He took a part with him and never gave it back so i couldnt resell the item after saying he would order the part (said it wasnt avail) it was a strange ordeal. My 2nd expeirience with Absolute Appliances Repair hasnt been as good. The man visited my house on a Thursday to confirm that what I told him was broken on my washer was actually what was needed. Once he confirmed he stated that he needed to order the part. I asked him when he thinks it would come and he stated Saturday but, he works 7 days a week so he'll come repair the washer as soon as he gets the part. I texted him on the following Monday to see if he got the part. No response. I texted on Tuesday. No response. I texted on Wednesday. No response. I contacted the home warranty service though which he was assigned and they stated that the part was delivered that Tuesday. I texted him on Wednesday. No response. Its now Midday Thursday and I havent heard a single thing from him. I can write the very same review that Keala E. did on 8/22/23. Nasser promised a service call on the next day and he showed up right on time. It was a simple fix to my washer's lid control cutoff switch. The part would take several days to arrive but he wired a bypass so I could use it in the meantime. I must admit that I was concerned that my first two calls to Absolute were not able to get through because "the voicemail box is full". But I was able to get through on my 3rd try. I was serviced by this company through my home warranty for my leaky dishwasher. The repairman, Naser, came out to check out my dishwasher and spent more time talking about his problems than looking at the dishwasher. He started a load to see the leak and, since it didn't start immediately, left a note that promised a 6 month warranty and said to call with proof of the leak and he'll come back out to service the dishwasher. I've called several times, left several messages, and texted. At one point I confirmed a rescheduled visit and Naser ghosted me on the day of the appointment. All my calls since then get screened. Same tech came out and could not figure out the issue so instead he closed out the case and told our home warranty company that no repair was needed and we are now being redirected to another technician for a second opinion. On 8/11... I contactED Sears Home Warranty/Cinch Services. about my washing machine was not spinning the water out of the washer. I was tranferred to Absolute Appliances Repair and spoke with Mr Neseer. He stated that he would be out to look at my washer between 10:30am - 12 the next day (Thursday). Mr Neseer showed up at early about 10:15am. He came into my laundry room, I went to my back door to answer it. When I came back Mr Neseer was standing in the room just looking at the wash like he did not know what to do. I informed him the belt is broken on the washer as we could smell it burning when it broke the day before. Mr Neseer, finally knelt on the floor and took of the panel to the motor area. I walk away for a minute and came back. When I returned Mr Neseer stated that my washer is old and he will not be able to get the part(belt). He stated that he would put in with warranty company for me to get a replacement. I informed him that I did NOT want a replacement machine, I just wanted my washer fixed. He then stated that the pulley was also broken. I got very upset with him and he left and stated that he will call me back, after he contact the warranty company. Later in the day he called me back and stated that he was ordering the part for my washing machine and will take 2 days to receive it. So, the part will come in on Saturday and he will call, when it received. Problem I was leaving on Friday for a paid vacation trip. But, I son would be at home, when the part comes in. He said ok . So, on Saturday, I waited all day to hear from Mr Neseer, I finally called him and he stated that the parts has not come yet, he woud call me. Well, on Sunday, 8/14 - a repair person from Absolute Appliance repair called me and left a msg on my cell, stating the the part was in and he could come out on Monday (8/15) and make the repair. I called the person back and informed him that my son would be home to let him in. 8/15 - Monday, the repair person was Mr Neseer son, did get his name, but he came out to do the repair. Well, he informed my son that he could not fix the washer, that he couldn't get the belt on and he left. I received call from the warranty company they left a msg for call back. I called them back to discuss my washer and I thought they was going to replace my washer, but the was not the case. The rep on the phone informed me that my claim has been denied.... I asked why, she stated that it was reported that there was rust on my motor and that would had to have happen before my warranty contact was in effect. I informed the rep that there is no rust on my motor or my washer anywhere. The rep stated that there as nothing they could do. I asked her who report that there was rust on the washer and she would not answer me. I have picture of my motor, with NO rust. I will try to load them into this complaint. Horrific Experience with Refrigerator Repair through Sears Home Warranty/Cinch Home Services. Misdiagnosed the problem and lost all of the food in the refrigerator. When I called back to have the "repair" looked at and fixed again, the voice mailbox was full, and so I called the other number and left a voicemail. How is this company still in business? First off their website on their invoice does not exist and the email has at least 2 typos, so I'm not sure if they will even get it. The phone number here isn't even accurate. It's actually 301-919-7681, if you need a real phone number for your service issues. But good luck. I was scheduled their service on 7/4/23 through Sears Home Warranty. He showed up at 8am on the dot, which I wasn't sure he would being a holiday and calling and texting on 7/3/23 to confirm, with no response. He diagnosed a nonrepairable refrigerator that day. He said he would put in on 7/5/23 to send a check. I was very confident when he left, as this was the 4th tech Sears/Cinch sent out to diagnose a nonrepairable appliance. However, while he did put in that it was seals with Sears, it wasn't enough information for Sears to move forward. I have called and texted AAR multiple times, as has Sears. But he refuses to respond. I am now over a month in of calling Sears, calling AAR with no resolution. I was able to get ahold of him one time. He said he had never come to my house; and he was very adamant about this. Then when I gave details about myself, my house, my situation, he remembered then responded by blaming Sears, saying he'd put something in the computer and then hung up on me. Very unprofessional. I have resorted to contacting the Maryland Attorney General's office at this point. Though if they have a 1.5 star review dating back to 2018, they obviously don't care and won't change. read more

Excellent experience with an oven repair call. I coordinated through Cinch, they passed me the phone number for Absolute Appliances Repair. I got in touch with them within 24 hours and arranged a convenient time for the technician to come out and help us. He called the day of and was actually able to arrive sooner than the estimated window, which worked out even better! Once he arrived, he was very professional, very focused on figuring out the cause of our oven issue. He figured it out and was able to resolve it very quickly. Claims their "system was down" and that even though my wife called to provide them her contact information they later claimed that she never contacted them (she called them in front of me), and then when I asked why they didn't write down her information when their system was down, was told they "don't use pen and paper" to write down relevant information. Then they told me they could accommodate me and send the technician out. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! My Samsung dishwasher started throwing an error code 2 weeks after the warranty expired. I have a Home Warranty with a $100 deductible. I didn't know the extent of the problem, so instead of getting into deep repair costs, I filed a warranty claim. They provided me a case number and directed me to Absolute Appliances Repair. I schedule an appointment and the technician comes to my house. A seemingly friendly guy, he tells me that the error code I am receiving is due to grime in the drainage pipe that may also be on the drainage sensor. The best and easiest repair for this is to put baking soda and vinegar in it, let it drain through and clean everything, and then run a load. I was out of vinegar at the house and he said he "forgot to pick some up." I tell him that I would still like him to stay and watch the machine go through its cycle until it hits the error to make sure that what he thinks is, in fact, the problem. I stays and tells me this fabricated version of his life story and how he owns the business and that there was one other person in it with him, but that person left so its just him now. I nice story about a man starting his own small business. After 25 minutes of the machine running, but not long enough to get to the error code, he says he has to leave for another call. I tell him its not done yet but he refuses to stay. I have to write him a check for $60 for the service call out of my deductible!! He says if it happens after I do the baking soda / vinegar to call him back. It throws the error, my wife brings me some vinegar home, and I follow his instructions. Five minutes into the cycle and it still doesn't work. I call several times, leave several voicemails, and several texts with no response. I have to get the warranty company involved to even get a response, which was that he ordered the part (without even taking one screw out to make sure that was the problem). I try to contact via the website and it is a website for ONLINE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS!! Seriously, WTF. It takes three weeks to get the part and get an appointment. The day before my appointment, I get a call from the company. They tell me that there has been an emergency service and that they couldn't make it to the appointment time I had scheduled. I scheduled another appointment for later the same day. That time comes and goes and no repairman. I call and complain and they told me they have no appointment for me. I explain it was a reschedule and he says he needs to call me back. Ten minutes later I get a call and am told that the technician was double booked and he was in the next state over. I get an appointment for the following day. He shows up to my house with the part (Finally!). He starts to work on the machine and, in front of my wife, takes his phone out and looks up a How To Repair Video on YouTube!! He watches that, follows the directions, and starts changing the part. It doesn't want to go in properly, so he has my wife come and hold the part for him. It still didn't work and MY WIFE had to point out he was missing the washer. He finishes the install and pushes it part way in. The machine starts running and, once again, he has to leave and doesn't stay for the whole cycle. Not only that, he only part way puts the dishwasher back under the counter and he put the side panel on crooked. So, after two visits, a month without a dishwasher, and $60 later, I have a stranger in my house watching a youtube video and installing a $30 part. And he couldn't even do that without our help. This is something I could have easily done myself, but thought it best left to a "professional." I won't be making that mistake again. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! My Kenmore dishwasher stopped drying my dishes so my I purchased a home warranty. A repair man came out and looked at the dishwasher and told me it was the control panel, the next day which was a Saturday another repair man came out at 9:00 am in the morning and looked at the machine again and told me it was the heating element and that they would ordered the part. A week later I received a call from the repairman to come out and repair the machine. The appointment was for 7:00 pm on a Friday evening they never showed up or called. I called the following Monday morning and rescheduled the appointment for Tuesday between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and again they never showed up. Unfortunately, I paid the $60 deductible and still don't have my machine repaired. Oh! Let me mentioned that I called Sears the company that I have my home warranty through and was told that the repair man sent in a report that the machine had already been fixed. And, worse yet Sears was not helpful at all with trying to provide me another provider without having to pay the $60 deductible again. This is a total nightmare. Very unprofessional. The technician told me to defrost my refrigerator overnight - twice - and then didn't show up to fix it. I had to track him down both days. My dishwasher required only one small part to ensure that the soap drawer opened, and was turning on and filling with water - not only was the dishwasher not fixed, but it no longer turned on, that is, I believe the technician made the problem far worse (broke it). Plus I had to wait all morning/afternoon for tech. to arrive, only to have him cancel - that is, AFTER I called him. Incompetent might be the nicest thing I have to say about this "company." Appears they only work on behalf of home warranty which is sign number one you shouldn't use them. They came to repair an ice dispenser on our GE refrigerator on behalf of the seller of the home we were purchasing. The tech suggestion was to defrost the freezer for 12 hours because the ice dispenser was frozen. Mind you this appliance is no more than 10 years old...every freezer made since 1980 has been self defrosting and therefore no longer requires defrosting. A week after the repair, we move into the house and the water dispenser is frozen up and frost has formed yet again. A quick observation noted the gasket in the dispenser was clearly not sealing correctly and was in need of replacement. A quick google search for the part number found the replacement part available at multiple online store fronts. The repair took less than 2 minutes to perform. I'm not an appliance repair person, I had no knowledge of how the dispenser operates, and yet after a 30 second observation and a 2 minute repair, I was able to fix the issue myself. This company clearly operates to take the base charge from the home warranty and then not perform any real services. A complete scam. read more

This is THE WORST experience we have EVER had with ANY company. These people lie, no-show, do not answer phone calls or texts....we are beyond frustrated and disgusted with them. HMS sent them out to repair our dryer. Over 2 months later and they FINALLY come back (I won't bother going through all the no shows, unanswered texts, etc) and finally tell us our dryer is not able to be fixed and that they will submit papers to HMS so they can approve a new dryer...well, three weeks later and many more texts, calls, and even getting hold of them and them promising to send out the papers to HMS -and it's still not done. We have gone back and forth with HMS about this company as well. They have FINALLY agreed that they are going to start the ball rolling to remove them from their list of repair companies...now, we have to get a DIFFERENT company to come out and confirm that our dryer can't be fixed, so HMS can finally approve a new dryer. We started this process Aug. 21, 2018, and as of today, Oct. 24, 2018, we are still waiting. Lesson learned...research any company your insurance sends out BEFORE you give them your deductible check! Called them about my gas dryer not heating anymore. Said they charge a $40.00 to look the part up. They came over the next day, seemed very knowledgeable about the repair and was out in 20 minutes with the repair completed. The technician never did a function test to see if it was working. He put the dryer back together and after a little banging and hammering, claimed it was done and left. Went down to do the laundry to find that he didn't put the drum back in correctly and now the dryer sounds like a freight train grinding over bad track. It heats great, but can't do laundry without the obnoxious noise. Called them to find out what the deal is, and he said "text me your information and I'll be right over first thing in the morning to fix it." Did that, next morning he's a no call no show. Called again, claims he was tied up and to send him my information again. Did so, yet again a no call, no show. Wasn't until after dealing with this that I saw their insanely low rating on Yelp. These guys are a joke of a company. With all the other repair centers out there, why they chose to operate like this is infuriating. My review mirrors all of the other reviews. This company was contracted out from Sears Home Warranty -- also a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE warranty company. They also go by A-1 Repairs Appliance Service, and I am sure other names. I stayed at home on a Saturday for over 8 hours (and missed being able to attend a fun fair at my daughter's school) because I had already been waiting over 5 weeks for them to return back with the parts. I called them repeatedly throughout the day to be sure they were going to turn up, and was consistently assured they would by the guy who seems to always answer the phone, Stephen. I believe he lied to me repeatedly and had no intention of ever coming to my house, because they stopped answering the phone 6 hours after my allotted appointment AND never turned up in the end. The technician also broke a special order bulb when he did the initial "diagnosis" - he genuinely appeared not to have a clue what he was doing. I paid $100 for the "diagnosis," lost a brand new special order $40 light bulb, and an entire Saturday and still have a broken fridge and exhaust hood. I will be printing out all the horrible reviews under their multiple names (undoubtedly to hide the horrible service they provide) and send them to Sears so that they no longer contract with them. read more
