Mohamed offered a same-day inspection, quickly diagnosed the problem, and scheduled a follow-up once he had the parts. With parts in hand, he quickly remedied the issue, explaining the cause and the fix in full. He was very transparent about his pricing and was graciously flexible on the up-front vs. total cost split. A few days later, we actually encountered another issue with the washer (not his fault) and he came out quickly and remedied the new issue as well, and we're all up and running again! If there were a 6-Star option, I would give Quality DC Appliance that level of quality and professionalism. It's been hot & my central air just stopped working. Quality DC sent Ben over and he found the problem right away. In 1 day, he got me the part and fixed it. And this was no small job. I have an older central air unit with the AC on the roof and the fan in my crawl space. He got in the crawl space and figured it out. Almost more importantly he explained exactly what was wrong. I had water in the pan... why? The fan died. So my unit was freezing the dead fan & when it thawed, the water would fill the pan, set off the sensor and kill the power. Also, my unit is old. I bought the house 7 years ago and the AC was already there. I know the last owner. He didn't install it either. Ben got the right motor in 1 day. The price was perfect. I googled the motor price and he charged me the bottom dollar. I even had him over to flush the coil 2-days later. We (foolishly - never again!) bought a Samsung washer and dryer and whether it's a heating element or something smaller like getting the kinks out of the dryer vent, Mohamed has always done it quickly, efficiently, and at a fair price. The true quality of a company is revealed when something goes wrong. And in this case it did and the results were bad. I hired the company to repair my washer. Diagnosis visit was great. Not so good after that. First repair appointment was cancelled during my scheduled appointment window because the part wasn't in yet. Second repair appointment, Mohamed showed up for the repair only to realize he had picked up the wrong part. The worst part was how he handled it. He said he had to drive back to Alexandria to get the right part. I had another contractor appointment at another property and told him my schedule was very challenging. He immediately became angry and literally started yelling at me. Said he was very busy too and this was messing up his whole schedule, exclaiming that it wasn't his fault. I was hoping to discuss our schedules to figure something out but he was losing it. I was trying to figure out what to do and he was yelling, "decide! decide!". Overwhelmed, I decided I would tell him go get it and come back and I'd try to figure out a solution in the meantime. After he left, I messaged the company and asked that they send another tech. They didn't have another tech. They refused to answer the phone and were not apologetic. Fortunately I was able to get my husband to come home from work and be there. At this point I was very upset and didn't ever want to see that man again. When Mohamed returned he fixed the dryer and apologized to my husband, but not to me, even though he was still texting me. Said he was really stressed. A little over a month later the part failed. It made me sick that we had to go back to the same company. They again said they didn't have another tech so again I had my husband be there for the appointment. I realized that likely there is only one Mohamed and the owner and tech are the same person. In spite of everything that had happened - the canceled appointment during the appointment time, showing up with the wrong part and yelling at me for it - he charged us $79 trip charge to replace the failed part. Said his labor warranty was 30 days. Here he had an opportunity to do something to compensate for his previous behavior and last minute cancellations, but he chose not to. I will never use this company again and do not recommend at all. So many good reviews but when things go wrong, beware. read more

Had a drainage issue with my Bosch dryer. Mohamed quickly diagnosed and it and did some troubleshooting. He explained what he was doing and what the next step would be if he couldn't clear the drain. Luckily he was able to clear the pump and we're back in business. read more

DO NO USE. I contacted Mohamed about fixing my gas oven which was temperamental and would switch itself off due to a blown spark control board. After coming to look at the oven and telling me which parts to order off eBay, he came back two weeks later and decided he did not want to do the repair we agreed upon because he would hurt his back?? Mind you this is after he had already pulled my oven out from the wall. He actually broke two of my burners in the process, literally drilled through the screws, so now half of my burners don't work! He also left two random screws out from somewhere, I have no idea where they're supposed to go. He simply told me find someone else to fix it. I was very happy with this service. They were responsive and able to come out quickly when I requested help, and the technician Amen got me all the information I needed to get a new part under warranty from the dishwasher manufacturer and then replaced it very quickly. The cost of the diagnostic visit was deducted from the repair price, so it was essentially a free first visit if I hired them to do the full repair. You can't get better service than this. My refrigerator stopped cooling and we had to throw out everything. I requested service on Monday night (really late after 10pm, thanks to Mohamed) and Walid was at my door the next day at noon. My A/C stopped working on one of the dreadfully hot days this summer. Quality DC Appliance Repair promptly reached me after I requested their assistance. I didn't expect them to be able to send someone out right away, but they did. Not only that, but Ben kindly called me to give me an ETA and then to give me an update when he hit some traffic. He was highly professional and knowledgeable, pinpointed the issue quickly, and then explained the problem inside my A/C unit in the backyard. He discussed my options and even suggested how I can keep this from happening again next summer. He fixed the unit quickly and even waited a few extra minutes to make certain the air coming out of the vents was in the proper temperature range. We returned on Sunday from two weeks away to the furnace leaking and overflowing the drain pan. We quickly cleaned up the mess but needed help to figure out what happened. Dishonest and rude. Told me that my dryer needed all 4 rollers replaced which would cost $350+. The dryer is less than 2 years old and the rollers are in perfect condition. I asked him to show me where the rollers were damaged or worn...he made a snide remark assuming I didn't know what I was talking about. If a technician can't clearly show you why/where something needs to be fixed, that's a red flag. I asked him to leave immediately. Of course, the issue was simply that the blower needed to be cleaned which cost me $0 to fix, and I put the entire dryer back together myself. read more

Responded on the app quickly, accepted the job...but did not actually send 2 technicians to move a heavy dryer (I stated clearly in my post that 2 people were needed for this job). One technician arrived, could not move the dryer to do the simple reconnection of the vent. He said he would talk to his partner and text me when they would return to move it and reconnect the vent. We made sure he had my number in his phone. I waited the next day and most of the second before I reached out...the next morning I received a message stating they could not do the repair! They did not charge me, at least. But it was a simple reconnection, they were told 2 people were required up front, they accepted the job and then would not complete it....thus delaying a needed repair. Edit: The response from the owner here is an attempt to mislead about what happened. Wow. To his response: I hired your company and only your company. I did not hire another until you stated you would be unable to complete the job I hired you to do. Then, I had to post again to hire a second company, who came -that- day and completed the task with Two men. I don't think two men count as any "special equipment". I was honest in my review and factual. If you are referring to the person who told me I needed two people...that was my electrician. He was not hired to repair the dryer vent. He was hired to repair the electrical outlets and just happened to be there when I discovered the vent was likely disconnected and gave his opinion about hiring someone to fix it. Thus why I told you 2 people were needed....but you sent 1. One is not what I said was needed. You are "being blamed" for not completing a job you said you would and failing to send 2 technicians that I knew were clearly needed. Nothing more or less.
