My son wanted a calzone, and we ended up here based on the reviews. Boy are we glad we did! The food was fantastic, and service (from the owner!) was prompt and friendly. The calzone was delicious - great sauce, soft crust, delicious cheese, plenty of pepperoni, served with a tomato sauce reminiscent of vodka sauce. My pasta carbonara was a standout! Deliciously peppery and creamy, with generous bacon chunks. My wife had the Caesar salad (not pictured), and really enjoyed it - although she said the dressing was more like a vinaigrette in flavor and texture than a classic Caesar. Service was great and inside was very cute. We ordered baked ravioli, bolognese, calamari, garlic bread, focaccia, aloha and margherita pizza's. The pastas and calamari were a hit, unfortunately the garlic bread and pizzas were not. The calamari was a good portion with the breading light and crispy. Each pasta was also a good portion with nice flavors. The garlic bread looked like the cheap french loaf garlic bread you get in your local grocery store. The margherita was a basil and cheese pizza. There was so much cheese and basil. Every bite tasted like you were eating whole basil leaves which gave it almost a perfumy flavor. There was so much cheese the dough was soggy. The owner was accommodating with customizations and the food hit the spot. We weren't drinking that day but the prices for beverages looked pretty reasonable. The cutest/authentic-feeling little neighborhood Italian spot in Greenwood! Portions are hugeee so definitely worth the price. The wine was not awesome but was only $9.50 for a glass. A cozy small family restaurant, delicious food, friendly service (thank you Peter!). It was our first time here and we all enjoyed it. I had lasagna bolognese (pictured). Generous proportions for both the lasagna and the side salad. And really delicious. My daughter and husband had a grilled warm eggplant salad that I tasted, -really yummy. Well prepared pastas and Italian entrees. Several appetizers and salads on the menu. Good sized portions that can be consumed at the restaurant without overfilling. Wine list had option for each common type of wine. Split a delicious crispy Caesar salad and best ever spaghetti Arrabiata. Tiramisu and light and fluffy stuffed cannoli. Sorry no pictures. I tried Italio last night while attending a birthday dinner. We were seated in a little outdoor turned indoor area next door to the restaurant entrance. They made this area really cute and they have blankets and space heaters along with a fireplace for the winter. It was a tad bit chilly in there but I am not blaming them since it was 17 degrees out. Probably just a hard area to keep warm, especially in the intense cold. I ordered a side caesar and the spaghetti bolognese. The caesar didn't look very dressed so I was worried about the flavor but was pleasantly surprised. The dressing was light and delicious. The one thing that would've made it better would've been freshly cracked black pepper. The spaghetti was tasty and came with two buttery pieces of garlic bread. I'd definitely order this if I have the chance to come back again. The service was phenomenal. We had a fairly large party and they were speedy and answered all our questions. This would be a cute little spot for a quiet date night or a larger party for about 10 people. They don't have many tables so be sure to inquire ahead of time if you are looking to bring a big party. read more

They also have a somewhat hidden dining room facing their back with a stone fence & plants intertwined. A gas fireplace sits between the windows. No windows on front/parking lot. Ambience indeed. Wow, what a solid and cozy Italian restaurant in Greenwood! Easy to miss, but just follow the music and you'll find yourself at the footsteps of this gem. My wife stumbled upon this place and we did not regret it. We were dumbfounded by the size of the restaurant, but we were told there's a separate seating area next door. What an adorable patio! We ordered: Focaccia bread Pizza Biancanieve Chicken Parmagiana Tiramisu The focaccia (which was home made) was a great appetizer. Paired with some sweet marinara sauce, the focaccia was light and airy! Maybe could use a tinge more salt, but it was a great start to our meal. The pizza biancanieve was solid. I was initially torn between a house-made pizza sauce and the olive oil base pizzas, since I never tasted olive oil based pizza. The owner (?) was happy to split my pizza down the middle to let me try! In my opinion, the pizza sauce was heavy and flavorful, and the olive oil was lighter but heavy on the garlic. Both were great though, and the pizza (L) was huge. Note: this isn't the best pizza I had in Seattle, but it's pretty damn good. My wife's chicken parm was amazing though. The veggies were great, the garlic bread pieces were extra garlicky, and the chicken was cooked perfectly with an amazing cheese layer on top. The spaghetti underneath was a bit watery, but the dish as a whole was a showstopper. My wife doesn't eat much, but she managed to gobble it all up. The tiramisu, also home-made, was really delicious, definitely worth a try. It's not as light as a traditional tiramisu, but it was definitely loaded with sugary goodness. Basically, if a tres leches cake and a tiramisu had a baby, it would result in this dessert. And I'm not complaining. Overall, one of the better Italian restaurants I had in Seattle. Great portions, great service, and solid food. This may not be THE BEST Italian food out there, but the rustic nature of it and the warm service has me hooked. We went here on Valentine's Day and it's a small place with seating outside. We made a reservation before hand and were seated quickly. The service is very slow we had to wait 15 minutes to get water and for someone to help us. We ordered pizza and both were not that good. They tasted stale and were not fresh at all. I was in the need of pizza last night and this place popped up. It's so hard to find good pizza in Seattle at a decent price. I tried the margarita pizza and it was decent. My order was to-go which I think sometimes takes away from pizza unless the place is 5 minutes from home. I also had a piece of chocolate cake and it was very yummy. I met a friend here for lunch this week and it was great! They have a few choices for indoor seating, and a couple tables outside as well. It was a hot day and there's no A/C, so just be prepared for that. They had a nice menu with pizzas, pastas and Grinders. I ordered the Chicken Piccata, and my friend ordered the Eggplant Parmesan. I felt like the prices were reasonable, and the way they threw everything together was very thoughtful. The Chicken Piccata came with a lot of sautéed vegetables which I really enjoyed. Piccata is my favorite dish, so I'm a bit picky about it. Their's was perfect, not too tangy, not too buttery, just right. I did not taste my friend's eggplant, but the portion was huge and she said it was really good. We both had leftovers to take home. We did not have any beverages or dessert, but the menu looked nice. I have seen some good Yelp reviews for Italio so wanted to try it. Three of us were there for a sit down meal so we were seated in the patio, a tad misleading name since in the winter it is completely enclosed with a fireplace and cozy. I think a lot of people order to go. For most of the time we were there we were the only customers in that area. Finally a couple came in as we were finishing. Service was good. However because the patio is separate from the kitchen and pick up area, our waitress only popped in every now and then to see how we were doing. We ordered several kinds of pasta dishes, a salad and a fried calamari appetizer. The calamari was very good, the chopped salad soso and the pasta dishes, putenesca, fruitti del mare and bolognese, were okay. Not at all sophisticated flavors but good enough. Large portions and the leftovers which we combined actually were delicious the next day. I think we will return to try their pizza. But Probably won't go back for more entrees. Still I do recommend you try this place. A nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

Ok why have I not been here and it's been in my neighborhood for years. Big mistake on my part cause it's delicious! I couldn't stop eating the pizza and the dough was perfectly made. So soft and baked to perfection. The inside of the restaurant has two little tables but it's tight but they have this cute covered patio and very quaint and kind of has a nice romantic vibe to it. We got one medium pizza and a salad and we were full and of course we ate it all. The drinks were reasonably priced which was nice to see. The salad was very good too so overall it was the right decision to finally check it out. The service was excellent too and I told them we would be back.
