This place is horrible and liars don't use them. I have wrote a personal email to all the VP of my insurance company about how horrible they are responding to incidents not only was I lied to about how long I would have to wait for a tow (60 minutes) when I called to see where the tow truck was at after 75 minutes the girl Nicole said oh sorry 90 minutes was the ETA I had the text that stated 60 minutes from my insurance company. I can't believe with all the bad reviews I was reading while waiting for them. so I made a yelp just to let you know how much they suck. I wish I could leave no stars. This place is full of nothing but thieves and little girls who can't handle doing their job in a professional manner. I have never in my life been treated the way Able towing handles their business. These people are more than unprofessional and do not deserve anyone's business. They don't even know how to treat a paying customer. Basically my $40,000 car was held hostage because Able towing cannot communicate with their customers. I got into an accident on the highway and was not able to drive my car due to bumper damage scraping the ground. I was so upset I forgot I had roadside assistance so the police called Able to come get my car. Later on in the day I set up for my roadside assistance to go get it from able and take it to the dealer to be fixed. My roadside assistance shows up and Able refuses to give them my car because of course they want moola in their hand. To my knowledge my car was picked up and taken to the dealer. Didn't hear anything for a day so decided to call and was then informed that Able wouldn't give it to my roadside assistance. Able never called and said "hey we still have your $40,000 car in our pathetic junk yard" obviously to rack up as many fees behind your back as possible (that's what thieves do). I try to arrange to come get my car and they proceed to tell me only my husband who owns the car can come get it with cash in hand. Well my husband was on deployment serving our country so that was impossible. I begin to ask questions because I have never been in a car accident or anything like this, I did not know how things work. Some woman as I'm asking questions screams in the phone and calls me an idiot and hangs up on me. Um hello idiot you have my expensive car that obviously I am going to ask questions over to get it out of your piece of crap tow yard. I call back and ask if that is how you treat paying customers and ask to speak to the supervisor. Of course "Charles" was unavailable and would call me. Well hours and hours go by nothing. Long story short I went through hell to get my car back 19 days later and had to pay $1500, and has more damage from improper towing from the accident scene. I will talk poorly about this business for the rest of my life. I suggest the head honcho fire the rude little girls (actually surprisingly 50 year old hags) he has working for him and hire people that have respect and quality customer service. Maybe then you can make honest money and get out of the little trailer you run your business out of. Good luck with that! I am honest and have high respect for businesses that are ethical and have professionals working for them. Excellent service from both the dispatch office and Ken (driver). Called and they were here at a moments notice. Had a slight setback but that wasn't ANY of their fault whatsoever. I only used this place because this is who my insurance decided to call out. I called this place before I knew my insurance covered the towing and I actually hung up on the lady for being so rude and incompetent. I explained to her the situation,gave her my address and exactly now to get there. She stops me and asks "wait what are we doing? Were picking it up at your house?" ....yes lady?! I just told you my car is at my place, the place it needs serviced at is 2 miles away I need if towed there. I didn't know that was that confusing but apparently for dispatcher it was. I had some motorcycle troubles on my way home from work so I originally called Vacaville Tow to tow it to my house. They wanted to charge me $115 for a 2 mile tow. I thought that was ridiculous considering I paid less to tow my car further through them! So I called Able Towing instead and they only charged me $80. The guy who picked me up (I think his name is Thomas but it's hard to tell on the receipt) was really nice and professional even though he got called out to me 10 minutes before he was scheduled to be off. It turns out he was one of their motorcycle towing specialists and he took care of my bike in a way that showed he must have one of his own. I hope I never have to call them again but if I do, they'll be my first call. read more

Well my car battery was fried from no one driving it for six months, so the guy picks is up however the repair shops just closed and we need a car for work. So the driver drove us to walmart and we got a battery and installed it for us on the spot no charge. All in all a great place and good service read more

I wish we would have used Able but we used Vacaville Tow because they were a few minutes faster and it was nearly 5:00 so we needed to get to the repair shop which stayed open late to wait for us but we paid the price for it @ $90 for 3 miles because of "freeway" rates to drive less than a 1/4 mile on the freeway after the truck died in a safe section of the freeway. The auto shop we were towed to Motoring Specialists recommended Able but sadly we had already called Vacaville towing. Don't make the same mistake we did, call Able towing. read more

I had a flat tire one day at work and since I had just bought my new car I thought I would try out that standard roadside service deal that came with it!! :) Just checking out how big of a bang I am getting for my buck. So anyways, I call and I did not get the name of the lady that answered the phone and took all my information but she was super friendly and got all the details correct. Keep in mind I am on a military installation so it took them a little effort to get to me. They arrived within 15 minutes of my call and changed my tire for me. The gentleman who changed the tire was very friendly, capable and helpful. He did not make this single female feel nervous at all. I can honestly say Able's Towing is solely in it for the money after my horrible experience with them tonight. My 11 month old son was locked in the car with the keys in the ignition after my dog accidentally pressed the lock button. I immediately called BMW Roadside Assistance to see if they could remote unlock my door for me. Unfortunately they were unable to, and they begin to reach out local towing companies. BMW called me back to let me know that they had no luck because all the towing companies were either closed or were unable to get onto Travis AFB. I then called Security Forces who assured me that if I gave them the company and driver's name that they would grant them access and escort them to my house. I called Able's Towing to relay this message, and the receptionist informed me that they were only responding to law enforcement for the night. I told the woman that Security Forces aka law enforcement specifically told me to call them so that they could assist, but her driver still refused to take the call. I literally begged and pleaded with the woman since at this time my son was locked in the car for over 45 minutes. Her only response was, "well I don't know why you're on the phone with me then, you should be breaking your window". Right after I got off the phone with her, Security Forces arrived. Since they have a business relationship with Able's Towing, they called them on my behalf. However, this time they got the REAL reasoning behind why they refused to come and help me...they were not going to make that much money off of me, so the driver did not want to waste his time EVEN THOUGH a baby's life was on the line. It had NOTHING to do with them "not having military access to the base" and had NOTHING to do with "only responding to law enforcement", but it had EVERYTHING to do with what would get them biggest bang for their buck. As a first responder in the military, I am completely disgusted with their business ethic or lack of ethics. I would not recommend their services to anyone. I am so thankful for Security Forces, the Fire Department and the Paramedics at Travis AFB who went above and beyond to help me in one of the most frightening times in my life. read more

The truck got there 20 minutes before eta. The guy who came was amazingly nice. I didn't catch his name but he had dirty blonde hair in a bun. When we got to my apartment I told him to just leave in the parking lot and I would drive it into a spot but when he saw that I was struggling with my two kids and groceries, he offered to move it for me. Not only did be move it but he also locked the car AND ran the keys over to me! Great customer service over at able towing. If I need a tow again, I will definitely call them. read more

When shit goes bad, it goes real bad right? House keys lost, car won't start, and its not the battery. Luckily Able towing was there earlier than the estimated eta and the young man was nice and didn't let me being upset at the world mess with his routine. He was by the books and did everything in a timely manner. Garret was very professional, nice and even called me later when the car reached the right destination. The company who had been in charge of my roadside assistance gave him/his dispatch the wrong dealership. He called me to make sure it was ok to take it to another location. We had a disabled car on the side of the road that we couldn't even roll while in neutral because the wheels had seized up. Ken arrived quickly and worked tirelessly to get the car loaded and over to the mechanic. Once there, Ken wouldn't leave until the car had been backed properly into a parking space despite it being a difficult process. The car REALLY didn't want to move and Ken tried several different techniques and finally got it moved to where it needed to be. The provider was extremely courteous and even made sure that my spare was adequate before placing it on the car.
