The only speedy thing about Speedy Appliance was their invoice. In May 2019, I called speedy appliance about my ice maker not working and leaking. They came out on 5/22 and charged me $95. They told me that a part was needed and would need to be ordered. We paid the $95 and were told that the part was ordered. We then heard NOTHING back. We called back and were told that it was on back order. After calling today, August 29th, I was told they never even ordered the part. I am just now learning this 3 months after their visit. In addition, if they ordered it now, it wouldn't be available until late September/October. Not only were they completely unresponsive, but unapologetic for not completing the work . I will never use them again - they are not a reputable company that cares about their customers. read more

The technician arrived, and not only failed to fix the issue, but made things worse--he took a critical internal part of the dryer with him, making it completely inoperable. He knowingly asked if the dryer was working prior to his arrival, fully aware that it wouldn't work after he left. When I discovered this, I called the co-owner, who admitted the part was broken and had been taken by the tech--but offered no help beyond telling me to go to a laundromat. When I asked if they'd reimburse me, I was told "it's not our problem," and that the issue was between me and the technician (whom I wasn't even allowed to contact). When we went to the store, the co-owner became defensive and asked her to leave. Bottom line: maliciously dishonest, zero accountability, and horrendous customer service. Avoid this business at all costs

On two separate occasions, I was given a four-hour service window and received messages during that window indicating that a technician was on the way. However, no technician arrived. When I called for an update, I was informed that the appointment had been moved to the following day. This happened twice, without any advance notice before I reached out. I understand that delays and scheduling changes can occur, but it's disappointing to set aside several hours waiting for a service call only to learn afterward that the appointment has been rescheduled. Better communication and more accurate scheduling would greatly improve the customer experience.

We also talked through the pros and cons of Sebo, Miele, Dyson, and a few others he had in the shop. I never felt pressured at all. I debated between repairing the Miele or buying a new Sebo and ultimately chose a mid-range Sebo with dual HEPA filters, a bacteria filter, and a hardwood floor attachment. Gabe even included a full filter kit with 8 vacuum bags (about $95 value) in exchange for my old Miele--enough to last me nearly two years! I had researched Sebo before I came, and I think it offers strong, reliable quality and made in Germany design and parts. With the hardwood floor attachment, the price was a good value as well since the store offered an extended 10 year warranty. Gabe is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, funny, and genuinely kind. It's rare to find service like this anymore. I highly recommend bringing your broken vacuum or sewing machine here--you'll be in excellent hands.

Take note - they are not an authorized service/repair center for Miele, they do not sell Miele vacuums or parts/accessories and they do not tell you that unless you ask; instead, they sell you grossly overpriced replacement accessories from another German manufacturer which you can find much less expensively online, even at full retail. And for that matter, you can purchase Miele products online. Be smart - read the other negative reviews and believe them...similar things happened to me and could happen to you. I wish I had read the reviews before dealing with them and learning the hard way.
