Seriously The worst plumbing service I have ever experienced. Said that my water pressure was at 95 but stupidly left the pressure gauge on the faucet. It actually read 45. Do you think they wanted extra business at my expense? Damn right they did. I would never use them again. read more

Gerald is great. My water heater died a few months after it went off of warranty and it turns out that it's not a very common model here in Colorado. He stopped by right away and discovered the issue and then worked with me for over an hour trying to track down the needed part in Colorado. Unfortunately it had to be shipped from the East Coast (and I had family arriving the next day). I was able to finally get the part delivered and installed myself but he was very helpful and sympathetic and worked really hard to help me try to resolve it without getting a dime from me. It's great to know a good plumber and I'm glad that I met Gerald because now I have one. read more

Gerald is my guy! He called me the same day I made my initial phone call to him and continued to communicate with me in an honest and timely manner throughout the repair. He advised me on where to buy a new kitchen faucet and talked me through the repair. He was polite and worked quickly and efficiently with his employee, John. This review is long overdue but as we're looking to complete the 2nd phase of our outdoor renovation I'm reminded of how great a find Gerald was for us. We were looking to install a gas line from the main to where we are installing a new fire pit and found APS on Yelp. Gerald answered the call & was able to quickly come out to take a look at our project the same day because he lived just around the corner from us! He didn't try to up sell us on anything or charge an arm & a leg for the job. His price was fair & he was able to complete the job with 1 of his workers within the same week! They did a phenomenal job & was very transparent with the work they had done. He even found my pocket knife buried in the backyard and put it on my back porch with a note letting me know they found it which I thought was the sweetest! Usually when workmen come to my home I get one of two types: The one who glosses over things, glancing over my shoulder waiting for the man to show up; or the slick talker who thinks I will believe anything, since I know nothing. In a word: disrespectful. During the process of collecting estimates for my 2nd bathroom install I experienced both and more. All of them were eliminated long before their 5 to 7 thousand dollar quotes. Though the highest one offered me a senior discount. Sounds great, but giving a 47 year old womon a senior discount stings like a slap in the face! (As if the quote weren't painful enough) I tried Brothers, since I had a good experience with them before, but they wanted $75 just for the estimate. So much for loyalty. Finally, thanks to a referral from Black River Construction, I am introduced to Master plumber Gerald at Absolute Plumbing Solutions. He listened to what I wanted, told me what I needed, assessed the situation, and quoted me a price well below the lowest quote also throwing in the tub. His reputation is so stellar, when the inspector came and saw how nervous I was, he assured me everything was probably perfect because he knew how good Gerald's work was. Indeed from rough-in to final all his work was impeccable. Being a DIYer I was eager to do something, so when he returned to install the fixtures he was more than willing to let me assist, and patiently answered all of my questions, explaining every step of what he was doing. If I was getting on his nerves he never let on. Months later my kitchen sink backed up, and though I had disassembled everything I still couldn't find the cause. I called Gerald late that morning and he arrived before noon. Of course one thing led to another, as plumbing does, but before the day was out my kitchen AND bathroom sink were better than before. When I asked him about my clogged laundry sink he assured me it was something I could repair myself. He told me what I would need, and how to do it, adding he would help me over the phone if I had questions, or would come out and fix it for me if I decided to give up. Pretty cool, huh? I will hire him to update the plumbing in my parents house, and he is more than willing to work out a rather pain-free price estimate. He has great integrity, is extremely skilled, and is very thorough. I trust his work and his word without question. His easy-going manner makes him quite approachable, and a pleasure to deal with. We are lovers of local business and appreciate craftsmanship and honesty. Not wanting to support a big company, we turned to yelp on this one and we hit gold; Gerald. Gerald was timely and is just the kind of plumber you want to service your home for life. He did not try to up-sell any unnecessary service and true to his word when the gas line did't take him as long as he anticipated, he charged us less; a great deal taboot! I hate to have my very first Yelp review be poor, but we tried three times in the span of five days to reach anybody at this company. All we were greeted with each time we tried was voice mail (Gerald's) and, to our knowledge, never received a return call. We REALLY wanted to speak with him based on reviews here, because we have a bit of an issue and we need somebody very good to address it, but five days of no response is too much. We realize he is a single individual, and not a large, multi-employee plumbing business (something we're trying to move away from, actually), and that he may have personal issues that might be occupying him (apologies if that turns out to be the case). Still, he is an advertised business, and we do not think it unreasonable to expect a certain level of presence when customers call. Sorry, Gerald. We were looking forward to speaking with you, and it would have been great to do business with somebody who is literally minutes away from us, but I guess we have to move on. read more

Gerald is awesome! He went out of his way to come over within an hour or so of us calling regarding our leaking shower pipe. He tightened a few things and showed us what we could replace on our own to help the drainage in our old pipes - and didn't charge us anything! He also walked us through how to do a couple of other small plumbing projects around the house. He very easily could have charged us hundreds of dollars, but instead he explained how to do each project and what parts to get and offered to come back and check our work if we ran into any problems.
