We ordered the burger and added a fried egg, cheese, and mayo (which it doesn't come with originally). The burger was the standout--cooked perfectly, super satisfying, and honestly so good I ate the entire thing. The portions were huge and definitely more than expected. For fries, I got the garlic parm while my boyfriend ordered the regular. The fries weren't my favorite as they were a bit too hard and crispy for my taste. Staff was great and attentive and the environment was decorate nicely for the winter holidays. Overall, the burger alone makes this spot worth it, especially if you're hungry and looking for generous portions.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cute interior, has that historic saloon charm to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is an area for live music which wasn't playing the day we went.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is connected to a winery. Food was pretty solid and the portions were respectable. Got the salad and a burger , the burger was cooked to medium rare and they adhered to that request. There seems to be a happy hour menu as well. It is a self-seated restaurant but the servers were all very friendly and nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There seems to be a patio area as well but it was too cold for me to visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped in to the Gold Oan Saloon-boosting the longest liquor license West of the Mississippi. This super cool saloon offers a nice array of beverages (cider, martinis, beer/winw) and a good assortment of food. Definitely elevated usual pub fare. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is mountain casual with interesting artifacts[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service warm and friendly and we never had to wonder if someone would be by to offer another round. We dined in French onion soup and salad, Cuban Sammy, lamb French dip and a burger. Everyone in the group was impressed and left with happy bellies.

My service experience at the Gold Pan began when I sat down in the front cafe at the only table available. Then I waited. And Waited. And then I began to bus the table. I began pouring water from used glasses into the dog bowl. Then I waited. Then I fed my dog a couple of fries from used plates. Then I waited. I stacked up the empty glassware and waited. More fries fed to dog. Then I stacked plates. More waiting. Finally someone realized the restaurant had outdoor seating, whisking away the used plates then wondering what I'd like. Management responded: "we cannot read your mind. You need to keep us informed." Seriously? Your staff cannot keep up with new customers vs old? Perhaps you need a manager that knows the restaurant business? They could train waiters instead of writing snarky replies? Order of stuffed jalapeños appeared right out of the grocery freezer section. What no lame reply about crappy food? I had a decent cider.

We stopped in for a beer highly recommend the happy hour menu. Ribs and goat sliders were great as were the Parmesan fries. Would go again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came in during happy hour- around 3:30, I think, and it was busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the few places open in the afternoon for happy hour and I think a local favorite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's definitely a bar atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had some drinks off HH and salads (both good- though served packed in small vessels- making them a little tough to eat) and then split the lamb french dip, while our kiddo had the chicken tenders. We were all happy about our food choices. It might be a little pricey, but I feel like everything in Breckenridge is these days. Fries are yum. Service was friendly and on top of it.

We loved the Gold Pan Saloon. Our waitress was amazing and our food order came quick. We tried a couple of their red house wines from tap. It was a perfect semi- sweet wine. They had a happy hour and we ordered a pork slider and a chicken slider. They were very good and nicely presented. For dinner, I ordered the Cobb Salad with chicken and my wife had the Burrata and a bowl of French onion soup. When our dishes arrived, I had to double check to make sure I wasn't at a 5 star restaurant. The dishes were presented as such. The flavors of our food were just as top notch. Check out my pictures. I would totally recommend this bar restaurant for an amazing meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor isn't 5 star but reminds you of being in a saloon from the 1800's.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is actually why we went here. We love history. For us, this was the perfect mix of history and amazing food.

Cool vibe, great drinks but service just ok. Wanted to check out the oldest bar in Breckenridge so stopped in just for drinks. We enjoyed the drinks but service was mediocre.

Walking in on a cold February day, the mood and ambiance were warm and inviting. The downstairs bar was lively, and the wood ceiling and decor definitely gave off a classic aged lodge feel. We were seated upstairs per our Yelp reservations. A collection of canteens hung on the wall, which sparked a fun conversation and history lesson for my twins. Since they're part of the CamelBak and Stanley cup generation, they hadn't seen anything like them before. My son was impressed by the size of the kids' burger, and the fries were great. The rest of us had the NY Strip. I'd say it was good, but not great--though I did appreciate the blackened seasoning and the chimichurri. The grilled asparagus, however, was simply fantastic. The showstopper was the upside-down apple pie with what seemed to be homemade vanilla ice cream. Both were generous portions and kindly comped by our server for my birthday. I ordered my standard Ranch Water, though it unfortunately didn't come in their traditional canteen cup. Overall, it's a great spot. I look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Colorado.

The food came out quickly, tasted good, and the service was fast for most of our visit. The only things that stood out were that we were seated upstairs while we had a stroller with our toddler. Our server headed upstairs without asking if we needed a hand carrying it, or an elevator, which felt a little odd. It wasn't a huge deal, but a quick offer to help would have gone a long way. The only other hiccup was at the end of the meal. Everything moved quickly until we were ready to pay. we waited about 15 minutes for our check, which felt a little longer than expected. Overall, those were pretty minor issues compared to the rest of the experience. Great vibes, good food, and we'd definitely come back the next time we're in Breckenridge.

There was no chili, no pork, nothing -- just basic mac and cheese that tasted like it came straight out of a box. My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing. Definitely not an experience I'd repeat don't waste your money here.

This time I ordered the Schmidt Mac Burger with Parmesan Fries, while my wife had the Wagyu Reuben with a side salad. Every bite was delicious. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. After our meals were delivered, our server rarely checked back. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, and our water glasses sat empty long enough that we finally had to ask another server for refills. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn't the level of service you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One thing to know before you go--the prices are on the higher side. My burger and Parmesan fries were around $33, so this isn't your average burger joint. That said, the quality of the food helps justify the price. Overall, the kitchen absolutely delivers, and that's why we'll be back.
