I cannot thank Fred enough for his help. I was broken down for two hours waiting for AAA who never showed up or called and our vehicle was blocking traffic with oil all over road. Sadly the Lamborghini had a Rod go thru the Oil Pan. I called around and got some crazy towing quotes ranging from $250-$300 per hour with a minimum 2 hour charge. Lucky for me I found Fred and he was able to help out for a flat rate that was lower then other were going to charge me for an hour. When he arrived he saw all the oil and blocked traffic and called Napa Fire and they took the time to clean up the road so nobody would drive thru the oil and have an accident and potentially get injured. Fred got our car out of harms way and back to our storage facility in Sonoma. These guys are a great alternative to AAA for high end cars that AAA will not tow. Also as a FYI if AAA cannot get you towed they will reimburse you up to you policy terms. read more

This place is awesome! Fred is amazing! I'm coming back really late with my elderly mom and my car breaks down. Fred gets out of bed and drives 45 minutes to an hour to come to the rescue and tows me back home. A literal hero. Meanwhile the local guy in the town I was stuck in (I was literally down the road from him) was willing to come get me, charge me to tow my car to his yard, keep it overnight and then tow me in the morning. This means that I would have ended up paying for 2 tow charges and an overnight storage fee. Escalante towing definitely has my business and recommendation. read more

Thieves and liars ready to swindle you. My diesel ran out of diesel and all i needed was a gallon to get me to nearest gas station and this towing service showed up and said it needs to get towed so he can bleed the tank, and that's the only way to make the truck work. Little does he know me and my friend come from automotive backgrounds. After we told him he was full of it(sh*t) he went quiet and drove off in a hurry. If your searching for a company with integrity this is not one of them, scam artists all the way. Stay away if you have no knowledge about automobiles. My husband was in a horrific accident and CHP had his car towed by this company. The tow truck driver refused to take my information at the time of the tow and demanded he keep the registration. It's now over a week later and they have not returned the registration. When I called the owner/manager told me it was not his problem and not a big deal that they lost it. He claimed the driver told him he returned it to me. When I tried to explain that the driver did not and how this wasn't acceptable and is an issue because our information is on the registration they lost, he kept talking over me and then hung up on me. Fred from Escalante Towing must have had customer service training from Jesus, because he was clearly a miracle-worker. I didn't have my keys and the car was put in an awkward position - a potentially stressful situation. Fred calmly laid out a few suggestions and we worked through it easily. Long story short, my car wasn't starting and it wasn't the battery. Once my car was able to be towed, I hopped in the tow cab and we stopped as several auto shops close to where we started. I would have gone to one of my two preferred spots but it was a Saturday and they were both closed. These were all recommended to me by Fred. He also pointed out the places not to go. After some good conversation and a couple stops, we made it to a place that had an opening. The problem ended up being my starter. I had a replacement that day and it's all because of Fred's great customer service. read more

Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. The fact that Napa PD still uses them disgusts me. My car got towed by Napa PD, decided it wasn't worth getting back so I went down there and signed it over to them. I couldn't find the pink slip and they said not to worry about they will handle it with the DMV. I went to the DMV web site and filled out the release of liability and moved on. About 4 months later I get a letter from a collections agency saying I owe them $3,000 for storage fees!!! First thought was OK some big mistake but should be easily fixed, boy was I wrong. They denied that I ever signed the car over to them. Said they sent me several letters trying to get me to pay. Never received a single letter. I had to pay a lawyer to write them a letter to get them to drop the collections. In short these guys are complete crooks!! read more

Worst experience ever the told me it would be 260 to take the car out and all of a sudden when i get there they want to charge me an extra 100 dollars. They try to fuck you over. And who ever says they had a great experience are probably the workers trying to give it a good name. read more

A few years ago, I was a horribly poor single mom who couldn't fill up her gas tank. I was on my way to borrow money for gas as I was running low when I actually ran out of gas at an intersection. These guys happen to pass by when I was dead in the road with people honking at me and with me in tears. They towed me to the nearest gas station out of the kindness of the hearts, they were life savers! Last night, when my car bit the dust I knew I wanted to give them my business when I needed to have the hunk of junk towed to a shop. Once again, they were awesome. This was the worst experience I have ever had working with a towing company. I was in a car accident about two weeks ago (not my fault) napa CHP had my car towed from the accident to the Escalante tow yard on soscal in napa. When I went to the yard to clear it out and get everything out of my car my $170 coach shoes had been stolen out of my trunk. When I had asked the man who ran the place where my shoes where he was oblivious as to where my shoes had gone. As I continued to clear my car out (while one of the employees was watching every move I Made like a hawk) the employee kept coming up with excuses about where my shoes had gone blaming the CHP, telling me they where never in there. Mind you he knew exactly how many beers were in my trunk, but insists that no one has been in my car...ha. So on top of having to deal with insurance companies and not having a car, I had to deal with this. I called napa CHP department and let them know about this situation. He called the towing company and got back to me shortly after. The officer told me that the towing company said there are a pair of shoes in the backseat of my car. A couple days later I went back to the towing company and looked in the backseat of my car, where I had already completely cleaned out every single thing that could possibly be in the car and there where my shoes, they had magically walked there way back into the car. And to top it off...double whammy they made it from the trunk to the back seat imagine that! Just thought everyone should know that Escalante towing is full of thief's so if you ever need a tow this is not the place to go. read more
