This hides the costs and results in a higher overall cost. They verbally quote individual prices for services but never provide an itemized bill. My service required pulling the toilet and replacing the base plate; resetting a new toilet which I purchased and delivered. The total duration of the work was almost five hours at a bill rate of about $400/hour. I received verbal quotes from other plumbers after I had committed to Dokes of hourly rates of $225/hour. What I learned was to obtain cost quotes in advance before being locked in to a job. If I can get a plumber that quotes hourly rates versus by the job, I will go with them in the future.
