Something about a Tiki bar makes me feel at home. Perhaps I was on the HMS Bounty visiting Tahiti in a past life. The mai tai cocktail with a rum floater hit the spot, but chef failed on the "Chicken/Pineapple Fried Rice" Lunch Special. No pineapple. Not a big deal, and for $17.00, I enjoyed the service and atmosphere enough to ignore missing fruit? No, sorry chef, but for a $17.00 bowl of SPECIAL Fried Rice, you'd better try harder. - 1*

Located at the Blue River Lodge this tiki bar and the Breckenridge River walk. Nestled right in a corner and lit up to welcome all. There is an entrance inside the hotel down a longer corridor as well. Greets and seated immediately. The decor is fantastically tropical. The servers were so fun and friendly. It may be a tiki bar but this establishment welcomes all ages. Grad for large groups, individuals or couples. We were a party of three, came at happy hour and drank and ate off the amazing HH menu. You can buy the cups too if you like certain ones. The food was so tasty , we all enjoyed the coconut shrimp. The service here is absolutely fantastic. I'll come back here again when in Breck.

Cute little restaurant! Very tiki and Hawaiian vibes! I got the spicy pork ramen and it was 8/10! Loved their deviled eggs.

Awesome tiki bar in downtown Breck! Finding it was a bit tricky as it's slightly off the main strip, so we parked and walked a little bit. But if you park in their parking lot, then there is very little walking required! We sat at the corner of the bar. The bartenders are cool and friendly... and were quick to come over to provide us with menus! They were equally quick to take our orders... which I always appreciate. Cocktails are what it's all about at tiki bars... and Castaways Cove does not disappoint! I ordered the Saturn. It was filled with passion-fruity goodness along with that delicious gin! Sooooo goood! The deviled eggs were wonderful and gluten-free... and highly recommended. But the star of the food show for me was the Spam Musubi! Next time I would probably order it with light teriyaki sauce... mostly because it was so rich and filling, so I wasn't able to eat more while I was sitting there, lol! All of Castaways Cove's sauces are gluten-free! When in Breck, be sure to hit up Castaways Cove!! Overall rating: *****FIVE STARS***** Gluten-free rating: *****FIVE STARS*****

Good happy hour with unique food, great service and nice ambiance with outdoor seating along the river. We would like to back and try the bowls and the cheeseburger and Mac salad. Will update after we die.

There was only one person working the bar and the whole restaurant and she did a fantastic job taking care of everyone. The tiki themed atmosphere was fun and the outdoor seating along the river is very nice but the Spanish music was sort of an odd choice. The non alcoholic drinks were delicious and the Zombie tasted very strong (they limit you to two!) The food was over sauced, over salted and generally lacking in flavor. We really wanted to like this place but even with the great service and fun atmosphere, we would not come back for the food.

We went in for drinks & the tiki vibe. Drinks were delicious, fire action was fun, and the bartenders were awesome! We so want to go back to eat sometime because the food sounds amazing!!! It was hard for us to find this place, it's tucked in off the main road. So glad we found it though!

    Menu as of 7/22/25

The food was ok not great, prices are what you'd expect for Breck. The service was crappy. I asked for an orange slice for my beer, the waiter forgot, promised to get one again and forgot. I never recv'd it. The waiter never came around to fill our water. Took a while to get the check. Kids meal smelt like my dogs blue buffalo food. So, I'd go elsewhere until they get their &$@" together!!

This place was great, from the location, the atmosphere to the staff, food and drinks I cannot think of something I would complain about. For being a small hidden off spot at the bottom of a hotel they really figured out a product that worked. After chatting with our server we were recommended the staff favorite drink called the Jungle Bird and it was amazing. The Mai tai was also delicious, more rum forward than the jungle bird which was great. We split appetizers (pork bao buns and musubi) both of which were great as well as two mains. We were definitely overfed by the time we left but neither of us had complaints. Thanks to Duncan for great conversation and great service, we will definitely be back in the future to this hidden gem!

We had spent the…read morebetter part of a week speaking in the specialized, high-altitude jargon of modern educators, and our brains had turned to a substance resembling lukewarm oatmeal. Denver had been baking under a relentless sun all week, but by Tuesday night, the universe repented. A cool breeze moved across the tiny outdoor patio like a formal apology from the atmosphere. The inside of Adrift is a total, unapologetic capitulation to the tiki gods. There is no half-heartedness here. It is a full-throttle environment of tropical greenery, bamboo, and high-proof rum. Naturally, in such surroundings we ordered drinks to stop the psychic bleeding. My eyes landed on a cocktail called The Adrift. The menu warned that it carried a strict limit of two per person, that the ingredients were protected by a non-disclosure agreement, and it featured two tiny skulls drawn next to the name. When a piece of paper warns you that a liquid is a state secret and might compromise your motor skills, it is your duty as a curious mammal to order it. It arrived in a heavy ceramic mug buried under enough foliage to hide a small sniper. It tasted marvelous and dangerously smooth, the sort of beverage that politely informs your frontal lobe that it is no longer in charge of the evening. A coworker ordered a classic Mai Tai, which only had one skull on the menu, a cautious, low-stakes life choice. She took a sip and made the exact face a person makes when they discover their pockets have been picked. Our server, who was hyper-alert to human discomfort, pounced instantly. Instead of hiding behind the ice machine, the bartender actually walked out to our patio table a few minutes later. She explained she had tasted the pour and realized the orange liqueur had been completely left out of the build. She apologized like a real person who had made a real mistake, and fixed it immediately. In a world where most businesses spend millions trying to convince you that their errors are actually your fault, this level of raw, unprompted honesty was impressive. We ordered a small mountain of plates to absorb the alcohol: Hawaiian mac salad, Volcano Fries, Spam musubi, and crab rangoons. This is communal, heavy, satisfying food meant to be stolen off your neighbor's plate while they aren't looking. For the main act, I had the Pirate Smash burger, which hit that strange, perfect note of sweet and spicy without overcomplicating a simple sandwich. There are grander, more expensive dining rooms in Denver where people look very serious and eat tiny portions of expensive foam. But Adrift gives you exactly what you need when adulthood becomes too heavy a burden to carry: large drinks, good grease, a slight breeze, and a room full of people who have temporarily forgotten about their responsibilities.

Like most tiki bars, they have various strengths of drinks. Some drinks are so strong you can only have two total. They also have food: shrimp, fries, lobster Rangoons, spam musubi, cucumber salad, Hawaiian Mac salad, Hawaiian rolls. So perfect bar/snack food to share. Service is perfect. I went searching for a non chain bar or restaurant to support and was shocked to see that Lakewood CO of all places had a local distillery and just had to try it. It honestly exceeded my expectations as I originally planned on coming in for one drink but left after trying 3 because it was so good. My first drink was the Coffee, God and Cigarettes. This drink offered a well-balanced blend of bitter and sweet notes, both light and flavorful. The tobacco finish is present but not overpowering, making for a very enjoyable overall experience. The 2nd drink I got was the old fashioned.... Which was made with both whiskey and rum in it which left me a bit nervous to actually order it. But don't let the rum fool you, this is a classic-tasting delicious Old Fashioned. Ironically, the rum has more traditional whiskey character than their white whiskey (which tastes like scotch). If you like Old Fashioneds, you'll find this version delicious. I finished with the Serrano Cucumber Gimlet. It features a fresh cucumber essence and a well-balanced, subtle heat. A unique and excellent twist on the classic. All the in house spirits were great, Cameron the bartender on shift was able to answer any and all questions I had, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend giving this Lakewood distillery a shot
