The dentist and hygienist were nice and answered my questions. The office is welcoming and not at all scary. Just don't come late to your appointment after like 7-10 minutes they will reschedule your appointment and you won't be seen at your original time. Understandable so, their schedule will be pushed back to be late for the others that come after you otherwise. I would recommend making this office your new dentist home.

This period includes Dr. Thomas and recently, the transition to Dr. Vong and Dr. Avendano. Bruna has been my routine hygienist and her technical skills are brilliant, top-notch. In particular, her ability to sonically clean and to measure my receding gums with the absolute minimum of discomfort speaks to her fabulous technique. In a joking fashion, sometimes I think she's just saying the numbers because there is no sensation while probing the gum line. Additionally, I want to mention Amber and Jada who filled-in for Bruna during a recent absence and they too, demonstrated a high level of technical skill and competence. More recently, I needed updates to 6 existing fillings and had been a little reluctant to have this work completed. Dr. Avendano and his assistant Crystal were "beyond my expectations". As a team, they were fast, efficient, and treated me in a manner that ensured I was comfortable before and during the procedure. Most impressive to me was Dr. A's ability to deliver anesthesia by needle with NO sensation of a needle prick. I was aware that he was working in my mouth to prepare for the procedure and then, "poof", the area was numb. No jab, no pin prick, no burning. His technique is incredible and I remained comfortable for the entire procedure. Should you be facing some over-due dental work, or are simply in need of an excellent hygienist, I would confidently recommend the team at Vista Dental.

I am in the IT field and could not help but notice how their data that they're trying to collect from me as excessive and they seem to have lost my data either through negligence or through a hack. I am not sure.. button either case that is a lot of data to lose on a patient. I no longer trust going to this location even though I have been there for many years they seem to have gone through a transition of ownership as well, and that seems to be where everything went south. Their hygienist are fine. It's just the people that run their business in their office.

I let her know upfront that I have a severe fear of needles. Instead of focusing on how we could work around that, she repeatedly told me that I should consider therapy. She also told me that my fear of needles--and even pain--is "all in my mind" and that I need to learn to separate what's happening in my brain from what I'm feeling in my body. Hearing that once would have been one thing, but she repeated it several times. Eventually I became emotional and politely asked her to stop because the conversation itself was making my anxiety worse. At that point, she appeared visibly frustrated, ended the exam, and referred me elsewhere, saying I would be better served by a provider who could offer "safe" dental care because I was "not safe" due to my fear of needles and pain. What made this especially disappointing is that several members of my family see this dentist and have told me she is usually very patient with people who struggle with dental anxiety and fear of needles. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I can tolerate needles and painful procedures when I'm treated with patience, empathy, and respect. What I struggled with was having therapy repeatedly suggested while I was already in a vulnerable position. I came in looking for dental care, not a psychological evaluation. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the rest of the staff was kind and professional. They were apologetic when their X-ray equipment wasn't working properly, which required removing and repositioning the sensor several times. They handled that situation as well as they could. My issue wasn't with the staff--it was with how I felt dismissed and judged by the dentist. If you have dental anxiety or a fear of needles, I think it's important to know that experiences may vary significantly depending on how your concerns are addressed- and maybe the mood of the dentist. Looking at other reviews I'm not the only one who isn't impressed with her attitude towards patients.

I was lucky enough to be allowed to join this family dentistry establishment and I am very impressed. Dr Abittan is so competent, informative and professional with a truly warm nature. I was truly impressed by her attitude and welcoming me as a new patient. I also got an appointment one day later for a cleaning which amazed me I expected to wait a few weeks. The hygienist and assistant who took care of me today were so pleasant and kind and explained everything and made me feel totally part of the Evergreen Family. I highly recommend them. The…read moreoffice staff was so accommodating and easy going to make appointments for myself and my 2 girls when we all carry different insurances. This is a family run business by a dentist that actually cares and has a trustworthy bedside manner. We left our previous practice over questionable billing practices and ultimately a lack of trust in their information and care. That previous practice told me my two girls had cavities. I was kind of shocked because of their oral health and this being a first. Cut to 9 months later at this practice and both of my girls get their cleaning and x-rays and have no cavities! The issue that is extremely upsetting, but has absolutely nothing to do with this provider is that my six-year-old daughter already got a filling at the previous practice under their declaration that she had a cavity and now visiting Dr. DePaoli, I really believe that she didn't have one at all, but that is another matter and I'm just so grateful to have found somebody that's honest and personable. I live in downtown Reno and travel to Sparks for this peace of mind.

The practice is located in a small business shopping center. Bev and the front office team do a great job with check-in and out, insurance, etc., and make the process efficient and seamless. Dr.York, the hygienist, and the rest of the dental team are very pleasant and make the ordeal of a dental visit as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend it.

While his predecessor was good, Dr. York is great! Dr. York will give you all possible options and discuss all the pros and cons, allowing you to choose. Some dental offices will try to sell teeth whitening kits, etc, but not at Spanish Springs Family Dental. And this holds true for all the staff! Due to a chronic health issue and genetics, my teeth were not the best. Dr. York was able to get about 10 more years out of my natural teeth before I had to start with partials. More than once, I felt that I would have to have a tooth removed but he was able to save them, allowing me to stay with a partial instead of a full denture. The entire staff at Spanish Spring Family Dental has always made me feel valued. More than once I called with a broken tooth or a crown that popped off. They were able to get me in as quickly as they could. Thank you all!

X-rays, the exam, and cleaning were $59 as advertised on the window, which is what brought me in. I also got an additional fluoride treatment, which brought the total to $91. I had Malaika as my hygienist, and she and Dr. Van were great. I really appreciated that they were friendly without trying to ask me my life story. I don't want to yap about myself, especially when other people's hands are in my mouth, providing a service! Sparks Modern Dentistry is on Epic's electronic medical record, and I loved that I could see the images and the information on the screen. The Smile Generation branded MyChart patient portal was excellent for providing the patient care notes. At my other dentist, that part has always been a black box, because they are on a different practice management system that doesn't have a patient portal. I am considering switching here to be my main dentist!

Tjey scheduled me an emergency appointment the day after I called (new patient), did the exam, pulled the tooth and another for a very affordable price and payment plan. Credit not pushed. Pain minimal for having two teeth pulled and a bone graft. I can not say enough. This place is wonderful.
