I've been looking for a place to get a nice chewy crust pizza like the one at flour house or Buona forchetta in San Diego and Abe's does it. He literally has a wood burning stone oven in the back of his unassuming little spot. The restaurant ambiance definitely could use a spruce but the pizza is great. I really enjoyed the pepperoni and vegetable pizza. We also tried the calzone. Abe and his wife are so nice and I love being able to support a local business that also has good pizza. A single pie ran me $26 but he makes his own dough and makes sure to take care of his customers. While I was waiting they gave me some strawberries to munch on. read more

Delicious wood fired pizza, served from a wonderful couple. Abe's pizza is awesome. We heard he was operating out of the MB coffee shop, and finally found a night to try it. We remembered Abe from the Grape Leaf in MB - such a nice guy & wonderful food! There were several people in front of us, packed into a small space, so we knew it would take a bit. Abe & Marie kept us entertained with their banter, stories, and samples of fresh mozzarella and even a slice of cheese pizza! It was definitely worth the wait. My brother came in from out of state for a visit. He went to Abe's on my recommendation. Although I had not been there myself I was trusting in the description and rave reviews on Yelp so far. He came back with a couple of their supreme pizzas and they were excellent - best I've tasted so far on the Central Coast. The crust was perfectly baked with that unique flavor and texture you can only get from a wood-fired oven. The toppings were very fresh and generous and the sauce was quite a bit better than any local pizza sauce I've tried. My brother was impressed with the people and the cooking process. Abe's has become our go-to pizza place from now on and with more relatives due in a week we will be making another pilgrimage to Abe's very soon. Highly recommended read more

This isn't a spot for celebrating an event, or for trying to impress somebody (unless it's good pizza that will win them over). This is a family owned business and the couple here are big hearted, kind, and genuine people of substance. While they prepared for a catered event, they tended to us in a very invested manner and shared wonderful stories of their origins. The pizza is fantastic (with high quality ingredients such as homemade dough and mozzarella,) but the vibes of the place are off the charts. I took my pizza to go but while I waited it was like I was hanging out with my grandparents while they fed and took care of everyone. By the time I left I knew everyone's names and everyone was so kind. Abe is passionate about his pizza, showing each pie off as it came out of the oven, chatting with customers about the dough making process, etc. It was so fun and genuinely welcoming.
