We had to wait a while for a table, so I'd recommend going early. The restaurant seemed pretty understaffed, which made service a bit slow and it sometimes took a while to get a server's attention. The fried squid and sauce that came with it was super delicious. I also ordered sushi which was good overall. The restaurant does have a good amount of seating inside, which was nice.

My favorite items were the fries, squid legs, salmon yuzu. Fries were a little spicy but it was crispy. Not sure if the called it poutine because theres cheese but i didnt taste gravy and it wasnt curds. But it was still really good. Salmon yuzu was refreshing. Lemon sliced didnt not destroy the salmon roll. Galbi steak noodle is not bad but not good?the galbi pieces were underneath the noodles. It was a 50/50 between super dry and very juicy steak. The noodles were good since it was garlicy. Fish items were also a 50/50 salmon sashimi was amazing and fresh. The salmon don didnt taste as fresh but the furikake and cucumbers make it work. The chicken karage had a little too much batter but it was juicy and big. I think there was a piece that mightve been undercooked. For the skewers the sauce is super spicy. It lingers in your mouth. Located first floor next to coffee place and old ferry Service was good. It was just 1 waitress for along time and it was 70% full. When more people came more waitresses arrived. But the 1 who went everywhere did work.

What a pleasant Surprise. Thank you so much Yelpers for highlighting this place. The Bulgogi Fries were so flavorful! The Spider Man Roll was good! The Sashimi Platter was a sight to behold

This is the perfect place for friends and good food that's open late and is at the Source, Buena Park. I tried the Beef Yakisoba Noodles. Ambiance is fun with music playing in the background and the restaurant is visually stunning with all the decor.

You know what's a great combo? Great food and great service. The waitress named Evangeline was really kinda , warm , and welcoming . She always had a nice bright smile when approaching my table and speaking to us. My table got some salmon sushi, tuna, uni , scallop , seaweed and edamame . I'd say it was great bang for buck. Definitely a place I'm coming back to. The owner Kevin was also very kind and welcoming. The ambiance was great and I loved the decor. Parking is really easy because of the big parking structure.

Came for a late-night dinner after landing in California. Took a few minutes to get the attention of someone to seat us. Food was overall good- the creamy pasta had the right balance of seafood notes. My husband really liked his bulgogi poutine. Service was a bit slow- but otherwise good.

Service was great and we had a nice waitress! The place is dimly lit and good for drinks and a bite. The food is definitely more drinking food vibes - fried food, strong flavor, and more greasy. I really enjoyed the spicy tuna crispy rice. The stew was not amazing but it was still decent! We really liked the bulgogi crispy rice appetizer thing that they just came out with. It layers imitation crab on crispy rice and bulgogi on top, paired with fries. I highly recommend you try that dish. The Mexican roll, however, was suspiciously too fishy. Maybe the albacore was a bit old or something. I'd recommend getting another roll than this. Overall good place to hang out with friends! Food and drinks here are a great way to spend the night.

The mentaiko udon was absolutely lovely! I had such a ball, Eva was our server and made sure we were very well taken care of. Gave great recs and had an infectiouslu positive energy which made the food taste even better!

Absolutely outstanding experience! The restaurant offers the perfect combination of incredibly fresh sushi. My server banji was so nice and accommodating.

We were a party of five and came here this past Saturday for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. All the dishes were delicious! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant too. Cute decorations. We did make reservation ahead of time so we didn't have to wait for a table. When we got there, we were seated right away. Overall, I would come back and take more of my friends and family here to try other foods.

Was seated immediately for a party of 2 on Saturday for lunch. It was somewhat hard for us to find as it's on the first floor tucked in a corner so kinda distant from the other restaurants and food courts. The food here is delicious, no doubt. Love that they offer both Japanese and Korean dishes. I think the sushi roll was on the pricier side but the rose tteokkbokki was priced well for such a large portion. They have a sailor moon wand to wave for the staff's attention so that was silly and fun. My only qualm was not getting a to-go sauce cup that I specifically asked for so couldn't take my croquette sauce home lol.

This hidden gem is found on the bottom corner of The Source Mall next to Basilur! Perfect for large parties or groups of friends, this place is decorated beautifully with glowing cherry blossom trees and lamps inside. The service wands to call for staff are hilarious and make me feel like a magical girl. A Must Try!!!! : The Mentaiko Udon and the Spider Man roll! Mentaiko udon is one of the best I've had! The udon was perfectly cooked and the mentaiko and udon together is the reason I keep coming back! The sauce is perfectly creamy, kinda shrimpy, if you've never had mentaiko before but love shrimp, try it! Spider Man roll: the soft shell crab in this was so yummy! I really loved the spiderweb shaped sauce on the plate, super cute! I came here once with a large group of friends for a birthday and came again with family! It's truly a hidden gem! And the best part is that theyre open pretty late at night!

After we graduated, we promised to have a little reunion here as adults when we were old enough to drink. This little reunion happened recently. My little sister, who is 17, knew I was meeting my friends for dinner and asked if she could come. Since I knew we would be drinking, I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if she could sit with us since she wouldn't be drinking. They said no. If we were drinking, she couldn't be there. I thought it was unfortunate, but I told my sister she couldn't come to dinner with us. But what was really annoying is that after we ordered alcohol, our server didn't card us. I went out of my way to uninvite my sister because they said she couldn't be there, and they didn't even check. I thought it was a dumb rule in the first place, but it was really annoying that they didn't even enforce it after I went out of my way to ask. The pork belly skewers were really good. I can see why we used to come all the time as kids. Smoky and crispy. There's a big super traditional looking grill at the front of the restaurant, so I guess they're super serious about their skewers. The okonomiyaki was good too. We decided to try the rose tteokbokki since it was a new menu item, but we were unimpressed. There were barely any toppings inside. We also got the steamed squid, but I thought it was a bit overcooked. We might've stayed a little longer, but the sight of a cockroach climbing on our table sent a chill down our spines. We told a server that we saw a cockroach, but she just stared at us blankly and walked away without doing anything. After that, we had serious issues about the perceived cleanliness of the restaurant and left immediately.  I'm disappointed. In the end, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling I was yearning for. I think there were several interactions with the workers that they could have handled better. I cleared my little side quest, so I don't think I have a reason to ever return.

Fifteen courses that are surprises because even tho there's a "template" of types of dishes, each one is ultimately the chef's choice. As each course was brought out, our waiter did an excellent job of describing what each item was and it's place of origin. Fifteen courses is alot to try to remember each specific dish so I decided to stay in the moment (after I snapped a pic) and enjoyed each one as we had them and talked about the flavor profiles and what we liked best about it. When my son had made the reservation he must have told them we were celebrating my birthday because in addition to the regular dessert course, our server brought me a birthday dessert which included green tea ice cream and a slice of matcha cheesecake. The full omakase experience was delicious and so fun! I told my son that it was like an advent calendar ~ each course we "opened" had us saying "ooo, how yummy" and left us with almost giddy anticipation of what we'd discover next. If you're looking for something fun and unique for a special occasion, I highly recommend the full omakase experience at Akashiro!

So we found this place and it was in the same vicinity and yay, they took reservations. Made reservations same day for a 18:30 seating. Service is impeccable. We were welcomed with hot towels, and this impressed me: when our server asked if we wanted cold or hot water. Love it! We opted for hot, better for digestion :) Our libation: Kubota sake - semi dry, rich, clean Our dishes: Assorted sashimi (16 pcs) - omakase. No soy sauce needed. Chef prepared with delicious flavors in mind. Tiger scallops - served in a what appears to resemble petrified wood, carved into a long boatlike dish. Hokkaido shrimp, cilantro oil, chilaquita (Peruvian onion relish), sweet potato crisp, smoke aji Amarillo (Peruvian yellow chili) Leche de tigre (rich emulsion of limes, Peruvian spices and chilis) - A complexity of flavors that comes together so completely. Eat with spoon. The delicate potato crisp finishes the bite with a little crunch. Udon picante - bell peppers, quinoa and 2 jumbo shrimp. Love the heat level. Comfort food at its best. Salmon parmesan - Nikkei sushi - seared salmon, parmesan bitter, eel sauce , arare, lime. Amazing. O toro sushi - the fattiest cut of tuna. Eat as is. Again chef prepared. No added seasoning required. Parri maki - fried shrimp, cream cheese, seared tuna topped with chimichurri, aji amarillo, chalaquita, ponzu. Food experience was enhanced by their impeccable taste in music. Super chill, soft beats stream the restaurant. With its perfect lighting too sets all the good moods for us. Don't wait for this fine dining experience of Japanese and Peruvian fusion. Note: when they ask if you want soy sauce, say No, thank you. It would be a shame to kill the taste of a beautiful dish with any added sauce. Kampai! Salud!
