We originally called for help removing an unusually placed back panel underneath our kitchen sink so we could access the plumbing. Once it was removed, I planned to install our new kitchen faucet myself, but quickly realized the space was so tight that I couldn't get the old fixture off. I called again the next day, and Vlad came out that morning and installed the new faucet for us. Then, later that same evening, I accidentally broke the cartridge while trying to install a new shower handle. We suddenly couldn't turn the water back on to the entire house. Even though Vlad had already worked a full day, he came by after his last job to help us figure out a way to at least get our water back on. What impressed me most was that he didn't just look for a quick temporary fix. He took his time, worked through the problem, and ultimately ended up fixing the shower handle and getting everything working properly. Vlad is knowledgeable, resourceful, patient, and genuinely cares about finding the right solution rather than just putting a bandage on a problem. After moving into a new home and tackling a seemingly endless list of projects, finding someone this dependable has been incredibly valuable. We'll absolutely be calling Vlad again for future projects and would highly recommend him.

I mentioned I thought 4-5 outlets needed repair, and was quoted $400. When the electrician came, the outlets were functional, my tenant just didn't know they were tied to light switches. He spent 25 minutes on-site and only did light wiring on two outlets, but still charged $350 because "that's what was quoted." No materials used, just labor. He did give a $50 discount, but $350 for 25 minutes is the most I've ever paid for basic electrical work. When I pushed back, he said "Google placement is expensive." If you use this company, insist on a basic service call first. Don't agree to pricing until someone actually sees the problem.

Phillip took the time to actually diagnose the problem. Within minutes of looking around, he spotted a painted-over access cover near the area where I'd had rodent issues. Sure enough, there was a hidden (and improperly installed) connection with loose wires - no junction box at all! He carefully uncovered it, repaired the connections the right way, and restored power using my original floodlight. He was professional, knowledgeable, and fair. He solved a problem others ignored and charged a very reasonable $165. I am very pleased with the job that ABR Electric just completed. They ran a new 120Volt line from the house to the backyard for a fountain, and later came back (after landscape was installed) to install low-voltage lighting for each tree, crepe myrtle, etc. It turned out amazing. I had gotten one other quote -- and ABR beat the other company in all regards. ABR proposed a shorter path for the 120V line (trenching in the yard drives the cost up), they answered every question, they proposed a very cool smart switch to replace the existing outdoor switch. Overall, ABR's quote was both more creative and gave me a more user-friendly result -- and also came in at a lower cost than the other company. I worked with four different people at ABR, from the walkthrough/quote to the scheduling to the actual 2-phases of installation in the yard. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. And even when I accidentally overpaid at the end of the job, James caught it before I did and he contacted me to let me know my reimbursement was on the way. I would not hesitate to call ABR for any electrical work in the future - I am so glad I found them to get the lights and fountain set up in my new backyard. read more

If anyone is looking for any electric work to be done on their homes, highly, highly recommend ABR Electric. Owner is a former Army Officer and several of his electricians are veterans as well. All of them were very professional and thorough and efficient. We have had them over here at our house for the last two days having various issues taken care of. We had another company over to do an estimate (saw on tv and heard on the radio-big company). They tried scare tactics first to get us to commit regarding our fuse box and then, of course, said they offered "financing" for that and the rest of of the work; and, were pretty aggressive about getting the deal done quickly. Very slick presentation. We held off and, thankfully, got another estimate. Could not be happier with the cost (half the cost of the other company) for what we had asked for and the additional things we asked to be done as they were doing the work. They walked us through every step, kept us informed, worked diligently and finished on time. I would not recommend this company to anyone. While installing my fans in my new house. They installed the glass fixture on one of the fans and when we turned on the fan it dropped from a 15 ft celling and shattered thus scratching the wood floors. Then they mounted my new 65 in. Samsung TV and after a couple attempts to get it leveled, they tried to plug it in and broke the coaxial plug off and damaged the hdmi plug. They promised me a new TV and now that their insurance will not pay for this, they are trying to get it repaired. I have been waiting for over a month to get results from this company, They will not return my calls and I am the one that had to deal with their insurance company. I do not want a fixed TV when I paid $2.500.00 plus $500.00 for my TV. I am very unsatisfied and I am checking with a lawyer to see what my options are. Also, they were very messy. I had to clean up after them-sweep, wipe of fingerprints, carry off trash etc. which left me with an unfavorable opinion of this company. read more

James Adams with ABR Electric is AWESOME! I heard a zapping sound behind the old closed off electrical panel in my 10-year-old son's closet. When my husband and I removed the cover, we saw an orange glow that looked like embers coming from a group of wires going down between the walls. Needless to say, we became very worried, turned off all power and started calling around for help. James Adams, who had helped my friends up the street just a couple of weeks before, was at our house in less than an hour. He was very nice and thoroughly investigated the issue which ended up being a grounding issue in the junction box (essentially). He said it would have taken time but, at some point would likely have gotten hot enough to ignite. Scary! We are so thankful that he was there to help. I felt good knowing that our kids were safe and the problem was fixed. We will definitely be calling James at ABR Electric for all future electrical needs. read more

Wow! Absolutely excellent service from start to finish. Had James out to assess and give an estimate on upgrading my electrical panel. He arrived promptly, and after talking, told me I only needed to upgrade my main breaker and wiring. He could have easily sold me a much more expensive new panel, but instead was honest and forthright. On the day we scheduled the work to be done, the electric company was delayed in turning off the power. James returned to his office, but quickly returned an hour later when I texted that the power was finally off. He finished the work quickly, and everything looks great. Lastly, he made sure I was comfortable with everything and had all questions answered before leaving. Fast, friendly, honest service. What a great way to run a business. read more

Absolutely the best electric service in North Texas. Call their office...your interaction will be incredible! We had a minor item we needed looked at. Not only did ABR come right away (...and they were early)--the technician was super professional (uniform, polite, etc.), efficient and the whole thing was done in less than 10 minutes. To boot, they were LESS EXPENSIVE than all the other major firms I'd called. Frequently (more often than not) I've felt ripped off by service providers--but that is 100% not the case with ABR. I'm usually skeptical of reviews...and service providers...but man, these guys were just awesome. Check them out - 5 star experience all the way! read more

We needed help with a doorbell that kept going out on us and called ABR because they were local and had received good reviews. We also asked to have an electrical outlet installed while they were here. I was given an estimate over the phone which sounded reasonable so I scheduled the work, which was completed today. At every point, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The electrician who came out (the owner, I think) was extremely nice, did an excellent job, and left things cleaner than when he'd arrived. Everything about our experience with ABR was exceptional from James, Nathan, and the work crew to do some work in our house and to wire a new building. When the work crew arrived, they even found that an existing unused circuit in our house could be dedicated to the new building, making some of the estimated work unnecessary and saving us a few hundred dollars. We had ABR Electric come out and quote for a Tesla charger. Unfortunately, our electric panel was at the edge of what it would support and if we ever needed to expand we would need a second panel. So, instead of just doing the Tesla charger, we decided to have a second panel installed as well. ABR did a really great job. The electricians and ABR office staff were friendly and helpful and did outstanding work. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone. ABR recently came out and added a 50amp generator inlet to my panel and a dedicated circuit to my patio. They did a great job! Adding wire into the panel required them to cut the sheetrock to run wires through the wall outside and into the panel. He was very careful and cut the sheetrock where he could easily put it back and made it easy for me to repair. ABR was quick to get me the quotes and all info I needed to make a decision to use them. We gave ABR a call and spoke with Wendii who gave us their recommendation and pricing quickly. I did further research on the PSP Vortexx VR-120 unit and decided to have them install it. Mr Sparky came out, replaced the one beeping, no charge. Now they say I have to pay to replace the defective ones because the warranty ran out one month ago! I argued that they put in defective ones, why didn't they replace them all at once instead of letting my warranty expire? No, they only replace them when the battery goes out. These type of smoke detectors don't have a 9-volt that can be replaced. Supervisor John Whitfield, Customer Value Manager at Mister Sparky got snappy with me so I called the police. His worker walked out and drove away without replacing anything. So, this company doesn't care about pleasing customers, just ripping them off. Be careful of wolves in sheep's clothing.
