Love coming here! I've been back quite a few times since my last update, and it's nice to see that the service has continued to improve. I'm also glad, but maybe just a little sad, to see that the restaurant has become more popular. On some visits, there's now a short wait 1-2 parties, and sometimes, there is even 5 parties, which is great for them... but it probably means I'll have to start waiting longer in the future! The staff is still friendly and accommodating. Every now and then, there might be a small mix-up with an order, but they've always been quick to fix it, and it's never been a big issue. I usually visit either before 5 p.m. or after 8 p.m., so I can typically avoid the dinner rush and get seated without much of a wait. The sushi is still consistently fresh, and that's one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Even during busier visits, the quality has stayed the same, and the food comes out at a good pace without feeling rushed or overwhelming the table all at once. First time trying this place cause we've sworn off Aiken. Kids absolutely loved it. They only have a premium option but it was $35 so not the priciest we've seen. Biggest con is that my 8 and 9 year old count as adults cause of their height. Otherwise, this place has an amazing array of sushi and other foods. Nigiri was a decent size. Not huge but at least not the thimble size pieces at some places. They have noodle and rice options and spam musubi which was the biggest deal for my kids. They have a list of premium items that you only get to order one per person. Although they weren't mind blowing, it was pretty good. Service was great. We regularly received water refills, plates cleaned up and our food came out pretty quickly. Interior was open but if you sit in the middle tables you're right next to the other table. They have a little partition but you can hear all of their conversation. I'm sure this place will become packed but when we went on a Friday evening, there was no wait so 10/10 for that. read more

This is my new favorite place. The staff is extremely friendly and caters to all your needs. Overall the fish is fresher than Aikan sushi. Aikan has a lot more non sushi items, so I can see why some people may like that better. This place only has trouble with a bit of foot traffic. The price is almost $6 - $7 cheaper than Aikan, and I make sushi and couldn't buy the fish for that price and I don't work for free either. It is a good deal, and they give a salmon collar. The tempura has a light batter and is cooked perfectly, and the spicy garlic edamame is a good chaser in between sushi eating. Solid sushi place with both an AYCE and non AYCE option. I've had sashimi with higher quality in other AYCE restaurants but it was still good. The premium options were tasty and they gave super minimal rice inside the nigiri's they make it more worth. Everything was plated on these cute wooden cutting boards which made it look aesthetic. Service was slightly slow but still friendly. Went for a Sunday night dinner and only waited 5 minutes before being seated. Highly recommend getting their draft beers as well! I was not the biggest fan of was the garlic edamame and also the no rice rolls. The flavor was too harsh on the edamame and the dish was oddly warm. Went to Kairi sushi on wednesday afternoon for their AYCE happy hour. It's $26.99 per person from 11 (i think?) to 2:30pm It's my second time coming here and they've been consistent with their food and service. We ordered nigiri's from their AYCE menu and their fish to rice portions are amazing! Service was decent, it was a bit busy so there was a bit of a wait but nothing bad at all. kairi is just an OK ayce sushi spot with some nice decor. we came here on a thursday night and there was a short wait time, no problem, it passed by very quickly. their main menu has tons of variety from small plates to noodles to different types of sushi. the quality on that menu was just OK besides the premium menu options, which were really buttery and fresh. the small plates on the main menu had some hits (takoyaki and sashimi salad) and some misses (spicy garlic edamame). some of the fish in the main menu were also really grimy such as the tuna. additionally, the service here is fine. the servers are polite and only some will clear out empty plates. there are just so many ayce sushi spots in the cerritos area, so in my opinion, i would rather pay a little extra and head over to aikan or sake2me. still, it was nice to try this place out. read more

Kairi Sushi is a great addition to Cerritos! Sake2Me used to be my go to spot, but they stopped doing à la carte, but Kairi does and has since been my new go to. I've only done à la carte here and it's always been solid! They've also had a special where all rolls are $10, which I thought was a steal for the quality of food. I've tried a few fresh rolls and baked rolls and have been impressed with everything. I'll definitely have to come back and try the ayce option one day. Service here is friendly and there's never been a wait when I've gone for weekday dinners. It's located in a fairly large plaza, so parking has never been an issue. read more

I had wanted to check out the weekday lunch AYCE special at Kairi Sushi ($26.99 + tax as of November 2025), which is a great deal. We found parking easily in the large lot and walked in for lunch on a Friday with no wait. Service was attentive and friendly and they regularly cleared our empty plates. The all-you-can-eat menu is extensive and I appreciate how most of the rolls are four pieces. The fish to rice ratio is also very favorable for the nigiri. I enjoyed the appetizers and hot food as well. The hand rolls were great. It was fun having spam musubi on the menu, and they even had a promotion with a free salmon collar for lunch. Came here for dinner with my family and had a mixed experience overall. The ambiance was nice, comfortable and inviting, which made it a good spot for a family dinner. The food was definitely the highlight, everything we tried tasted fresh and well-prepared, especially the sushi. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the quality of the food. Our server wasn't very attentive. At one point, I asked for a fork for my mom and it never came. After waiting a while, I had to flag down another server who finally helped us so she could start eating. There were also a few mix-ups during our visit. A dish meant for another table was brought to us, and when I pointed it out, the server questioned whether we were sure we didn't order it, which felt a bit awkward. On top of that, there seemed to be some confusion or inconsistency with ordering rules. We were told carpaccio orders were limited to one of each per person. I ordered the seared tuna, salmon, and yellowtail carpaccio, but only received one of the three. The sushi was great--very fresh, generously sized rolls, and reasonably priced. The location was also very nice. The hostess at the front was extremely kind, sweet, and understanding. However, one of the servers accused the hostess of skipping the line and said that the couple behind us was there first, even though we had already placed our names on the waitlist, she handled it with grace and calmness but It was uncomfortable to be approached that way in front of everyone. Since it was our first time visiting, we had a few questions about the menu. Although we are familiar with sushi, some of the names and dishes were different from other restaurants. Unfortunately, the first server seemed rushed and bothered by our questions. The second server was more patient, understanding, and helpful. Overall, the food, prices, and location were excellent. First time going to Kairi Sushi! Went during happy hour going into dinner. The place was half-full, no wait. We got the premium AYCE. There's a separate order slip of the limited ayce options, we ordered all of those first. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the Carpaccio and oysters from that section. Regarding the rest of the menu, I'm partial towards both the baked and crunchy Langostino rolls and Las Vegas Rolls. All of the other options were fine, got full after two big orders and had to focus on my favorites! I definitely recommend if you like AYCE and sushi, try this place out and compare it. Yesterday my family and I dined at Kairi and I would love to give an outstanding review! I'd specifically like to give Eddy and our busser (I didn't catch his name but he had light brown hair) for the best service. Since it was a Friday night it was very packed but everyone served us with a smile. Our busser was very attentive even though he clearly had multiple tasks and tables to wait. I'd like to give Eddy a personal shoutout for being extremely patient with my family. We were a party of 10 and when I spoke to a gentleman the day before he mentioned there are no reservations but someone in your group can get to the restaurant early to put your name down. Since I live much further out only my mom could get to the restaurant early and put her name. Our name was called much faster than expected but none of the party was there. Eddy was extremely generous to hold the table for us. If he didn't we probably would have waited at least an hour for a new table. I'd also like to give Eddy a shoutout for staying professional while my mom was giving him a hard time. I'd like to personally apologize because I know my mom can come off very strong at times! For all you can eat sushi places kairi is pretty well priced and the fish is usually great. I've been here a few times now and they have solid consistency. The service on the other hand could be better although the workers are nice and friendly it'll seem like they forget you at times and are just kind of slow even on weekdays. A couple of family members came out from South Carolina with their newborn daughter so we decided to get together for dinner. None of us had been to Kairi before but the reviews looked promising. Tuesday night was rather slow so it was fairly easy to find parking in the busy lot and we were able to be seated right away until the rest of the party arrived. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. A+ for service here. All 9 of us ordered AYCE and prepared to have a feast. I'm happy to report the fish is very fresh and everything we ordered lived up to our expectations. The order form only has 3 columns for a round of food orders but our server was kind enough to let us know we weren't limited to 3 rounds. They would provide a new sheet if necessary. The only limitation are the premium items which are 1 piece per person unless you want to pay for additional servings. They also provide separate sheets so you can divide orders by smaller groups rather trying to figure out who ordered what when the orders start coming out fast and furious. Much easier to keep track of 4 or 5 people than sorting out orders for all 9. Kairi is definitely one of the best AYCE sushi restaurants I have been to and highly recommend it. The prices are extremely reasonable and I love the way the sushi is prepared in a more traditional way with smaller balls of rice and the fish sliced to an appropriate thickness. It's a very open space and you don't feel cramped at all. Service was amazing! We were greeted as soon as we walked in. They're very attentive and continuously checked on us throughout dinner! The sushi nigiri itself was decent but not quite on par with other spots in the area. the fish was fine, just not as buttery or well-balanced as I've had elsewhere. What really ruined the experience, though, was the service. After ordering, our main dishes didn't come out for over 30 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Kairi Sushi replaced what used to be a bullet train sushi restaurant. $40 for AYCE dinner is quite a good deal so I decided to give this place a try. There are a few premium/special items you can only get one per person. I got all of it and they were delicious and premium indeed. The oysters were so fresh and perfect with a squeeze of lemon. All of the premium nigiri were seasoned well and nice and fatty. Now for the bad... the rice was a mushy and not seasoned to my liking and there was quite alot of it for each piece of nigiri. The regular salmon and tuna nigiri was on the lean side for those fishes. I would give this place a 3.5 but I'll round up due to the quick and friendly service as well as there not being a wait on a weekend for lunch or dinner.
