Such a unique place with a unique menu! Each dish we ordered had its own twist that made it "Motherloaded." With Elvis watching over us, we ordered the hot chicken sandwich (they were able to do it grilled!) and the chicken tenders subbing the fries for a side of mac. The mac and cheese is a MUST and i would go back solely for that. Hot chicken sandwich was also delicious, the sauce being homemade and just the right amount of kick to it. Mashed potatoes and gravy are a personal favorite and these were no exception. Service was quick but we were there on the earlier side of dinnertime. I imagine this place gets hopping as the night goes on. One of us got an aperol spritz and said it was delicious. My only notes are I'll have to go back for the live music and some drinks. If you are on vacation in Breckenridge you have to try The Motherloaded Tavern. It's a very casual setting as the name suggests. From the gentleman at the front sitting tables to the server/bartender everyone was super friendly! Their food was really good. I got the meatloaf sandwich and we also ordered the fried okra and pickles. Their cheese curds are definitely the best I've had! Located right on the strip downtown and easy to get to. We ordered the spam fries, fried pickles, chicken and waffles, mac and cheese with steak, and the chicken sandwich. The fried pickles were great, but you really can't go wrong with those. Mac and cheese was loadeddd with cheese, It wasn't my meal but had a few bites and it was really good. I had the salmon fish and chips and found the salmon to be great. The fries are thin and crispy. The sauce that came with the fish and chips was a bit sweet for my liking, but overall good. They were the only place that let us walk in with a big group (7 people). Decent happy hour with $7 Odell Mountain Standard IPA, $4 PBR. We wandered into this place on a Saturday afternoon for lunch after a long hike. I was craving some chili and a hot beverage since it was cold outside. This place was not busy for lunch on opening weekend, and they had a long list of hot beverages (alcoholic and not) which was much appreciated. I got a hot apple cider (non-alcoholic) and my husband got the earl grey gin and lemonade (cold drink) and it was so so good. My husband got the Brie and turkey sandwich which was very good. It came with fries which were well seasoned. I got the chili - which I had been craving. It was spicy!! I think I just forgot that people make chili spicy since that is not how I do it. It was alright. I should have asked for some sour cream or saw if they had any cornbread. My husband ended up giving me half of his sandwich and ate most of my chili, which worked out. The staff were nice, there were games on for my husband to watch, and we warmed ourselves after our cold morning out. There is parking right out front if any of the spots are open, but we just walked from our airbnb since this place is right on main street. read more

Our second night in town and the "second birthday dinner", later reluctantly 'my choice' for our dinner this night. Very much a letdown, however we did get lucky and landed a large table around 5:30pm on this Saturday night, before Thanksgiving this year, to sit our large party of eight. Behind us, the place filled before we realized that every chair, with what appeared to a very local crowd with kids adults, elderly and us . . . vacationing tourists. A neat place especially in the back bar area that seated only the 'most local' folks and some very unique decor and photos. Somewhat similar opportunities exist throughout 'Breck' as I have been learning. Food was missing on all criteria. Weird textures and bland Denny's-like flavors; and despite the appealing words and descriptions used on the menu, "there's nothing to see here". We were all very disappointed, but it was our dinner, so we did our best. The "nachos' of house-made potato chips got only one bite from each of the eight at our table (see pic). " ---- Señor Ramon: There is no flavor. There are no spices. Where are the chips? -- Nacho: Somebody stole them. -- Señor Ramon: Did you not tell them that they were the Lord's chips? We stopped by The Motherloaded Tavern for dinner and had a solid experience. The dinner entrées were good, while the appetizers--fried pickles and fried mac & cheese bites--were just okay. The service was great, and the people there were friendly and welcoming. The casual, laid-back atmosphere made it an easy and enjoyable stop while we were out doing touristy things. The Motherloaded Tavern is an interesting pub on Main Street. Breck has some high quality places in the vicinity and the competition between them is high amongst tourists. For me, the food left more to be desired. But overall, it's a humble tavern serving the community. Post hike and I was craving a burger...what else is knew?! There are some places nearby that I absolutely love, but I wanted to patron a business that was new to me. A quick Yelp search led me to Motherloaded and their spacious patio on a beautiful summer day. Got MILF? Say what now? Get your mind out of the gutter, here it means "Mothers In Love with Food." Many of the servers were wearing these t-shirts. Clearly this place has a sense of humor, doesn't take themselves too seriously, and ultimately you gotta appreciate places like this. Traditional pub fare dominates the rather large menu. Like I said, I knew I wanted a burger, so my eyes darted directly to the burger section. +Royal with Cheese & Bacon ($18) // You have your choice of cheese, I went with American of course. 100% black angus beef. All burgers cooked to medium temp unless otherwise noted. For me the burger was a bit dry and slightly overdone. The bones of a great burger were there, it just fell short IMO. But damnit, you won't leave here hungry! I've had some incredible burgers, pizza and other pub style food in Breck. Motherloaded wasn't as memorable as the places that come to mind. However if you're looking for a casual meal with a beer or two on the patio, this establishment will get you from point A to point B. read more

Took the family out for dinner one night here. The Motherloaded Tavern was jam-packed and we were lucky to get a booth for 4. Our server had a great sense of humor and he also made a great cocktail. The chilli was a hearty dish after a long day out in the cold. It's mostly pub-style food overall. We got the impression that it's a locals hangout -- which was refreshing after a week of tourists around every corner. We loved the festive and lighthearted atmosphere. This is the motherload of taverns! So happy we stumbled into this spot tonight after a day of snowboarding. Located right on Main St. Inside is super cozy, warm, with the perfect dim lighting. Service was absolutely incredible! Everyone was super nice, patient, and friendly. The food is 5 stars for sure! The Chipotle Caesar Salad is incredible. The spicy dressing is very unique and goes so well with the candied pecans. The fried mac & cheese bites was a really good choice for an appetizer. My fried chicken and mashed potatoes was also extremely good and cooked to perfection. The batter they use is full of flavor. My friend Mac & Cheese entree was delicious as well. this is my fourth year coming to Breckenridge and we always come back to this restaurant. They have excellent service and amazing food that is decently priced although this salad was about $25. Excellent experience at Motherloaded Tavern. Sat on the dog-friendly patio (3 humans + 4 dogs) and waitstaff was super kind and loved on the pups. Started with Max n' cheese bites- which were awesome. Then 2 chicken strip baskets and 1 chicken and waffles sandwich. Food was very good. We tried the Motherloaded Tavern for dinner last night. The vibes in the restaurant were fun: a very classic ski-town bar feel. The people working at Motherloaded were great, but the food was just OK. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich which was fried nicely but dry. I asked for an extra side of hot sauce because the sandwich was dry, but I also like a ton of sauce. Other people at the table ordered burgers and enjoyed them. However, it may be smart to order the burger medium rare because the medium burgers were a bit over cooked. The caesar salad with chicken was great with warm grilled chicken, and the loaded mashed potatoes were tasty comfort food. The tater tots and fries were amazing! And the Mac n cheese was rich and creamy. Overall, I'd recommend this spot if you're looking for an easy burger and beer situation. They offer live music some nights too! read more

We split the fried mac n cheese bites. They were okay. The batter was flaky and yummy, however the filling reminded me of kraft mac n cheese -- mixed feelings. Nostalgia but also not what I was expecting/what I wanted. To eat got the grilled chicken cesar salad. Reasonable size for the cost and the chicken was seasoned really well. The best thing I had was the drink-- cherry limeade mason jar cocktail. Swapped outt the vodka for the house infused Raspberry Tequila, it was YUM! Stopped at the Motherloaded Tavern while in Breck last weekend after finishing our hike up Quandary. Great location right on Main street and we were able to find parking in a lot across the street. We got seated right away which was great. We were completely exhausted and famished after hiking for 7 hours. The restaurant is a bit dated but the decor is on point for the "mother" theme. Thoroughly enjoyed the servers MILF tshirts and funny swag around the place. We shared fried mac n cheese bites, cheese curds, nachos and chicken tenders.
