After doing some research and consulting ChatGPT to better understand the symptoms, I concluded that the most likely cause was a failed dual-run capacitor. I also watched several YouTube videos showing that replacing the capacitor is generally a relatively simple repair. Although I considered replacing it myself, I decided it would be better to pay a reputable HVAC company to confirm the diagnosis and perform the repair. My wife spoke with a friend who highly recommended Integrity, describing the company as honest and trustworthy. Based on that recommendation and the company's excellent reviews, I scheduled a service call and agreed to pay the $125 diagnostic fee. The technician, Josh, arrived, and I explained that the condenser was operating but the fan was not spinning. I also told him that I suspected the capacitor had failed. Josh retrieved a test capacitor from his truck, disconnected the leads from the existing capacitor, and connected them to his test part. The entire process took about ten minutes. When he restored power, the condenser fan immediately began spinning. At that point, I was genuinely impressed. His quick test appeared to confirm exactly what I had suspected: the capacitor had failed. Since replacement capacitors generally retail for around $20, I assumed the repair would involve installing a new capacitor, with a reasonable markup for the part, labor, expertise, and company overhead. Fortunately for me, he did not have one available. We therefore scheduled a return visit for the following Monday. The test capacitor had already demonstrated that replacing the failed capacitor allowed the fan to operate. Yet the initial proposal was approximately $1,000 for the capacitor replacement, followed by a substantially lower price only after I challenged the estimate. I also looked up replacement fan motors compatible with my condenser and found them listed on Amazon for approximately **$100-$300**. I understand that retail part prices do not include diagnosis, professional installation, warranties, company expenses, or profit. However, that comparison made the proposed additional charge of $1,300-$1,600 for the fan-motor replacement even more difficult for me to understand. Rather than wait until Monday, I went to Home Depot and purchased the correct capacitor for **$21**. After reviewing the replacement procedure again, I installed it myself in approximately ten minutes. Cannot be trusted for your actual repairs- and will then avoid you. Very unprofessional when dealing with customer service. Situation: The company came out to my home on May 11th. The technician was here for some time until he "found the issue", but before he did, he tried to sell us on a new unit, stating it was recommended because our unit was not going to last much longer. Our home is only 13 years old, so we proceeded only to do the suggested repairs: a small leak which he taped up and added some freon, which cost $1,600. Exactly two weeks later our AC stopped working again. It was the same issues of the house not cooling, so I knew it had to be the same issue. They sent Adam out the same day. After analyzing the unit he stated, verbatim, that the previous tech "was not honest with us and performed a repair that basically didn't do anything to fix the issue". He even said it was like "filling up a tire with air that has a bunch of nails in it". Mind you, he also stated the first technician no longer works for them. Adam stated the leak was actually much bigger and not what the first tech had even touched. He said however, that our "only" solution was a new unit that would cost $16-18k. This whole process took about 10 minutes at the most, which made the first visit even more bizarre as the first tech was here for a couple of hours and was in and out of the attic, house, etc. At this point we were honest and let Adam know we were thinking about it and going to get a second opinion. We had a senior HVAC tech (who also specializes in commercial HVAC) come out a few days later. He told us a new unit is NOT necessary and FIXED our issue. He also stated that our unit looks good for another 15 years and was actually in great condition. My husband has been trying to get a refund and after 3 weeks, we are still being given the runaround, are being avoided, and have not been refunded. He requested the refund based on the fact that not only did they misdiagnose the issue the first time- but a second time, as again, we were told it was not repairable. My husband has talked to 4 different people all who say the same thing or offer a new "supervisor" to talk to. Yet we never get a call back and my husband just continues to contact them instead. 6/23 he called, and was then called back by Richard from a blocked number. He was very unprofessional and was telling my husband: "things don't work that way" and that they "have to meet in the middle" and that whatever my husband was stating was "here-say". This company not only falsely analyzed the issue once, but twice, as two different techs were not honest on two separate occasions. That, and I would have been conned out of $16-18k. Not to mention I've had to pay for proper repairs, now costing me more than double regardless. My AC is now working great with no issues after having another party repair it. I have pictures, video, and receipts of everything that was performed by my new tech to ensure that my machine was repairable despite what the company had said. I plan on taking the company to small claims court immediately, as no one has cared to resolve the issue and they refuse to have the owner call us. Had I seen a couple of other people here have had this issue also- I would have never used them! It's a shame we almost fell victim to a sales scheme. read more

the teck took about 8 mins to check ,told me system was over 15 year old &broken estimated new system 14000.00, Said it couldn't be fixed. Requested service for my regular HVAC maintenance and was very happy with the technician Mina. He was very informative and showed me lots of pictures of inside my furnaces. He showed me the readings of the tests for my capacitors and voltage, showed me the condition of the fans and motors and ducting in the attic. He replaced my filter for me. I felt confident in the quality of my system after the visit. He also told me about the care program which I can join for 180 per year which would include two maintenances per year. On a Saturday morning we discovered that our heater wasn't working. After calling three different local companies (none of which were open on a weekend ... I found that odd), I reached out to Integrity. They had someone out to my home within 90 minutes. My service technician was Andrew Diaz. He was absolutely amazing. He quickly diagnosed the problem and determined that there was a clog in the exhaust pipe. He cleaned that out and even checked my other (functioning) heater to make sure it wasn't developing the same problem. We had heat again in short order. He began asking inappropriate personal questions regarding how long I've been taking care of my mother, my mother's sleeping arrangements, and my finances. Due to this intrusive behavior, I asked him to leave.
