So I had requested a estimate using Yelp. I received a quick response for a dryer vent cleaning scheduled an appointment with Alex. It was a rainy day so they were running behind schedule they did call my husband to let him know they were running behind 30 min. My dryer was not heating up very well. So I figured this is what we needed. It was a good investment. They noticed our dryer exhaust from the outside wasnt closing because a bird had created a nest there which caused the flap to stay open. Which created moisture in the vent. I thought my dryer was acting up, but the repairman said it was an issue with the duct. We thought we had cleaned out well, Its an older home and the duct runds 1/2 the width of the house. All we had done was pushed both ends of yuck together in the middle! I am not sure the previous owners ever cleaned it! We called Alex over the weekend and he came out on Monday, within 20 minutes the duct was cleared, and my dryer is working better than ever before. I'm so pleased with the service I received today, I don't even know where to begin! It was just yesterday that I called Abetter Vent Cleaning to make what I believed would be just an inquiry "for now." While I knew our chimney needed cleaning/sweeping, I figured it would cost a couple to a few thousand dollars to do, and also, I didn't get the sense from the name that Abetter Vent Cleaning even handled fireplaces and chimneys, so I was not anticipating making an appointment - just fact gathering... But then I spent time on the phone with Alex. After letting me eat up at least 20 minutes worth of his time peppering him with questions, I set an appointment for the next day to have the chimney cleaned. He was so thorough, credible and accommodating...and when I heard the price...there was no need to wait any longer! Fast forward to today at 11am PT sharp! Dustin pulls up, assembles his tools, and proceeds to willingly and most generously educate me on not only the process he'd be using today, but also answering any questions I had on fireplace maintenance, vent cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, etc...He answered every question, explained what he was doing as he was cleaning our chimney, and assured me that visual inspection indicated we were good to go and could continue to operate with only preventive services moving forward.
