Dining area right outside the food truck
    Maynard O.

Came here on a Wednesday night around 8:30pm. I ordered online in advance and just waited outside for my order. There were plenty of parking spots around this time. Not really an ambience since there's not much as far as a dining room. There are a couple of cocktail tables where you could eat. After ordering online at 20:20pm, my estimated pick up time was 8:39pm and got the order at 9:03pm. The cashier informed me their chicken is taking a while and added extra time to the wait. It probably would've been faster if they weren't so backed up. I ordered the Wagyu beef and chicken shawarma plate for me and my wife to share. I added 3 falafels and pita bread on top of it. The food was still fresh when I got home 15 mins later. Everything was good and just enough for us two. Also, I'm not sure why there's a range of where they may be located on Yelp since this is just a food truck that seems to be permanent at this location.

I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. It was good! For what it is. It didn't completely blow me away. I have had better shawarma from some random guy in NYC. I have had a lot of wagyu, and if no one told me this was wagyu, I wouldn't have known. It was like regular steak. The whole experience would be better if you could eat it fresh and not take it to go. The egg rolls and fries got a little soggy on our 3 minute drive to the park. I bet they would have been amazing if they were served on a plate. They do have e a couple tables, but they are standing only. The sauces are REALLY good. The jalapeño hummus is super good! You can sub it out on a plate. It's a cool truck and San Diego needs more of these types of trucks. It is filling and worth going. At least once.

Stoped by shawarma guys, and it was very yummy! It's a classic shawarma sandwich, the meat was very juicy and seasoned well. The sandwich itself isn't filled with a bunch of toppings, just pickles and turnips. I personally enjoy a more simple sandwich, but definitely worth coming by and trying! People were super nice and helpful, location is super easy to find.

We grabbed lunch while we were in town and I remember this place had great vegan options. It was hard to decide between the vegan chicken cutlet or vegan cheese steak but since it's rare to find a vegan cheese steak, I went with that. I'd normally get the breaded vegan chicken cutlet and honestly, it's cooked to perfection but I needed to try something new. My husband got the wagyu beef schwarma plate and loved it. We shared the baklava and got a side of fries as well. Our food came out quickly after ordering. Overall, really good and it hit the spot!

Shawarma Guys is serving Mediterranean food from their food truck on grape Street that also has a no frills high-top table and tent to enjoy the food there. SERVICE Order ahead online or in person. Staff calls out names. FOOD 5/5 Wagyu Beef Shawarma Egg Rolls (2pcs) So flavorful and freshly made - do not skip the garlic sauce! Other ingredients include secret sauce, caramelized onions, jalapeños, and white American cheese wrapped in a crispy wonton blanket.

The original Shawarma Guys food truck still operates to this day. One of our friends insists this location tastes the best so I had to drop by to see if that was truly the best. Had their usual Shawarma bowl (5/5) and Wagyu Beef Shawarma Fries (6/5). I couldn't tell the difference between this location versus other Shawarma Guys stores which was good since that proved their quality control was on-point. My partner has me now hooked on Shawarma Guys. Their food was Halal and good for the soul!

This feast feeds a family! Look at all that protein. This family tray was perfect for a get together night in. The falafel was my favorite! Paired with the garlic sauce, chef's kiss.

We got the half beef and half chicken plate to try. Trust me when I say--stick with the beef. The chicken was good too, but it wasn't as tender or flavorful as the beef. I'd definitely come back again. There's so much flavor, and everything pairs really well together. I especially enjoyed the green mixture they served on the side--it had cilantro, onion, and tomato (I think?). It was citrusy and added the perfect fresh crunch to the rice and beef. We also got the falafel, but that was a miss. It was dry, hard, and lacking in flavor. We couldn't even finish it. I'd skip that one.

This used to be a 5-star place for us, but the food quality has really gone downhill. The last 2 times we've been, the sandwich/wrap just falls apart. I just purchased this 15 minutes ago and the bread is so stale.

I ordered the Wagyu Beef and Chicken Shawarma plate $20, which came with basmati rice, hummus, tabouli, and some pita bread. The meat was tender and the tabouli added a balance of freshness that complimented the richness of the meat and hummus. I recommend adding a side of their garlic sauce for $1 extra to dip your pita bread into. Their Wagyu beef shawarma egg rolls and chicken shawarma egg rolls are a good appetizer as well. We really enjoyed them. Tip: Kids eat free with a paid adult entree! What a nice bonus. They don't sell drinks but you can buy drinks next door at the liquor store. They make your order fresh to order so allow 5-10 minutes depending on the line.

Mediterranean food is easily one of my top 5 cuisines. I wasn't sure what to expect from a food truck, so I've passed on this place a few times. Finally gave them a shot. The wagyu beef shawarma? Flavor bomb. Tender, juicy, melt in your mouth beef that made me experience a moment of euphoria. The hummus? Creamy, silky, so good and so smooth it felt like it was hitting on me :) Now let's not forget about the Wagyu beef shawarma egg rolls? These little bundles of fried goodness slapped harder than an Asian mom on report card day. Service is quick, portions are decent, and everything tastes freshly made. Shawarma guys will be on my repeat list. Give them a go and see for yourself. Welp! Onto the next!

I've been to the Mira Mesa location and I loved! But this food truck location... questionable, especially for the og... me and my friend got the beef and chicken plate, and the chicken plate AND WE BOTH FELT NAUSEOUS AND STOMACH ACHE IMMEDIATELY AFTER ! Really disappointed. + you can tell from the picture. I barely pushed the food around and there's ZERO rice ??? For $19 not worth for the amount or the sickness.

    Elaine G.

My favorite shawarma spot in San Diego. We always get the wagyu beef and chicken shawarma combo. Portions are large, easily making 2 meals for myself. Both meats are good, but if you're debating between the two I'd choose the beef. I'm not too much of a hummus person, only when I get this plate as it's fresh and smooth. Staff is always friendly. It can take a bit of time for your food if it's busy but it's worth the wait.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was delicious. They had unfortunately run out of baklava, but Raz came through like a superhero! I'm not sure why they're called something different, but that tangy flavor adds such an amazing touch to the meal. Thank you, Tahini, for a great meal, great atmosphere, and a great evening with my cousin. And Raz, you're definitely our baklava superhero! ‍ Five stars all around!
