I saw a great review on Abuelita's Kitchen on social media, and since I was in a location with easy access to the restaurant, I decided to visit. Street taco was $4 each and I decided to get three kinds - pork belly, tilapia, and shrimp. I usually prefer seafood tacos so I didn't think much of the pork belly, but it turns out to be the best tasting taco. The taco was overflowing with pork pieces that it fell out of the other side when I bit into the taco. It was the best taco I had in a long time. Tilapia taco was a little blander than I wanted, but I still enjoyed how they crisped up the edges of the fish. Shrimp taco was also pretty good but the pork belly taco blew everything else out of water. I got very excited about their taco. 100% recommend.

Came in during lunchtime. FYI, there's a lot of parking nearby, but it's paid for the most part. Staff were super friendly. A lot of indoor seating. Service was super fast and I got my food right away. Food was very flavorful and I really enjoyed the salsa bar. I would totally come back.

Best Mexican food in the Northwest! Been coming here almost every week for 3+ years and the flavor blows my mind every time. Favorite place to show off to friends that visit.

Went back again for dinner the other day!! Carne asada was amazing and the cucumber margarita was so refreshing. The guac was something you have to get -- Will be back!!

Best mushroom tacos I've ever had!!! I'm vegetarian, so have tried all kinda of veggie tacos. The hongo (mushroom) tacos here were so good. They came out steaming hot, with big meaty chunks of mushroom. The corn tortillas tasted freshly made. They also have a nice salsa bar. Everything was so fresh. This place is awesome! I'll definitely be back. Super nice people too.

Really really good Mexican food in Greenwood! The best I've had in Seattle for sure. The salsa bar was amaaaaaazing, with 8 salsas available! Two of them were so good that we refilled our little cups. Definitely get the chips so you can try all the salsas. The flavors are authentic and the portions are huge! Prepared to be full. The veggie chile relleno was big and well-cooked, but I wasn't a fan of the earthy veggies inside and the sauce wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. Dropping a star for this, but the gorditas and other dishes looked better! The staff is super kind. They sell their salsas to-go too! I'd definitely come back. The menu is a bit pricey, but it's good Mexican food in Seattle and the portions are so big that it's like two meals in one! :)

So far I've tried a couple of things: ricotta matcha cake, pecan coffee cake, biscuit sandwich ham and jam, biscuit sandwich veggie , fig bar, and many others. What stood out to me most was the coffee cake , although the biscuits can be pretty good if you get them warm (they don't heat them up, which I feel is a big miss). They prepare their own jams and there have a couple of other bakery items to go. Coffee drinks wise, I love their seasonal specials. One of the best lattes I've ever had was their current rose latte. I like to order the drinks half sweet since they're a bit too much for me, and it's a perfect balance. Definitely give this a try if you're in the area.

Did not speak to me. I waited at least 3 minutes. I chose a bottled drink and she scanned it without speaking to me or thanking me and walked away while I paid. I went again only because it was a convenient place for a work meeting. Service was marginally better, but still bad. Acting like customers are a bother rather than the reason you have a job.

got the Notorious PIG sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit while I was here…read more Starting with the sandwich, there were a ton of things to love about this The very first thing I noticed was how all-time crispy the pork belly was. Interestingly, the meat came in two separate pieces, arranges somewhat like an X or a cross in the middle of the sandwich. This certainly wasn't the eating experience of a typical sandwich with a circular meat patty, and I appreciate the creativity here. The meat was insanely crunchy, oily, and quite plentiful. Each bite felt a bit like you were biting into a crunchy churro, but without the sweetness. I did think the outside of the pork did overpower the inside, though, as I didn't taste the meat or the fat inside much, and due to the amount of breading the pieces ended up being a bit chewy The bun was quite good as well - it was pretty soft, fluffy, and served as a really good bookend to all the ingredients inside. I thought the lettuce and onions also were good. I don't know if I'm a fan of the jelly on the sandwich - but again, I do like the creativity. What did shine here was the aioli, however. In a lot of places, you don't really taste the aioli on a burger - but that flavor was ever-present on this sandwich, and it was really fantastic. The absolute best part of the meal, by far, though, was the biscuit I have to start with how huge this is. This is certainly not the size of a typical Southern-style buttermilk biscuit - rather this biscuit makes no apologies in its effort to stand out from the crowd. Absolutely nobody would mistake this for a traditional biscuit - on the contrary, I think on first glance most people would assume this isn't a biscuit at all. It's shaped more like a massive pastry. I hesitate to say that looks are deceiving, because it does look great, but its taste manages to elevate past that. This was SO good. The edges are baked perfectly - they're oily, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly flaky. All four sides provide an amazing base - like the walls of a fortress that surround the soft, tender interior of the biscuit. You can see the different layers from the outside as well. When it comes to the inside, there was so much to get through but every bite was heavenly. So much credit here goes to the honey butter - which when spread onto the biscuit, raises the taste level of the entire thing. I put so much honey butter on mine that I nearly finished the whole thing. When it came to the jam, it was good, but since it didn't combine great with the honey butter I mostly ended up just using the latter This place was expensive - around 16 dollars for the sandwich and 8 for the biscuit - however, I was quite full at the end

Overall, I would come back just for the sugarkelp pita because the other dishes are quite overpriced for what you get. The sugarkelp pita, as the name suggests, is a bit sweet and has seaweed. The umami and sweetness just works perfectly and the dip of carrot shmoo and salsa macha is addictingly good. The salmon bowl is a glorified rice bowl / bibimbap-like where you can make the bowl complete by mixing everything. The salmon is quite tender and fresh, but outside of that, for $36 it is quite steep, especially since the salmon is very tiny Service is okay - there is a lack of attention with water refills spilling the table and when I paid my card, the server placed the card directly on top of some food dropped in the table... but requests are fulfilled and food comes out at a relatively fast pace.
