The team handled a boisterous group of almost 40 with aplomb, and a week later people are still talking about how fast everything moved. It set the perfect tone for the whole weekend. I already liked The Canteen but now hold them in a place of special regard. Plus...the jumbo pretzels.

Christian is a dedicated young man, and as I told him he is like "an old soul in a young body". I mean that with the highest regard! He is completely squared away, he was personable, kind, and friendly while still tending to all of the guests that were there. One thing that impressed me the most is how he kept his bar so organized.....he has an incredible attention to detail... before he served any drink, he put a straw in it, pulled it out with his finger held over the top of the straw and sampled a taste of the drink, and then would throw the straw away. I've only seen this done at a few establishments, which I can tell you Cecilia is at the top of the list and the epitome of a wonderful experience! The only thing I would ask in return is that the owner of Cecilia's please recognize Christian for all of his efforts. Too often in life, people are very quick to complain about a negative experience and as a result, no one will take the time to reward positive experiences. Overall, those were pretty minor issues compared to the rest of the experience. Great vibes, good food, and we'd definitely come back the next time we're in Breckenridge.

Mashed potatoes and gravy are a personal favorite and these were no exception. Service was quick but we were there on the earlier side of dinnertime. I imagine this place gets hopping as the night goes on. One of us got an aperol spritz and said it was delicious. My only notes are I'll have to go back for the live music and some drinks. Cheers!

Since moving to Breck the Absinthe Bar has become my favorite spot! They always provide a great experience and they have, by far, the best absinthe selection I have ever seen! Anita and BJ are very knowledgeable and willing to share, they serve each glass according to the custom in the country that the absinthe originated, and they have even come up with their own tasty concoctions such as the Chronic Bomb and Absinthe Bears.
