The owner initially agreed to return the security deposit in full (minus last month's electricity bill) but has not done so a month after our move-out. After our multiple requests for the deposit, the owner started to verbally harass my partner with misogynistic comments and outright refused to return the deposit. We are preparing to take legal actions. I would not recommend renting unit 51F. The building by itself is decent, e.g., friendly and helpful staff, close proximity to major subway lines. However, there are loud street noises from fire trucks, ambulances, policy vehicles in the morning and sometimes during the night.

The agent had initially contacted us after we submitted an inquiry post on MiMA website. The agent's name was either Tony Kong or Tommy Kang (don't recall and internet searches are confusing my memory) but I have his number which was 646-724-6850. When my friend reached the apartment building, the doorman denied any knowledge of an apartment showing and was super rude & unhelpful even though my friend tried showing him the proof of contact with this agent. My friend honestly felt profiled and humiliated. We tried contacting Tony/Tommy right away but he never picked up our calls or replied after. I would advise people to not trust the building agents/staff especially if they are going out of their way to visit this building. This whole experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I have always ignored any MiMA rental posting whenever I looked for a new apartment.

He acts like he owns the building! He was also very rude to a senior citizen. violated their home by taking pictures without consent. threatened them with eviction! they should have called the police to report him. even though no video was made. the handyman was there to witness everything! He needs to mind his own business, and keep his thoughts and his attitude to himself. It's very disturbing that this man works here and thinks that he can belittle others to try to scare them. This is not a person who should be a superintendent of a high class building!

The maintenance staff is extremely efficient. We have had a couple non emergency issues- clogged drain, air conditioning problem, and someone responded and fixed the problem within hours. The building is maintained extremely well. The 3rd floor club level including the gym, is always clean, (and smells good). The rooftop lounging/sitting areas are always in great shape as well. I can't find one negative thing to say about living in this building and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, safe and extremely well kept place to live.

Today I had to call 911 at 11:07 AM as my entrance into the elevator banks was criminally impeded. A morning staff member M, reported 7 times to police. Call #4 was made in front of him and they are all recorded. Another morning staff reported in March for verbal harassment and disturbing my peace, all recorded. We had a meeting on 9/6/24 regarding criminal actions towards me during which time we presented audio, video and letters/emails from landlord/management. One of the people was alarmed by what they heard, saw and read. We are collecting documentation regarding another criminal issue which goes into next week. I have attached photos of the aftermath of sharp objects, like improvised weapons used to deface my door and they are purveyors of filth throwing trash in front of my door. Who would have thought that people do this? Only here. The landlord is responsible for everything here, any documents received from management are legal and will be presented in court. More to come. L The last photo was shown to me regarding a robbery here. I stated, looks like the guy had soup and was playing cards. No L, he said, he was cooking up crack. What a mess for me to be in. Thank goodness for court, city investigative agencies already been on sand my lawyer.

Period. I was looking right at Hudson Yards and it never failed to take my breath away every time I opened the door to my home. The Cloud Lounge has panoramic views of the entire city. - The units are functional. I had a large walk-in closet and a washer / dryer in-unit. The floor plan was easy to work with. There is a ton of natural light and big windows, but they don't make it awkward to fit furniture in. - Amenities are great. The Cloud Lounge is a great place to entertain and truly has some of the most epic views of the city. Imagine going up the elevator to a beautiful lounge to watch the July 4 or NYE firework shows from a skyscraper.... Incredible. The gym is huge and has a lot of equipment too (including squat racks, free weights, and machines. Not just cardio!). - Great staff. The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Eric runs a tight ship -- building management is great. Sanel, the maintenance supervisor, is also very responsive and effective. - Amazing location. It's a busy area near Herald Square but really an ideal spot for transportation, food, gyms, grocery stores, shopping, and other services. Everything is so convenient. - High-quality construction. The building is well-maintained and is well-constructed. The windows block out all of the city noise, the walls are thick, doors are heavy, etc.. The bones of the building are solid. - Finishings are okay -- maintained, but not the most modern. The cabinets, countertops, and vanities are pretty dated and could use a refresh. Appliances are a lot newer though, so it still feels modern enough overall. If I had to pick something I loved the least, this is what I'd pick, but I was still satisfied. Overall I loved living here and recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a desirable, central area with **the best** views in the city. I ultimately left because I needed more space and there weren't larger units available that met my needs.

This building needs new management…read more That includes new maintenance management as well. It is really sad as this building has so much potential. My main issues are that the building just takes and takes and doesn't give. From the time I moved in, the apt that I had looked at and was told I would move into was different and dirty when I moved in. It was not given to me in move in condition. The floors were raised and not even nailed in properly. The apartment was covered in dirt and only part of the apartment was painted. The marble in the bathroom was stained yellow and disgusting. I tried to refuse move in but this was the only option. I had to argue back in fourth with Vebbi about getting new floors and he did not give me new floors. What he did do and told me is "they switched the flooring they used and my apt is not eligible for new floors so he had to find leftover wood from old apts to Put in my apartment. I don't even know how that's hygienic. It's disgusting to be honest. Now I just signed another lease for more money because it was too much trouble to move and I asked for new floors because there was a water leak and looked like there was like there. He did the same thing, just gave me old damaged wood. There are no window screens which makes it super dirty and bugs get in during spring and summer. There are major issues with the AC and washer and dryer. The pet amenity, one of the reasons I stayed was not hygienic either. I sent my dog there in December when all of these other dogs got sick and spent thousands of dollars that month on vet bills because my dog got giardia fr other dogs peeing in water fountain. They finally fixed the water fountain. I know I am not the only one as I talk to all of the dog parents and have made friends in the building. They all complain about maintenance manager. I want to be clear that Nelson and Chris are wonderful. Everyone complains about the same things, washer dryer, floors, no window screens, dirty building, piles of trash in trash room and amenities not working.

All of the apartments here have the same layout just with different furniture and decorations. I have made many friends in this building! Most of the majority are nice and friendly! The doormen themselves are very professional and know how to do things right! What's great as well is that I've accomplished much in this great apartment complex. For example, I have expanded my vocabulary by talking to people and now able to talk more fluently. Cockroaches, out of service elevators, lack of hot water, broken heaters and a management team that…read moredisregards grievances when they are voiced. Rent is not cheap and the service provided when issues arise are slow and not handled appropriately. This all falls on the management team who pride themselves on tenant relations but they do anything but maintain relations with their paying tenants so long as something needs to be done on their end. Do not recommend unless you want to pay overpriced rent for a true lack of service. We had no heat from January 31st and the issue has yet to be resolved on February 9th - although the management team will tell you they are doing everything they can. Our apartment has been 32 degrees during this cold weather advisory. They will also lie to you to try to save face.
