We are at the tail end of a labor case that was taken on by this firm and I would highly recommend going with someone else. We originally chose this group because we were promised responses in a timely manner. Many other firms took way less of a percentage but being kept up to date and being able to reach the attorneys was our priority. My husband has ended up having to call several times during every step of this process and has not once received a call back. He only spoke to someone when he was lucky enough to catch them in the office. We are awaiting our settlement check currently and we just found out there are delays of which we weren't aware. Despite assurances in March 24, 2022 email from Charlie no third party has spoken or left me a voicemail to assist me. Charlie asked me to return his call if no one calls yet he doesn't return mine nor email and text. Total misrepresentations and a waste of my time. Abramson Law Group refused to represent me but to later call they can refer me to a third party and then fail to do so is tantamount to bait and switch, misrepresentation, unethical business ethics teasing the public. read more

My attorney made me feel pressured to resign and take a very low settlement which they take a large chunk out of. And now over a month after the settlement they were no longer answering my calls and only after I said that the attorneys representing my employer sent them a payment on my behalf (a month prior) they responded by saying that they never received a payment on my behalf. Thanks to them I'm a lot worse off than before. I am low income and now struggling to keep up with my bills because now I'm unemployed thanks to them! I don't recommend them at all. Complete disaster. Submitted two cases for wrongful termination and they let both of my former companies I worked for take advantage of them. One company didn't want to settle out of court and they didn't put up much a fight. Instead, they tried to outsource that case to another lawyer to see if they would take it on. All the referrals they made contact with rejected my case. In the second case, I asked for a considerable amount from the second firm. They fought for me and only recovered barely 1% of what I was requesting. Again, they were take. Advantage of by the second firm I was terminated from and didn't put up much of a fight! Do not hire these people unless you are willing to settle for less than what you want! read more

Based on my experience (wrongful termination)... do NOT use ABRAMSON LABOR GROUP. (1) They do NOT LITIGATE and they bury this FACT in the "fine print" of your contract. They do NOT tell you this important fact during their phone consultation. (2) After 1 phone consult the paralegal (Tariq) sent the demand letter without allowing me to review even though I requested review twice. It was FULL of errors and omissions. I was told "sorry it is too late". (3) I spoke with 5 (five) different staff (Kelly Odabashian/Jennifer Echeverria/Tariq/Paola AND Marissa Escamilla regarding my case and NEVER the attorney "assigned" to my case IF indeed there was one. (4) Never ONCE did Abramson initiate a call. I frequently left messages with NO return calls. (5) My case was accepted by Abramson May 2021. It was "referred out" to a "REAL" law firm in September 2021. I left 5 (five) messages for Paola for a status update... never once receiving a return call. Yesterday (12/28) I insisted on speaking with a staff person and Marissa called me back (shocker). This conversation resulted in her emailed my my DISENGAGEMENT letter AT MY REQUEST. I receive regular updates about the status of my case along with prompt and professional case workers. Upon ringing their office, the call is not ever sent to voice mail, rather, an office employee answers the phone and speaks to you in a calm and polite manner. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this lawyer group. Communication was consistently subpar, with prolonged response times and a significant delay in addressing emails, often taking 1-2 weeks for a reply. Unfortunately, the intake process seemed to result in a complete misinterpretation of the facts of my case. The attorney assigned to me consistently provided inaccurate information, either due to incompetence or a mishandled communication process within the firm. To exacerbate matters, they attempted to contact me through various letters sent to my residence, none of which I received. It was later discovered that they had the wrong address throughout the entire period, leading to further frustration and hindering progress on my case. Moreover, a letter sent to the opposing party contained factual inaccuracies, giving them an advantage and diminishing the effectiveness of the firm's representation. As other reviews have stated, they don't litigate your case. All they will do for you is send a demand letter to your opposing party and collect settlement money. Throughout the entire process, you have no contact with your attorney. You communicate through the attorney's assistant, who constantly gets facts wrong. They told me I had a strong case at the start, and 6 months later, with almost no communications at all, they told me they had to drop the case. More than 12 emails I have written to them for updates were ignored. My original concerns and complaints about the opposing party were largely ignored, leaving me with the impression that this group lacked the dedication to fight for my interests. The overall lack of commitment and the absence of a client-focused approach made me feel undervalued. While I acknowledge that this is a "free" lawyer group, the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true, and in this instance, the service fell far short of expectations. read more

I told them I wanted to sue outright (not settle) but they ended looking to settle with my previous employer. I requested an initial consultation. Once scheduled and confirmed I continued to receive multiple emails from their staff asking me if I wanted to schedule a consultation. When I called they confirmed my consultation was scheduled but continued to email me asking if I wanted to schedule one. On the day of my appointment the staff were not timely and did not call at the scheduled time. Once I called them they told me they could not work with me as they only work with people who are seeking claims against private employers. This is something they could have told me in the very beginning when I provided the initial information and requested the consultation. Very disorganized and poor communication. I will say one thing the workman's comp department is excellent the termination department or a bunch of crooks all they do is care about a quick cash so they will get you $2,700 by $3,000 but that's going to be it they will start off real high asking for a large amount like $110,000 like they did with me then they will lower it to 100 and 75,000 and then they settle for $2,7500 I had a witness they never talked to him and got a statement into the last day they never even far as I know even submitted the information from the witness to the school that I was suing it was more than obvious that my lawyer was in cahoots with the oppositions lawyer you got to think about this my lawyer probably made three calls and made almost $3,000 that's a lot of money for a lawyer they do not go to court so whoever you're going against they know that so they will lowball you to death your lawyer will act like he's getting information from client support you will keep on telling you to keep sending your information to client support but they will never read this this is to keep you busy and at the end of it all your lawyer will tell you what you can either take the $2,750 or you can get another firm to represent you telling you you do not have a case well if I didn't have a case why would you start off at 110 why would you go to 100 why would you go to 75,000 if I didn't have a case and then you come back to me well they're not going to go any further than 5,000 or 5500 and then I have to split that with you anybody who reads this should be calling legal bar services and put in a complaint and the better Business bureau but everybody do the best to shut this company down now my case is over and I only got $2,750 I could have got more I went to labor board myself and I could have got my job back on top of that my employer has decided to go after me for my unemployment by the way they're not supposed to be talking to anybody and neither am I about this case I can talk about it because I'm talking about my lawyer I'm not talking about the school that did me wrong but the school that did me wrong they're blocking my unemployment or trying to by putting down negative comments about me meanwhile and the paperwork we signed they cannot say anything. Where do I START!!I was in my opinion and supposedly theirs as well wrongfully terminated in August. The day after,after being distraught having finally finding a job after being laid off for so long.I reached out to some firms that deal with this.I actually found one,but wanted to see if I was making the right decision. Long story short I ended up going with this firm.I contacted them,had a phone consult. I was subsequently contacted asked again about the details of my termination. I relayed everything that was said and what happened. I received an email,signing forms to retain this firm. Regrettably so.It started out well.I started having to reach out to them,being told so MANY different things.Offers were sent,letters were written etc.Never knowing anything more or less.Some seemed irritated just talking to me.Before Christmas, I finally got to speak to an Actual attorney. I thought I was gaining momentum. Oh but how wrong I was.He did not even know why I had filed the claim asking me for details that he should have known. Having worked previously for a personal injury Attorney I found this egregious!!Nonetheless I still had hope.Thinking that I would finally be receiving some form of justice. Fast forward to the present. I just the other day spoke to this same attorney, who basically told me that my case was baseless. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!Five months later,high hopes and being told that my case was actionable and that I would receive something. I was terminated unlawfully in Oct 2023. I contacted Abramson Labor Group their response was unprofessional they did not take legal action against the company instead they settled for late payment of final payments which was $2000. Looked like they simply compromised my case with company and they charged 50% of the $2000 late payment. So finally when I got more evidence after 2 months and called them along with email evidences they would shut me of not respond to my phone calls or emails. Originally would've liked to give them 5 stars as they helped me win my settlement but once they got their money, it's like they were impossible to reach. I'm having issues with the tax form they provided for my taxes and I've called on several occasions and left messages for Jorge with NO response. Finally he answered my call and let me know to send him what I have via email and he'd get back to me- I've now emailed him THREE times and no response!! I even marked it as urgent and ask they he reply immediately due to me not being able to reach him via phone or email and nothing. Tax day is 6 days away and I've had ZERO HELP from the law firm and they've now put me in a horrible situation instead of simply helping me with what I need. I spoke briefly with someone very junior on their team, who then turned the call back around to the receptionist for a retainer agreement. This felt like a red flag to me, as I'd already fielded calls to other lawyers who actually put a lawyer on the phone with me for a consult. I declined to sign a retainer under such perimeters. That would have been bad enough. However, I then proceeded to receive multiple calls and multiple emails pushing me to sign their retainer. Clearly they are just trying to get people on board to pay their fees regardless of whether or not they think someone has a case, and they use aggressive sales closing techniques to try to lock you in on signing their retainer. This place checks all the red flags for me. I had to tell them to stop calling to get them to leave me alone. Avoid. read more

Do not even bother calling them. Directly call the Federal and state to file your case. They are very unprofessional and they sell your information to the defendant without you knowing that. They rather get to the money by any mean without any hustle and then they force you to settle to a smaller amount. This is how they do business, they put a HUGE number on the demand letter and a year later you end up collecting PENNY. Anyway, stay away from them and if you need help make sure you are going through the government offices as they can always help you. TERRIBLE! Abramson gave me the wrong information, said I couldn't file a workman's comp case due to not being on the job long enough. HOWEVER, I now have a workman's case with another firm who indeed filed it, stating I was given the WRONG INFORMATION. Abramson thus wasted almost a year of my time as a result of this. They have TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION! No one answers your messages, or gets back to you! Customer service reps who might as well be in Manila answer to appease all of their disgruntled clients! No one ever returns calls or messages! I've been left in LIMBO without any communication for almost a year in regard to a wrongful termination case. They have been " looking for a new attorney" for 6 months now, still SUPPOSEDLY handling my wrongful termination case but never communicating or doing anything! All they seem to want, is to take half of your refused severance pay. They'd automatically get half of it. I HIGHLY REGRET allowing this firm to handle my case. I had recommended so many people to them but I will definitely be going back and telling them do not work with this company very big waste of time if this was a true law firm they would be using their skill to win all types of cases not just open and shut ambulance Chaser cases. They did the same thing to my husband on his case. I had a whistleblower retaliation case for being demoted and harassed after reporting sexual misconduct, and sexual harassment from my supervisor, as well as harassment from higher ups and they claim that they couldn't get in contact with me though I don't have a single email, when they needed things from me if they weren't able to reach my phone they had no issue calling my husband's phone to get a hold of me however when they're not able to take your case which is the only reason I settled for less on the workers comp case then they all a sudden have no idea how to get a hold of me. This is a joke of a law firm. High pressure sales in the beginning to get you to sign on. After 2 years they ruined what little chance I had to do something with my employer of 20 years so I could at least leave on amicable terms, but the people at abramson will only refer me to another attorney. WTH I don't trust anything from them anymore. I was never given the phone # of my attorney, Tatiana. Only an email that she rarely replied to. Here's the email I received yesterday: "Please allow this letter to serve as notice that after careful consideration we have concluded that it is not feasible for Abramson Labor Group to continue to represent you regarding your employment claims in the above referenced matter. When we began working on your case we believed we could create a significant impact, however, with additional information it is clear we will not be able to have the impact we had hoped to achieve for you. Accordingly, this is to confirm that our engagement has terminated. We no longer have an attorney-client relationship with you for your employment case and will not render further legal services unless we enter a subsequent engagement. Please understand that we are not telling you that you have no case at all, we are simply informing you that this office can no longer pursue your case. If you have an active workers compensation matter with our firm that active claim is not affected by this notice. You should act immediately to secure an attorney if you wish to pursue this employment matter.
