My Son's favorite- Freshwater Eel Sushi
    Cindy T.

We call Sushi Mura our family's second kitchen because we eat here at least once a week! The sashimi is always fresh, the sushi is amazing, and the ramen never disappoints. The staff are incredibly friendly and already know my favorite; water with lemon slices every time! Our go-to dishes are the Beef Teriyaki and Angry Tails Sushi. My son is a huge fan of their eel sushi and can eat 5 orders all by himself! Consistently great food, warm service, and a place that truly feels like home. We always look forward to our next visit!

I've been here several times already and will continue coming here! Great service, great ambiance, and great food. I absolutely love the different specials they offer as they're such great deals with a perfect amount of food. My favorite one is a soup or salad, an appetizer, and any roll for $14.95! They also have one where you can get a ramen/udon and a roll for a similar price. It's honestly hard to find places that offer a really good deal whilst also offering premium quality! My favorite rolls here are the salmon lover and the Las Vegas. They're sooo fresh and full of flavor. I def recommend putting this place on your list!

Our first time here and oh my god this place is amazing! Had three sushi rolls, three sashimi pieces, ramen and their delicious tempura ice cream and everything was delicious! 1000% recommend. The staff were amazing as well, very friendly and attentive. We never run out of water and they would come and ask if we were okay constantly. Love love this place and the food! The space is nice and elegant not too small and with a good amount of booths. Will definitely be back!

Probably our new favorite sushi spot! The service, quality, menu variety and pricing /deals Amazing 10/10 no notes lol. But really I will drive from the South Bay to BP for this place, I can't wait to go back.

Stopped by on Monday evening on 06/08 after a quick visit to Knotts. The place was quiet, it was Monday after all. Service was fast & fresh. I really love that they had a cool kids menu. Probably the best I've seen for just $10. That included an entree & two sides. My daughter had the udon noodles with a side of fries. Odd combo but she enjoyed it. I ate the two gyozas that came with it. All super yummy! I had a rainbow roll that was delicious, my husband had the noodles. Oh, we also shared a cool drink. We'll definitely be back after a visit to the park. Way tastier than most things they have to offer & the prices were reasonable.

Please tell me what is wrong with this receipt. Food were great! Service were great but they cheated on receipt. I noticed after arrived home. Tip was not 15% i got charged 30%!! BE AWARE!!!!

My partner was helping out a neighbor move in and asked me to pick him up afterwards. He asked that I find a good place for us to have dinner since he was very tired. I didnt know what I wanted so I was looking at different places on the way back the SF Valley. I ended up choosing this place and it was a very good choice. We got there and was seated right away. We ordered our drinks and food. It didnt take long fot us to get our food. We ordered: Jalapeno Poppers -- wasnt spicy at all but it was really packed with spicy tuna, cream cheese, etc. Baked Jen Jen -- this was part of their low carb roll. It was spicy crab and avocado wrapped in baked salmon. It was pretty good. It was just too much crab for my liking. Dynamite Roll -- it had a decent amount on it All that we ordered were flavorful. Something to remember though is to make sure to ask for Wasabi and/or Ginger. They do not automatically serve them when you order rolls because some people just waste them. Makes sense! It is free so ask if you want any. The service was great. I will be back if I am in the area. The price was also comparable to other sushi joint.

Extremely delicious and fresh sushi with great portions and awesome flavor combinations. We left super satisfied with the meal we had here! We ate so much and it was very affordable. Good service and multiple options for dipping sauce. I went with yuzu. Highlights were the lobster and scallop hand rolls, Ally Cat roll, and Angrytail Roll. Tuna roll and salmon skin roll weren't very remarkable, but their other rolls, like their eel roll and hand rolls knocked it out of the park. The main point of feedback I have is that the seaweed wrap for the rolls and hand rolls were extremely thick. While great to maintain the structure of the rolls themselves, I found them difficult to chew through, especially for the hand rolls. Do note a lot of rolls are oriented around spicy tuna, in case you prefer more variety. But overall, FANTASTIC sushi spot in OC. Highly recommend!

Sushi Mura was another one of those sushi and ramen spots, but this place definitely leans more toward sushi. The sushi was solid and clearly the focus here. Everything tasted fresh and well put together, and it felt like this is what they do best. The ramen on the other hand was pretty lackluster. It was not bad, just kind of forgettable and nothing that really stood out compared to other ramen places. Overall, I enjoyed the sushi and had a good experience! ALSOO! There is a killer deal of if you get a ramen bowl, you get 50% a roll!! That's what I call value and customer love! Service was awesome, very fast and very precise. And I really loved the interior, very warm and cozy!

Excellent food, ambiance and service. We are on vacation in Orange County and will definitely come again before we leave.

    Dry ginger...

Came here yesterday to try the ramen, since the restaurant boasts being top 3 ramen in the US. I will say that I was a little nervous upon entering, since there were almost customers at 11:30 on a Sunday, but glad to report that the ramen is quite good. We ordered a black ramen, a spicy tonkatsu, and a Jessica roll. They have a deal where, if you buy a ramen or udon, you get a specialty roll at half off. The sushi was very mediocre; the ginger was extremely dry; it's not bad for the half-off price, but I wouldn't pay full price for the sushi. The ramen however, was really good. The spicy tonkatsu had the perfect amount of spice, the black ramen had an umami flavor that didn't overpower the ramen. The eggs were cooked perfectly, just a little solid yolk, but still runny enough. I have to say, walking into an empty restaurant, where they advertised a new mozzarella stick appetizer, I was extremely skeptical. I was afraid that it would not be an authentic experience, but I have to say, the ramen was really good! While the ramen was good, the service was a little lacking. Even though there were only 2 other customers, no one checked in on us during the meal. Server was nowhere near us, and so we did run out of water, with no refill. to be seen. Good ramen, mediocre sushi, lackluster service.

Restaurant quality just hasn't been the same, but that is not the case here. Over the years their team has continued to offer delicious food and a nice casual dining experience. The store is small and cozy, so not great for parties larger than 4, though I'd really just suggest 2. Great for lunch or a low key dinner, it is one of my go-to for ramen spots. I really love their white miso tsukemen, the thick noodles are slightly chilled and served with a wedge of lime which is a nice way to lighten the very rich broth. I've had their red miso before but its deeper flavor is a bit too powerful for my taste, so for those who like something with more umph, that's a great choice as well.

The interior is very small, maybe 16-20 seats total. For food, we ordered the gyoza 2/5, spicy white miso 3.5/5, and spicy red miso 4/5. The gyoza was disappointing since it was reheated and still tasted cold in the middle. Both ramen were filled to the brim with rich, flavorful broth. The white miso broth was slightly less thick and rich than the red miso. The noodles were chewy, and the Tao spice had a nice kick. Unfortunately, there was no AC running so we got pretty hot and uncomfortable during our meal. They also charged us for an extra drink that we didn't order. Sadly, this spot did not live up to expectations and will not return.

We would drive here every other year for their delicious fried tofu appetizer and other fresh and hot items. It was a wonderful experience and a great intro to Japanese cuisine. However, the quality and control have gone down as another reviewer has mentioned. Will be our last time. 1. Food was a bit salty for both ramens bowls. They ran out of the lobster tail and the ribs bowls, which is fine on Valentine's Day. However, they also ran out of basic ingredients. Where are the 2 egg slices, and where are the other fresh garnishes (mushroom or bean sprouts). One of the saddest looking and basic ramen bowls that I've ever experienced, one level above instant ramen (just the pork and excess noodles). Speaking of pork slices, they need to be less firm and softer. They also ran out of wooden spoons. How? We ate with take-out chopsticks with no available plastic spoons. Who is running this branch? 2. Service was standard. 3. Ambiance has nicely decorated theme. However, restaurant and seating area is small and crosse crossed and lacks privacy. You can hear the next table conversation. Would not care so much if the food were excellent. Not worth the tag.

On the other hand, that could also lead to customers for other businesses taking up spots, but I haven't personally had any issues with parking. It isn't the largest restaurant, but it doesn't usually get so busy that the place is packed and there wouldn't be enough seating. The interior remains quite minimal and clean, and the staff are friendly and get the food out relatively quickly. I decided to get the keto burrito, which was surprisingly more filling that I thought it would be. There was tuna and shrimp tempura enveloped by a papery thin surrounding (which seems to be soy paper, even though it looks like untextured rice in video game sushi models from the 2000s). I believe it was ~$15 if I remember correctly; a bit pricey for the quality but I guess you can blame inflation and whatnot. Either way, a pretty solid meal that I didn't have many big qualms with, but nothing to really boast about either. Overall, Giant Ramen & Sushi is a solid place to stop by for lunch if you're in the area. I believe you get free ice cream if you pay in cash also, so that's cool. Generally pretty average tasting food, and the price is a little much to be honest.

As I was about to place my order at the kiosk, an employee informed me that only takeout orders were being accepted and that dine-in was no longer available. I was told this was due to a policy change from management. What I don't understand is that there was no notice posted anywhere about a dine-in cutoff time. Maybe this is normal for this restaurant, but it is not what most customers would expect. When a restaurant posts a break time of 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, most people assume that orders are accepted until 2:00 PM and that the break time begins at 2:00 PM. That has been my experience at most other restaurants. If dine-in service actually stops at 1:45 PM, then that information should be clearly posted at the entrance, on the kiosk, and online. Otherwise, customers may arrive before the posted break time and still be turned away for dine-in service. In my opinion, if customers need to finish their meals before 2:00 PM, then the restaurant should either post a dine-in cutoff time or list an earlier break time. Other restaurants with a 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM break time typically allow customers to enter and order before 2:00 PM. This appears to be an exception. I made a special trip to eat here and was disappointed by the lack of communication. Going forward, customers should know that a posted break time of 2:00 PM here may effectively mean you need to arrive early enough to finish your meal before 2:00 PM, not simply arrive before 2:00 PM. Because of this experience, I will think twice before returning during lunch hours.
