Customer service is good, but they will sweet talk you if you don't know nothing about cars. I brought my car in because It had an electrical problem. They found the problem, but they made it seem that it was going to be hours & hours of labor to fix the car. They quoted me up to $3000 for a simple fix. I said no thank you & took my car back. Provided the necessary documentation, and time line given for the vehicle to be done. Leveraged a coupon that was on their website to receive a reduced rate on the STAR Smog test. High value for the services rendered. Gil notified me that the vehicle was done early (about 20 minutes), and walked me through the results. Provided the necessary documentation and notified me that the test results are sent electronically with paper copy given to me. Highly recommend ACA Automotive. I hesitate to write about this outfit. They're such a rare gem I'd like to keep them all to myself. Once you come across something like this it likely triggers an involuntary reflexes to keep them all to your self. The rare combination of competence and caring is such a rarity today that it's stunning when you come across it. Inside it's unassuming building (the packed parking lot speaks volumes) lies a massive amount of talent and heart. Their staff, from the writers to the techs are so thoughtful and accomplished in their roles as to trigger a disbelief that something as wonderful as this can actually exist. Remember, this is a car repair shop I'm gushing about. They've kept several of our cars, from an old Highlander to a sleek little Lexus running beautifully for years now. I've been taking my cars to ACA for more than 20 years, and I've always been happy with the service. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they take the time to explain what needs to be done and why. It's been rough for them since the post covid reopening, they had to rebuild their team it took some time, but they have done an excellent job. Adam and Victor have always been great, and Franky is a great addition. My kids' cars are older, and they take on the issues without a concern. They let me know if it's not worth fixing a particular - nonessential - part due to the cost. I love that honesty. I recommend ACA Automotive to anyone who needs auto repair or maintenance. Absolutely stellar customer service! WOW! Would not expect customer service like this from an auto repair store. I had interactions with Adam and Gil, and communication while my vehicle was getting work done was top notch. I needed to get my AC fixed. I did not price shop or anything- so I can't comment on price, but from the first interaction when calling I could tell this was a great place. My AC ended up having pretty big issues. They broke down the quote for me, and serviced the vehicle in one and a half days. Do not take your vehicle here for engine repairs. This was my 1st time taking my vehicle to this business, and it will be my last. I took my vehicle in for low oil pressure. I paid for the diagnostic and the service tech said I needed a new oil pump. They installed a new oil pump for 2700.00, and I still had low oil pressure. They basically said there was nothing they could do for me but I still had to pay for work that didn't repair my vehicle. I have been back and forth over the phone with a guy named Dave, we tried to come to an agreement for a refund, he said the company can offer me 800.00 if I didn't leave a bad review. I told him that I deserve a full refund but that I would accept 1350.00. He said again that there was nothing he could do for me. This seems to be a recurring theme for this company. Hopefully someone out there will learn from my experience and find another repair shop. We work too hard for our money just to be scammed by unscrupulous companies hiding behind fake four and a half star reviews. Please learn from my mistake and do not take your vehicle to this shop. read more

I went in for an oil change and asked about replacing two of my brake lights. They wanted to charge me $40 per light. Red flag considering I've been to mechanics who throw in a bulb for free. They also wanted to even charge more for a cabin filter. I drove away. Well $25 at AutoZone and two YouTube videos later I was able to do both myself. If you don't care about money and just want it done, be my guest, patronize this place. My lightbulb involved pulling back a panel in my trunk (no tools required!) and popping in a new $3 bulb (with gloves). They wanted to charge $40 a piece for that? That's offensive. Watch yourselves folks. They're incredibly friendly but watch yourself gouging. Two stars. Mostly for me for learning to replace things myself. read more

Honestly not sure HOW this company has such good reviews. Took my car here because the engine started acting funny, needed a local place that looked honest and easy, so I landed on ACA. They told me it was spark plugs, which is fine, then of course as any shady auto shop does, they start stacking up the issues, I told them fine to an oil change, and also to check my breaks since sometimes (key word sometimes) when I back up, they make a whistling noise. They called me back that same day and said they found the issue and would fix my breaks. Two days later, they told me my car would be done Monday at 4:30 so I show up, sit twiddling my thumbs until 5:30 when they tell me my car's NOT done and there's something else wrong with my breaks. Mind you, while I was in there, 3 other people were losing their minds on staff because they had also been told their cars would be done but they weren't. At this point, I am so irritated, they send me home in an Uber (seems to be their only customer service answer for bad jobs). They call me back the next day saying my car is ready but...now it needs a new tire!! And alignment!! Shady shady shady and CRAZY expensive - I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone having car issues. Horrible. UPDATE: The told me they fixed my brakes and they certainly charged me for it, but as of today, the brakes are STILL making noise!! This place is a complete rip-off! read more

I'd recommend this place for the value but not necessarily time management. Although most were cordial enough, they quoted me an hour for a smog check so I sat down and took a screenshot of the time. When I went to check in at the hour mark they told me it'd be another 30 minutes and tried to tell me I'd only been there for 40 minutes because whoever wrote down the time I came in recorded it wrong. Ended up taking around an hour and a half in total so they gave an accurate time on the second 30 min quote. So if you're not on a time crunch and don't mind waiting around for however long and want to save a couple bucks this place will do. I do appreciate that they send smog results to the DMV so 4-stars for that. read more
