Originally, I was going to this Absolute Dental location for myself, but they no longer took my insurance. My daughter was seeing the pediatric dentistry side and they did not tell me that they no longer see kids until the day before my daughter's appointment and they canceled our appointment so now I have to find a new provider. Both myself and my daughter use this office for our dental care and so far it has been great. I am writing this review to recognize one specific employee here. Daniele has gone above and beyond for me and I couldn't be more thankful. I had tooth pain and she quickly got me taken care of. Today I had another appointment and we went over my care plan. She went over all of my different options and thoroughly explained everything to me and what the cost would be for each option. The tech was wonderful. The front desk staff were wonderful. The dentist was so abrupt and I felt so judged. He constantly interrupted me. I felt so demeaned and looked down upon. I held it together to sign for the paperwork but I left immediately, not bothering to pick up the paperwork and referrals at the front desk. I was so shook up I cried in the parking lot for 10 minutes. I never want to go there again. I hope others have had good experiences. I don't want to risk another emotional breakdown. My last few experiences have been good. They've been working on my sons with getting spacers and stuff put in and overall it's been a good experience. They get pretty busy but the work is good and we weren't having to wait super long. They make sure kiddos aren't having experiences that leave them scared of the dentist. read more

I came to the Sparks location for my periodic visit and dental cleaning and was told that I need a filling. They asked me to sign the consent form that stated I should expect my copay to be $99 upon my next appointment for the filling. One week later when I came in for my appointment I was asked to pay $147 and I was only told this is due to my insurance's deductible. They told me they got informed the day before that the deductible should be$147. I don't know how they came to the conclusion that I should pay $99 and one week later raised by $50. And they make it sound like it's my fault not checking my benefits package. Clearly a lack of transparency and professionalism and they won't even send any email or message until you are at the front desk and they put a sticky note on the treatment plan form showing new amount due. And the fact that they casually write down my new deductible number on a piece of paper but no itemized details or any proof of communication with my insurance company seems scammy. read more

This particular location was horrible. Where to begin, first, I received a call one day before my appointment for my insurance card. Second, on the day of, I was denied service, the receptionist mentioned I didn't have dental insurance. Now remind you I waited months to be seen, so what this tells me, employees aren't doing their job. One cannot be that busy to get paperwork squared away. This was the worst visit I have had. I set an appointment for a cleaning. I came in for my cleaning appointment. And didn't get a cleaning. Instead they did X-rays and had the Dentist talk to me about my teeth. At this point I figured that I haven't been in for quite sometime and this was protocol. Still confused, I asked about the dental hygienist. And they told me they don't have one. The new person starts "Monday". (Why was I not told this when I made the appointment?) Moving forward.. I have a small chip in my tooth. The Dentist asked if I grind my teeth. This is a fair question. I told him I don't think so, but maybe. At which he cut me off at began to tell me how I'm definitely grinding. And made up a bunch of things about my teeth that have been there before I got my braces. And now I have a Invisalign retainer. I don't always wear it as I should. I attempted to explain that I haven't been wearing it as often as I should. And he continued to cut me off and proceeded to tell me I will need to wear a night guard with my retainer at night and that my teeth still grind with Invisalign. At some point I mentioned that I have sensitivity and told him about a couple other things and he completely ignored or forgot my statements. He says I have no cavity's and even proceeded to blow cold air on my chipped tooth without asking me if it was sensitive. That tooth was not sensitive. But that is not the point. After this conversation I do not trust him with my teeth... Seems like a lot of things that need to be straightened out and I won't be there for it. There was a few mistakes that I'm not exactly worried about. But my main concern was the Dentist. I assure you I treated everyone with respect. read more

My 86 year old mother made an unfortunate mistake in using the services of ABSOLUTE DENTAL in Spanish Springs Nevada (close to Reno, NV). Not only did they not fix her teeth, they demanded she pay up front. $2000.00 later, she's not received a refund and/or AD has not processed her insurance claim which pays up to 2k per year. read more

I went to Absolute dental for a evaluation and recommendations. They advised that I needed a tooth extracted and some crowns. I went to a dental surgeon and had the procedure for an implant. 4 days after the procedure I returned to Absolute dental for my crown work. While there they decided to cut the dissolvable stiches on my extracted tooth and during the impression for my temporary Crown, the mold adhered to the cut stiches and ripped them out. Oh My Gosh!!! ****DO NOT**** go to Absolute Dental!!!!! Every dentist and hygienist I've ever been to has raved about my teeth and mouth. They love them. My teeth are straight, the gums are clean, I have all my teeth, everything is perfect. there is nothing wrong anywhere in my mouth. The hygienist wish all of their patients teeth were like mine and the dentist joke they'd be out of business if they were. I went to Absolute Dental today for the first time for insurance reasons and get told I need a deep cleaning and a night guard. Neither of course are covered under this insurance and both are going to be multiple hundreds of dollars. WHAT A CROCK!!! When I go into the dentist the hygenist barely even has to scrape anything and all of a sudden I need a deep cleaning????? read more

After stating I was in major pain and needed to get in asap the person who picked up placed me on hold for ten min and then hung up on me. Second call I was scheduled three weeks later for an "emergency procedure". They then were going to schedule me for a Dr to prescribe something for the pain and stated they would be reaching out to me in 3-5 min. Hour later someone did call me and asked to respond to the text with my information. I did that and now we are going on hour 3 with no call back. So glad they could schedule me three weeks out for an emergency procedure. Customer service is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Update: Absolute Dental billed X-rays and consultation in March, right after I had them done. But due to scheduling issues (I had to cancel and move one appointment and they had to cancel and moved an appointment as well) I didn't get the cleaning until July 13th, and it wasn't processed by insurance until end of August. The insurance operates on a fiscal year which ends July 31. So I had to pay my deductible twice (once in March and once in August). I confirmed with my insurance that they covered all but $209 of the bills (roughly two deductibles, which makes sense). However, that doesn't explain a $164 bill that I had to pay. I paid in total $373, (paid the two deductibles $209 and a mystery $164 bill). I reached out to the commenter below to try and get this sorted.  Once I asked for an itemized receipt of services performed and what was billed to insurance I got ghosted. I was definitely overcharged, I can only speculate if it was intentional or not. But with the sudden stop in communication I do not think they plan to make it right in any way. read more

DO NOT EVER COME HERE. I have gotten 10 fillings here, this is the most garbage experience I have ever had. in the first year 2 of my SILVER(it's supposed to last at least 10 years) fillings have come out and now I need to get all of my fillings redone. if you're wondering "how did you filling come out?" I WAS FLOSSING MY TEETH BOTH TIMES, I was simply doing what my regular dentist told me to do in order to take care of my teeth, this is the worst dentist practice I have ever heard of. on top of the terrible suffering of having to have all my fillings taken out and redone by an actual dentist when they numbed me they wouldn't let me sit up and claimed that it works better laying down i didn't feel numb at all, they give me a second shot, I still don't feel numb and I tell them this but they continue on to do my fillings while I am in burning pain because they didn't let me sit up(as soon as I sat up after an HOUR AND A HALF of my BURNING PAIN my entire face is numb, these dentists should be stripped of their licensing, y'all must've gone to mf CLOWN DENTIST COLLEGE to get your degree because y'all do the worst job. fuck this place dawg read more

I had a bad experience here recently. I had an exam. The dentist seemed great. He commented that my teeth looked great. I've never had a cavity. He commented that my gums looked great, hardly any tarter build up, etc. Following his exam, I went to schedule the appointment for cleaning. They wanted almost $500. Shocked, I asked if this was a normal price for a basic cleaning. The lady told me not to worry because my Medicare (or Medicaid, I can't remember which one she referenced) would cover it. I told her that I don't have Medicare or Medicaid; I'm a cash patient. She seemed surprised. I got the feeling that the price she was quoting me was based on them assuming some government program would be paying for this. I told her that my kids get their teeth cleaned every 6 months, and the price is $100. She told me to go there if I think I could get that price. LOL. I sure would if they serviced adults! I told them I wouldn't be coming back. I asked them to email me my x-rays. The lady said she would, but - no surprise - never did. read more

Went back there recently for a cleaning. An actual cleaning. The dental hygienist was wonderful. The dentist is still the same weird dude.

My first visit here was not bad. The check in was fast and the staff was friendly. The cleaning and x-rays where fast and efficient. The reason they get one star is simply because the actual dental work was awful. I had two fillings done, within two weeks one of the fillings fell out. It took over a week to get a follow up appointment to fill the giant hole in the tooth. (Which was extremely sensitive and painful) When I finally got in to my appointment the dentist didn't numb me not even with a topical cream. The pain was excruciating and he kept telling me its not that bad. Not sure what "Bad" is for him but having a filling put in with no numbing or anxiety medication was BAD for me. Teared up and shaky I left. They didn't charge me for the follow up filling which is a good thing because 4 days later the same damn filling fell out. I have requested all my dental records and will be taking my business else where. (Side note They placed me on hold for over 5mins when I requested my dental records)... Still on hold 8mins later.... I would give two stars because the staff was very friendly however the first visit they had water damage due to a pipe bursting and they kept moving me room to room because none of their equipment worked. (Not their fault I know). But my second appointment they were having constructions done and there was dust and gunk in the air. And the dentist made me feel like an ignorant child who should not have used that side of my mouth ever again if I didn't want his filling to fall out. read more

I will NEVER go to an Absolute Dental again. I have attempted to visit two different locations and it has been a nightmare. The staff is curt, and they lost my x-rays while I was trying to transition to a new dentist. Prior to that, they had billed the wrong insurance over a year ago, never notified me, and then tried to charge me for $300 for "not having insurance." On top of that, it took THREE months for them to resolve the billing issue. I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service at absolute dental. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would, they were that horrible. I went in for a routine exam, with xrays in the hopes of finding out how bad 3 years of no professional dental care had been and to activate a plan to get my mouth in tip top shape. I informed the receptionist at the time I called to make my appointment and again at check-in, that I have a very bad phobia regarding dentists, and she was gracious and said that they could give me either gas or a prescription pill to help with that. I also explained I have severe TMJ so I can't sit with my mouth open for longer than 30 minutes (and that's pushing it) at a time. Again, I was reassured that I would be well cared for. I waited 15 minutes past appointment time in the waiting area and another 20 in the chair. I was disappointed that the "rooms" were essentially cubicles with little privacy to be had. I could see several people getting work done, and a few seemed to be in considerable pain. The whole practice area was cramped and felt like a cattle call. Next, the assistant actually managed to cut my mouth with the little xray film thing, and didn't even apologize. It irked me, It was very noticeable as my mouth was bleeding. Whatever, maybe she was having an off day. Then the dentist came in and spent 5 minutes looking in my mouth and told me I had 9 (!) cavities and I needed 7 (!!!!!!) teeth pulled. I am neurotic about my home dental care, I think i would have noticed if i had 7 bad teeth. Especially since I've only ever had 2 cavities my entire 25 years on earth. She then whipped out tools and said to open wide. Uh, not just no, but HELL no! I asked which teeth needed to be pulled, and she said my 4 wisdom teeth and 2 molars and one lower bicuspid. I could see the wisdom teeth, and had planned on them coming out in a future visit. But 3 more? She refused to show me evidence of these horrible teeth either on xray or with my compact mirror and her little mirror tool. She got very cranky with me when I explained my phobia and TMJ and that my expectation was for a routine exam ONLY with any work to be scheduled for another visit. She told me that I didn't need to be gassed, that she could do all extractions in 15 minutes and that I couldn't possibly have TMJ. I do, it's left over from a broken jaw on two different occasions and has been well documented. She wouldn't know that though, because she never once looked at my info. I sat up and removed my bib and told her that I would NOT be receiving any further dental care from her or any of her staff and requested all records be given to me before I walked out. It took them 30 minutes to give me copies after arguing with the dentist for another 15 minutes after I refused to let her anywhere near my teeth. She told me my teeth were severely infected and could kill me if they didn't come out now. (This with no pain or sign of infection on xray? Really?) I told her I'd sign a waiver promising not to sue if she'd just let me have my records and go. She relented and tossed her tools down and walked away saying it was my bad choice. I consulted another dentist that was a referral from a good friend's mom, who happened to be a dental assistant. After a very thorough history and exam one week later, it was found that I had NO cavities, not even in my wisdom teeth. Three appointments later, that were, by the way, nicely medicated and very gentle, I had my mouth deep cleaned and my wisdom teeth removed. After going to Absolute Dental once, several friends and coworkers told me their horror stories from this place. Infections, improper medication dosages, wrong tooth pulled, and more. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, no matter what amazing "deal" or "promotion" they have going on. Oh, their commercial saying wisdom teeth pulled for $999? Mine were done for $499. I'm a cash patient, and this wasn't a deal price, it's the everyday price. Save your money, sanity, and teeth and go somewhere else. Stay far, far, far away from ANY Absolute Dental office. read more

Then this company needs to fix their website because it's misleading. I haven't been to the dentist in about 10 years and was terrified to go. This place made me feel so comfortable! I had a root canal done and the doctor did an amazing job I felt no pain!
