I was a little less happy with the quality of the installation work these guys did, as time went on. I upgraded my head unit with a new Alpine while I was at "Jeep Week" in Ocean City -- and Alpine's contracted installers really didn't like the way the amp wiring had been done. They wound up redoing a lot of it to clean it up and make connections more solid than they were. They asked me who did the wiring job, and when I said it was Absolute Electronics - the guy just groaned and said "had some problems with their work before". I would have just written that off as competitors disliking each other -- but he showed me where wires were run in less than optimal places under the carpet, etc. read more

I am no audiophile by any means, but I have been to over a dozen music festivals within the last two years, so I would like to think that I know a thing or two about sound quality. First things first, I cannot stress that Absolute Electronix has phenomenal service. The team at Absolute Electronix is exceptional in making sure the customer is driving out overjoyed. I went in knowing that prolonged exposure to my archaic speakers would surely drive me to the brink of insanity. Knowing this, Atta was incredibly patient and there to provide a solution. I went in there listening to my eclectic supply of music for easily over a hour, trying to hone in on the intricacies that each speaker would produce. Eventually, after deliberating I decided on a brand known as AudioFrogs. Before I took the plunge to swap out the speakers in my vehicle, I was taught a valuable lesson, the receiver is a crucial component in how sound is well "received", so for the sound truly to reach an optimal level, It was wise to swap out the receiver as well. Once that process was complete, the sound of my car reached a new zenith, but yet something was missing. Another customer of Absolute Electronix welcomed me into his vehicle to discern what that was.... It was the low frequencies that speakers alone could not produce. Knowing that I went all in... Taking the plunge and asking the team to install a amplifier in addition to a subwoofer. Words cannot begin to describe the audio in my vehicle today... Night and day? No that's an understatement, regardless being speechless I guess is a sign of amazing work. The team converted my car to be a moving concert. First, let me say that they are nice people but their business could have some major improvements. I had a subwoofer and amp installed. My first visit, I scheduled an appointment for the week after and put down a deposit with a list of the items that I am purchasing. On my second visit, the installation was completed, but on my way home, I received a call saying that we owe you $53. I thought "Great! I'm saving money". Not really. Apparently, they didn't have the amp I asked for and installed a much weaker amp. When me and the employee were searching up items and he added them to my shopping cart on my first visit, I had assumed that it would be in stock and be reserved for my appointment. Otherwise, the items should not be allowed to be added to the cart. It's clear that they don't have an inventory management system set in place. They didn't tell me this during my first visit and didn't tell me until after the installation was completed on my second visit. I would've never paid if it wasn't the items I wanted. I don't understand why they didn't tell me they didn't have the amp instead of going forward with the installation with a much weaker amp without my consent. It took 4 hours for the install to be completed and I wasn't going to waste anymore time in my day to get everything removed. The bass quality in my car increased by only 20% which is marginal compared to what I expected it to be. They also screwed in the amp under the driver's seat with the controls facing inwards, so unless I take out my driver's seat or unscrew the mounted amp, there's no easy way that I can access the amp's settings. The price I paid was outrageous for average work at best, and even with all my inconveniences, they still wouldn't upgrade my amp to the one I wanted as a courtesy for my troubles. They may have great ratings and reviews, but MY overall experience puts them at a 1 star for me. *** RESPONDING TO BUSINESS OWNER'S 7/19/18 COMMENT BELOW *** I appreciate the response. To go over the points you talked about: I was only inquiring about a refund. What I requested was a free upgrade for the amp that you and I agreed upon on the first visit. Your staff didn't call me saying that they were giving me a different amp until after it was installed and that's my main issue. Why would it be okay for your team to give me something that was different than what we originally talked about without my consent? That's like me requesting to purchase a PS2, but giving me a PS1 instead. You tried to make that excuse that you were on vacation while this was happening, but all that shows is bad management and communication on your part. I understand that your technicians tune the amp to its best settings. I don't deny that. I just wanted to look at the settings myself. It's like playing a new video game, but not being allowed to change the settings. If your technicians simply rotated the amp to face outwards instead of into the driver's seat, this would have been easily solved. The whole installation costed me $800+ for a subpar amp and subwoofer. I was simply asking for a free upgrade to the amp that we talked about to compensate for my troubles. You would have only lost out on $53, but would've gained a lifelong customer as well as my recommendation to all my friends who were also looking for car audio upgrades. read more

After some time I tried to contact the owner and was told that he knows nothing of me paying for the alarm system. They were honest about the challenges with my vehicle and what it would take to complete my requests. Cool place! Was having trouble with my SiriusXM connection and another installer could not fix the issue so I found these guys via Google and noticed the good reviews. I knocked one star off for two reasons: wait time and the diagnostic fee. I'm not sure that these guys do appointments, you just walk in and wait until it's done. I arrived at 2PM but the car wouldn't be done until around 5:30-6PM due to others before me so you might want to ask a friend to be on standby to pick you up if there's a timely wait. For them to even look in your car is a $60 diagnostic fee. Sticker shock! I thought the price was a little high but I don't have a lot of experience in these shops and maybe this is a common practice. Anyway, you get what you pay for and I was satisfied with the work and they were pretty accommodating. PROTIP: the young Asian male installer is an awesome, talented dude. Absolute Electronic are absolute pros. We had them replace the stock car stereo in our Toyota with a touchscreen CarPlay compatible unit. Everything came out perfectly. The fit and finish of the install was amazing, including a custom install plate.
