DECENT FOOD, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT I've been here twice, and I can honestly say I think the food is decent, but the manager needs additional training or something. Let me tell y'all what happened and why I will not go back, ever. Service: 0/5 I ordered food to-go for my staff members birthday; I waited about 40 mins. Like others have said, they're very short staffed here and maybe that's problem #1. After some time went by, I think they realized I was sitting for a very long time for a small to-go order, so they rushed & possibly didn't secure my bag of food properly. I ordered a spicy YAKIUDON noodle meal, spicy edamame, and a fried "San Diego". When the young man gave it to me, I asked him if it was secure because it feels heavy and I'm taking it to my staff member and wanted it to be ready for him to eat. He said everything was there, it was packaged well, and sorry for the wait. WELL- LONG STORY SHORT IT WASN'T. lol. I immediately called after I got to my staff members job (15 mins away) and nothing was secure. It leaked so badly EVERYWHERE! My car, my clothes, the food was soggy- it was a literal disaster. After calling- the man apologized profusely and said he will replace EVERYTHING and to come back any time. My staff member and I were out of lunch and it was honestly embarrassing because it was their birthday. I wasted my time, spent 2x the money, and I had an extremely dirty car. I took pics, threw the food away, and went back a few days later. When I got there- the cook/ possibly owner was MAD as heck when the guy told him I was there to recollect my order. After shouting and shaking his head- I saw him cooking. When my bag came- it was awfully light and a very tiny box. I asked the server if that was everything and he was so embarrassed and kept saying he was sorry that the owners said "no." They will not replace it after all. They gave me a literal small side of noodles and that's it. The meal I originally bought came with rice, a salad, a dumpling etc. I also didn't get the edamame, or the fried San Diego! All around- I felt bad for the young man who was so embarrassed and ultimately put in the middle. He said it was wrong what they're doing to me but ultimately this place was going back on what they should do to make it right. I didn't make a scene or argue, I opted to never come back. They menu consists of a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and a few rice bowls and noodle dishes if you're not feeling sushi. I ordered the Euclid roll and enjoyed it! We were also given tempura that had stuffed imitation crab in it on the house and thought that was very good (and so nice of them!). Service here is super friendly and attentive. The store itself is on the casual side, but is cozy. When I came on a weekday at around 7, there was no wait. It is located in a strip mall with a lot of parking. I've passed by this restaurant on numerous occasions and stopped by for the first time today. Our waiter Haram (very sweet albeit the name haha) was so sweet and attentive. The restaurant has a fun lively atmosphere especially with their 90s and 80s hits playlist. We ordered the poke bowl, sashimi bowl and the lobster dynamite bowl. Usually poke bowls at sushi places are quite small with the spare cuts of meat. To my surprise there was plenty of fish, perfect amount of yummy sauces, and a large portion. The food was beautifully presented as well. The fish itself wasn't the freshest (mom and I went 6pm Thursday).
