Don't do the Skeeball, the scoring is not accurate!
    Warren D.

Date of visit: February 13, 2025 We were looking for a little spot of ice cream on a Thursday night in the Silverthorne area and the pickings my friend, were quite slim! After a couple of false starts, we found Summit Scoops inside the Bluebird Market. They serve Chocolate Shoppe brand ice cream, which is both from, and a favorite in Wisconsin, so it was nice to have a little taste of home here in Colorado. There was just one person working so it took a while to get an order in as the folks in front of us had some picky children in the mix, but once it was our turn we were able to get our shakes relatively fast. The market itself is a bit small, though the town is also small so I won't hold it against them, there just wasn't much to it. Great layout but execution was a bit lacking. Also frustrating that for a cashless venue the arcade games required tokens and even more frustrating that the skee ball was in bad shape, it would not record half of the score!

A cute little food hall, with several food options, drinks, and some tvs usually playing the game. We were able to easily find seating. And food didn't take too long to come out. But I do wish there was a wider variety of vendors.

Maybe we came on an off day or something but we tried four different options in the food hall and all four were just meh. It didn't impress me especially cause it was kind of pricey. The tacos were burnt including the filling so the whole thing just tasted burnt. Pizza was okay but nothing mind blown. The bbq was very sweet which isn't my cup of tea. The fries were probably the best thing we ordered. The ice cream was okay. It was good for what it was. I'm giving two stars overall because while the food hall is clean, the food needs some change. It was sad to eat burnt food. Best part about this market hall is the plentiful seating available. There are large windows so it's great when you're here with a larger group.

Their website needs to be updated. It does state that there is a self pour beer station available but that is no longer there. Upslope brewing is there now and it also says that the Mighty Burger is here but that has been replaced by another burger shop. Service was excellent! The beer-tender was great, let us try a few before committing and was super friendly. However, one of the beers we wanted wasn't pouring correctly and the keg couldn't be fixed at the time. Food was great! Had some chicken sandwiches from Lucky Bird and they were really fresh, the Nashville hot chicken was very hot!! So beware! Plenty of seating inside and outside as well as a kids play area.

This place has a lot of potential with some cool food offerings such as empanadas, pizza, burgers, crêpes, and a bar (although the bar was closed when we visited on a Sunday afternoon). Upstairs, there's an area for arcade games including skee ball and vintage arcade games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The walls feature murals from a local artist and it feels unique and not like a typical food court. I appreciate they have a water station to fill your own water bottle. However, a couple things left a bad taste. One, it doesn't appear there's any air conditioning in the place, just ceiling fans, which were barely moving. Two, all the businesses here charge an additional 2.50% public improvement fee, which, with the state and local taxes, brought the overall tax on everything we bought to a whopping 11.28% owww. We tried 2 small empanadas from Lazos with a chimichurri sauce and one soda: almost $14 with all the tax.

Nice little food court without a shopping mall attached. Weird that No Asian or Middle Eastern food is represented, but there's still room for additional shops. Very clean, and Live Music on Friday

This is a food court/community center where people come to socialize, get food, let their kids run around and get out of the weather. The downstairs has all the food vendors. We sampled from several including Empanadas, Lucky Bird, Hook + Harvest and Crepes. My favorite was the spicy steak empanada from Lazo's. The meat was tender and juicy with a slight spicy flavor and the empanada was flaky and perfectly cooked. My least favorite was the chicken tenders at Lucky bird. I found them on the dry side and bland. Hook + Harvest was the slowest location with my mom having to wait on her food the longest while everyone else had already started eating. The Apple and Brie Crepe was a fun not too sweet dessert we all shared. Upstairs there is a game room a toddler area and a branch of the library. My daughter loved playing around and getting some energy out. You have to love that they built this place around the historic Old Dillon Inn. Extra star for that. I would come here again. The food is reasonable and everyone can find something to eat. It's a fun casual place to eat relatively quick.

The Mighty Burger with a side of cheese curds

We where very skeptical about bluebird market. After coming to the food court we where instantly hit by the heavenly smell of burgers, chili, chicken, crepes, and freshly baked cake. There are so many vendors to chose from. After taking a while to order I decided on The Mighty Burger with jalapeños and pickles with a side of cheese curds. It is the best burger I have had. I highly recommend the bluebird market to anyone interested in a tasty treat.

Chile rellano special burrito. Not much flavor.
    Melissa Z.

The market itself is great. Lots of options and a great spot to grab some food and a drink. However, I ended up choosing a burrito from Chimayo and it was disappointing. Got the chile rellano special burrito. You could barely tell there was a chile rellano in it. Rice and beans had no flavor. Lettuce was like a cabbage with spicy pico. For $15 plus tip, it was a let down. So 2 stars for Chimayo, 4 stars for the actual market.

We enjoyed this market twice while visiting from out of town. We had salads from Hooks and Harvest, fried chicken and sweet potato fries, and a pizza. They were all delicious and set at a fair price point. The lady working at Hooks and Harvest was super nice and accommodating. The ambiance is casual and fun. There was a bar in the middle and an ice cream shop and a bakery with a ton of items that looked absolutely delicious!

Who doesn't love a food hall? That's right, nobody. All of your favorite food spots in one building. And Blue Bird doesn't disappoint. Not a ton of parking, but hopefully they'll address this as they're developing the whole block. Once you make your way in you'll love the selection - tacos, bakery, ice cream, salads, pizza, burgers, etc. The beauty is that there's truly something for everybody. And by the looks of it they're still growing. Plenty of tables to create a comfortable space for groups of all sides. We grabbed salads from Hook & Harvest. Not a ton of fresh salads options in town so the create your own option is right up my alley. To be honest, they're a bit costly once all of the taxes and fees are added. However the flavor, size, and options helped to make up for it. My favorite part...the Old Dillon Inn is being restored right inside the building. A great way to embrace a historic landmark that had been abandoned and continue its life for many years to come.

Summit County has entered the food hall game- and it came in strong!!! I've been following and eagerly awaiting the Blue Bird Market for a few years and so thrilled it's doors are open! Fun historical fact- the original Old Dillion Inn was kept in its original form and the food hall was built around it! Looking forward to grabbing a drink here. We came by after a day of skiing- each person in our group got a little something different for the various vendors. All were excellent! More are on their way too- so we will definitely be back soon. Perfect apres ski destination!

The modern world forces a person to make too many final decisions. You must commit to a career, a…read moremortgage, and a twenty-ounce glass of alcohol before you even know if you like the taste of it. The Golden Mill rejects this entire high-stakes arrangement. Instead, they hand you a plastic card embedded with a microchip and invite you to wander around a historic, converted flour mill, conducting small, low-risk experiments on your own nervous and digestive systems. The mechanics are blissfully simple. You hand the host a credit card, they link it to a Golden Mill RFID card, and you instantly become a fully automated, self-regulating consumer. There are forty taps on the main wall downstairs and another sixteen up on the roof. They hold local craft beers, macro brews, ciders, wines, sake and even some premixed cocktails, all metered by the ounce. This setup creates a very specific kind of human delusion. When you are only pouring three ounces of a hazy IPA or two ounces of a heavy stout, your brain convinces itself that the laws of mathematics have been temporarily suspended. They have not. The ounces eventually conspire against you, and the tab can quietly evolve into a profound financial surprise the next morning. If you happen to get hungry during your experiments, there are five different food concepts scattered around the floor, covering everything from wood-fired barbecue and street tacos to sushi and fried chicken. If you are traveling with a group of friends whose dietary preferences have absolutely nothing in common, you can all wander off in different directions like stray livestock and reunite at the same table without a single argument. We took our glasses up to the rooftop patio. The view there is a strange study in scale. Below you is the rushing water of Clear Creek. Directly across the street sits the colossal industrial fortress of the Coors Brewery, churning out millions of barrels of macro-lager for the masses. There is a grand, quiet irony in standing on a roof, meticulously pouring four ounces of a highly specialized, small-batch sour beer while staring at one of the largest single-site breweries on the planet. When you are done, there is no agonizing wait for a server to bring a leather folder, and no competitive arithmetic over how to split the bill. You simply drop your plastic card into a collection box by the door and walk out into the Colorado night. The system automatically tallies your ounces and appends an 18% service fee to keep the house running smoothly. It is a wonderfully frictionless way to watch an afternoon accidentally become an evening.

As I was there today earlier than most students eat lunch, I found a table easily and it was quieter than in the past. An item I could eat easily was the Kimpop ( as they spell it) though the order was larger than I expected it was tasty, full of veggies and a little meat, some egg and many pickled bits. It was a bit on the sweet side as some pickles rely on sugar more than acid . A little more tang would have been nice. The Jasmine tea was also sweet, a poor choice by me though. But overall it was a satisfying lunch at an excellent price and I brought home enough for a snack for my husband when he gets back from Denver. We will try a hit and heartier meal to share next time.
