Wow! What a hidden gem. It's at the top of a hotel. I actually found out about from a sweet lady I sat next to on a flight to Colorado earlier that week. The view is amazing! The atmosphere is classy yet laid back. Beautiful decor and bar. They have half price bottles of wine on Wednesday. That was a nice surprise. We enjoyed their coconut shrimp. We loved the Sriracha teriyaki sauce. I removed one star because we waited a while for our fries and when they did come out, they were cold but good flavors. We had high hopes for hosting our wedding reception here, but the experience was ultimately stressful and disappointing. Communication from our original contact, Shawn Q., was slow, unprofessional, and at times outright rude. Key details were changed without notice, questions went unanswered for weeks, and there was no proactive planning support. After posting in Colorado wedding groups, multiple brides reached out to say they also felt like a burden for asking basic questions, so this seems to be a pattern, not an isolated case. The final straw was traveling from Chicago to Dillon for our menu tasting, only to find it hadn't been planned at all. Shawn Q. wasn't even on site, despite selecting and confirming the date and time six weeks earlier. When she did arrive, she was very late, came in with an attitude, and never offered an apology. On the positive side, Hunter, the Food & Beverage Manager, handled a bad situation with professionalism and empathy, and GM Shawn O. was courteous, responsive, and promptly refunded our deposit when we chose to cancel. Unfortunately, the prior 10 months of poor communication had already left us uneasy about trusting this venue with such an important day, and we ended up finding a new location just 3 months before our wedding. The views are beautiful, but if you're planning a wedding here, make sure you have the right people involved (like a dedicated wedding planner), or be prepared for unnecessary frustration. This venue has been the only stressful part of wedding planning for me, and we are relieved to have moved on. Tips: Review the bar packages carefully. At $45 per person per hour, a 5-hour event for 60 guests would be $13,500, making the $12,500 minimum for the 60-person "Loveland" package feel like a bait-and-switch. The atmosphere is pretty great with live music and friendly staff. The food prices are what you would expect in a ski town. $10+ beers and burgers $20+. I had the wagyu burger and fries. The meat was very good but the slices were way too big to take bites of without the bun completely falling apart. I diced the meat up and rebuilt the burger --- it was great after that. It's nice to have a bar/restaurant at your hotel so you don't have to drive. The wife and I came up for cocktails after being tourist in the area all day. Nice place! The bar was nice, the cheese curds were good and we enjoyed the "Vue". It does have great views of the mountains and Lake Dillon. It is pricey but we really didn't care much. The place is new, the wait staff are young kids from the area trying to make a go it. So, if you did get good service give them a little love with the tip. I asked if they were able to pocket their tips or had to pool them. Our young lady said she got to keep them. Would I make this my regular watering hole? Probably not, but if you're in the area it's definitely worth a "one and done". It looks like a great place to rent out for small social gatherings as well. The server we had was great and attentive, but a couple tables around us were dirty the whole time we ate our dinner and a few workers seemed very unprofessional.. for a hotel rooftop restaurant tho that's more to be expected. Didn't realize this restaurant was inside a hotel until we arrived... had to go through the hotel lobby and up the elevator to the top floor. Very beautiful and professional tables and just super cute. Delicious food!!! Pretty pricey but the taste and appearance made it worth it!!! read more

The Vue Rooftop is located in the beautiful Homewood Suites. Jordan, the Manager, was kind and went out of his way to make us feel welcome on both visits, even while being Hostess, waiter, and Manager! Austin was the bartender the first night and was a super cool guy who made beautiful cocktails! Another guy was working that night who had only been there three days (sorry, I did not catch his name), and he was so upbeat and friendly! Our food, from appetizers, salad, and main course (a perfectly cooked filet), was fantastic! On top of all that, the view was breathtaking! We were able to catch a double rainbow after a short drizzle that was amazing! I highly recommend The Vue and will return when in Dillon, CO! Great job! read more

My question is chicken white mashed potatoes with broccoli side why would you serve it with a brown beef mushroom, onion gravy. Wrong flavor combination sorry To be honest I've enjoyed chicken cordon blue from ALDIs better than this. The Vue burger pretty darn good but the sauce they served with it no thanks The portions nice size we left full but it was restaurant food so I guess what do you expect. There is outside seating but the host said the heaters never work, hmmm. Since it was about 38 degrees outside we opted for indoor seating. Next up we asked for the wine list; the waiter tells us there is no drink menu available? All of our meals were "bland", lacking flavor. She made 5 drinks for us and every single one was OUTSTANDING!! I WILL be back in the future thanks to her! We reserved an outside table of which when we got there, was not opened for dining. I think they were short staffed. The menu was incredibly limited with a very anemic looking burger. The small plates were just that and no big deal: nachos, coconut shrimp (the tastiest), very thin tasteless spring roll, burrata. Wouldn't recommend. read more

The rooftop view was BEAUTIFUL. The food was absolutely amazing! The mashed potatoes were the best potatoes me and my fiancé have ever had. Both of our meats were cooked perfectly. The waiter, Jordan, was the absolute best waiter we have ever had. We came in to celebrate our engagement and he bought desert for us. He wrote down "CONGRATS" on our desert plate. He was very very nice and attentive. 10/10 recommend and definitely coming back when we come visit Dillon again! read more

Comically bad. I made reservations for a Thanksgiving dinner. The ad stated that there was to be a choice of Prime Rib or Roasted Turkey. There was no turkey (this is Thanksgiving, remember?I Two sides included - mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, or sweet potato. Dessert included - choice of Pumpkin or Apple Pie. i don't eat red meat. Is there another option? Yes, hostess said, you can choose any other protein in place of the Prime Rib. Waiter told us there was no option besides Prime Rib. My dining partner chose mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. Waiter said there would be an extra charge for the second side (see above). Their regular menu was offered. OK, since there was no option for someone who doesn't eat red meat, I chose scallops with gnocchi and brussels sprouts. Sorry, I forgot to mention we don't have gnocchi. OK, how about mashed potatoes instead? Waiter consults with cook. Yes, that will be OK. Scallops arrive over mashed potatoes and BROCOLLI. I asked, what about the brussels sprouts? Oh, let me check with the chef. Returns, we're out of brussels sprouts. I point to the specials menu, which offers goat cheese brussels sprouts. I ask if they had brussels sprouts on the specials menu, why could I not have them with my scallops? That's a good question, he says. Never got an answer. Ordered wine. Would you like to keep the cork? Yes, please. Took the cork. After some time, the check arrived. It was the wrong check! Correct check finally received. Credit card presented. Waiter returns to table. Sorry, but I need your PIN number the POS system won't process debit card as a credit. Give the waiter the PIN. Waiter returns again. Oops, the POS timed out. Give him the PIN again. Get notification from my bank that the credit was processed twice. Now, any one or two of these things would have been OK, but all of them? It was obvious that there was some kind of quarrel between the back and the front of the house. Overall, very odd. read more

We've stayed at the Homewood Suites Hilton twice now (for Dillon Amphitheater shows) and visited Vue (their rooftop restaurant/bar) both times. We had great food and service experiences both times. This time I had the sockeye salmon which was absolutely delicious. We shared the lamp pops which were also fantastic. They were very busy since it was a Friday night and was a Dillon Amphitheater show night, but they were able to fit our party of 4 in without a reservation. Jordan, our server, was great - efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend Vue if you're in Dillon. read more

"It's all about the vue" should be taken quite literally. I have alot of patience from being in the service industry for many years but this was by far the worse experience I've ever had at a restaurant, it was almost comedic. We were sat promptly with our reservation but it took over 45 minutes to get drinks. After ordering a bottle of wine, which was sat on our table for 20 minutes (still corked and with no glasses) I had to get up to get my own glasses as I was brushed off by other employees after asking for help. During this wait, we witnessed several other tables looking around for assistance meanwhile waiters were standing around doing absolutely nothing and even saw two tables leave out of frustration. As they left and told an employee, he said okay and didn't seem to care as if it was a common occurrence. After an hour and a half the food came out and was actually half decent other than my girlfriend's chicken tenders being literal rubber and my plate looking as if someone had snacked on half the fries before it came out (see picture for reference). Our waiter was nice at first but made passive aggressive remarks as the night went on as we vocalized our complaints. One example would be when we were ordering drinks and told her we were also ready to order food, she claimed "I took your food and drinks order together, which I didn't want to do, just for you" To management: The restaurant is small with about 10 tables.. this should easily be covered with the amount of staff you have. Either hire new staff or teach them to be better because there is so much lost potential here. Shoutout to the chef for the pretty good wagyu sandwich and the busboy for having to deal with his waiters. TDLR: Do not come here unless you're in for a sitcom-like dining experience, just bring some drinks and snacks while you wait for your order to come out and it'll be a fun experience. My experience at the Vue was awesome! It is a small restaurant at the top of a hotel in Dillon, CO. The view is spectacular. It overlooks the lake, and the surrounding peaks. My wife and I went on a Thursday in June at about 5:30 pm and there was no wait at that time. I had a the signature burger, and it was amazing, while my wife had the 4cheese mac and cheese "shareable". The portion of the mac and cheese was fairly small, but the server/owner? explained that before we bought it. She thought the mac and cheese was okay, but I really liked it. We finished of the meal with a S'mores desert, and that was also amazing. Other than the food being stellar, the staff was very friendly, and the ambiance emanated class. I live on a middle class budget, and it was affordable for my wife and I to go out for a nice dinner. I would suggest not bring young children, but if you do, there is patio seating. This is outside of the main seating area, and to be honest, probably the best seating in house. read more
