companion and I both agreed the food wasn't bad, but it just wasn't enticing either. The steak in the tacos was overcooked, rice and beans were bland. Fiery hot sauce and regular red salsa had about the same heat--not much. A roasted sauce had little taste at all. Greasy chips had no seasoning and left a pool of oil in the bottom of the basket. The former Burger King has been remodeled nicely and is light and comfortable. The drive-thru is an option for to-go orders.

I looked up late night spots in stl one night, and this spot popped up. There are 2 locations, but I went to the location in St. Peter's. There's a drive thru and they're open to 3am, well atleast on Saturdays. I got the little nachos with chicken and a side of queso. I feel like it was overpriced and lacked a lot of flavor for the amount of ingredients that were in them. The service wasn't bad and they made my food quickly, but I'd probably get something cheaper or share with another person. I wasn't able to go inside to get the ambiance of the restaurant, but from my drive thru line it seemed like your typical drive thru spot.

The space itself is so cute, it's very intentional and aesthetic. The pink stripes, ceiling clouds, plant paintings on the wall make it so unique. They have a pretty extensive menu, and I ordered a Garden Muse salad and it was delicious. I'm really simple and when it comes to salads, as long as the ingredients are fresh I'm happy. This hit the nail on the head. I added chicken and that made it super filling. The dressing wasn't sweet (which I prefer) and it's safe to say this is one of my new favorite salads :) I also ordered one of the latte specials which was a birthday cake latte. They were accommodating with my order of half sweet, and it was so good! I can't wait to come back for brunch! I'm already looking forward to it.

We sat at an outside table and asked if the area around the table could be cleaned as there were a lot of bird droppings next to it. Unhealthy as well as gtoss! The manager came out and explained it can only be cleaned off with a power washer and that is done once a week. (Obviously not today!) She (manager) did cover the soiled area with a damp dish towel. When our order came out the food was mixed up on the plates---my eggs, husband's sausage, etc. The plates were removed and brought back out. Unfortunately the food was not as ordered and now too cool to eat as well as not prepared as ordered. We were offered a redo of our food but declined at that point. Sad to say we will not return.

So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!
