Aaron arrived a few minutes early before our appointment, after calling first. He immediately diagnosed the problems with our leaking toilet. He had tools & parts accessible in his truck. He checked water pressure, our water heater, removed the toilet. raised it a little to be level with or above the linoleum, replaced the seal, and was finished in less than an hour. A few hours later, Patrick came, and he fixed the problem right away, as well as tightened up some other leaky faucets. The work was excellent, and very, very reasonable. Testa plumbing overcharges and then insults their customers when they call to dispute the work. I was quoted for service for $910 that included approximately 2 hours of work. The technician arrived and took about 45 minutes to do the work, took a half hour lunch break, and spent another 20-25 minutes to assess another issue I had. I then get a bill for 2.5 hours of work and an extra $110 charge. Afterward, when I call to dispute the extra charge (despite agreeing to pay the full $910 despite the work not taking 2 hours), I get called a liar by Kyle the owner. Awful way to treat people that have been repeat customers. Never doing work with Mike Testa plumbing again. read more

We had a leak that was hard to find. It didn't register on Flume or the water meter. Kyle and Joel took time to sort out where it was most likely located. They found it in the upper wall of the hallway. It was a tiny pin[point leak on an elbow of the cold water line.They provided a ready fix. They were efficient. I had a leaky bathroom sink faucet, and a Mike Testa plumber came out and fixed it. It was simply the cartridges, but they weren't easy to find since the faucet is an off-brand and is 10 years old. A few months later the hot water side was leaking again, so they returned to confirm that it was a faulty cartridge again. They ordered replacement cartridges and came back a few weeks later to install the new ones. They made sure the parts were at no charge and they did not charge me anything for the labor. I've used them for a long time and they've always been very reliable. read more

We just had Mike Testa plumbing fix a persistent leak in our Eichler home. Kyle was prompt, extremely knowledgeable, identified the source of the leak and recommended a couple of clear options for the repair along with a written estimate/proposal. Randy followed up to install the main water line bypass as per the proposal, and completed the work in one day. He's an experienced plumber and the completed job with 3/4" insulated copper pipe going over the roof was first rate. They did an outstanding job of running about 50 feet of water and gas line. They had another team of Kurt and Nicky who filled in the trench. We initially called Testa to install a new kitchen faucet. The one we had purchased did not fit so the plumber sold us a faucet from his truck. Between Nov. and June, we had to call them back 4 additional times because the faucet was leaking. At least twice, our kitchen floor was flooded. Each time, something new was replaced even though each time the initial symptom was that the faucet was leaking. There were three different plumbers who came out. The last one was the youngest and he determined there was something wrong with the faucet. That was the only no charge call, after $1,800+ in billing. When the faucet started leaking again in August we decided to cut our losses and go to another plumbe PS., It did not do any good to call management. What a wonderful experience. I can not say enough of how wonderful of a experience I had with this company. From Donna (I hope I got that right) who answered the phone and in just a few minutes, we both realized, we traveled in the same circles being that we are both 'OLD ORIGINAL' marin gals, to the young man sent to service my leak, who was so young , I thought I was in for another let down but to my wonderful chagrin, he was personable, knowldegable and efficient. I want to acknowledge that I have had extensive major repairs done. From the lateral being replaced after the last flood, and sub pump and new service main grey line to main street service and a few other things plumping related, this young gentleman was the first to bring to my attention the fact that our water pressure is high, we have no pressure regulator and no main shut off at the house. Now mind you, we have had major repairs, permitted and inspected, by major known and reputable companys in marin and YET, not one of them and noo one has brought this to our attention until now. I called Mike Testa plumbing initially because of the Diamond Certification. The project was to replace 2 old enamel kitchen sinks with 2 stainless steel sinks. They sent out a project manager, Don, who helped me make sure I had all the parts I needed for the job. Not being a remodeling type of person, I needed some handholding and he walked me through the process and reviewed the parts with me before we started the job. When the time came for the job, it was trickier than it originally seemed because after 6 weeks of phone calls, I was not able to find a tile company willing to come out and cut the sink holes bigger. They all were busy remodeling whole kitchens and bathrooms and did not want this small job. So I used a handyman who did the best he could but really I needed a tile company to prepare the cut out properly for the sink installation. In the end, Don and the plumber understood my predicament, got creative, and were able to get my sinks installed. I haven't gotten the final bill and yes I know it's not going to be cheap, but I feel like I got a quality job. I'm very happy with the installation and the whole process of working with Mike Testa plumbing, from the office staff to the planning and technicians. In the future they will be my first phone call for any plumbing needs I have. read more

This is the BEST plumber I have ever found and used. I have used them for leaky toilets, new water heater, clogged drain from disposal. I had a leaky base around a faucet and they came out replaced a cartridge in faucet, which turned out to be a faulty cartridge, they came out AGAIN and replaced the cartridge in faucet and then sent me a bill for -0-. What I am thus doing, is getting on yelp and bragging about them and how they stand behind their work! Two man came out here one was a student he didn't nothing about this water heater he call his boss after he arrived at the job he had to call tech support twice because after his 30 years experience he was not familiar with that kind of water heater . He told me if there not familiar with any kind of products we have to call tech support of course there charge the costumer as well for waiting on the phone.
