WOW! Truly impressed with this location. They verified the brake caliper on my girlfriend's vehicle was not truly seized. Downey Car Care Center was going to charge an additional $289.47 for a brake caliper that was not needed and an additional $152.10 for a brake fluid service had we replaced the caliper. While Downey Car Care Center highly recommended the caliper, Alex's Auto Repair stated they did not want us to waste a lot of money if the calipers were not the problem. Truly grateful for Alex's Auto Repair prompt responses and amazing customer service. They verified the caliper did not need to be replaced. They simply lubricated our caliper. We were able to save over $400 and we are grateful. Thank you for your ethics, honesty, and time. It truly makes a difference. I have no issues with their workmanship but would never go back due to their dishonesty. They said I need to change all four brake pads because they were all at 3mm. I went to another shop and they measured it and showed me that the front brakes were at 3mm but the back brakes were at 7mm and could go another 10k miles. I came in to get a window regulator fixed for my 2016 Tesla model X and the communication was really good. Upon arrival the manager or front desk gentleman was really friendly and kind. They do take a lunch between 12 and one unfortunately I came around 11:45am but even still they were able to get me out of the door by 2 PM so I was still on time to get my son they charged me exactly what they quoted and ran into no issues. I think they had a EV expert mechanic ! The window works amazing. Everyone who was working here was friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. They did an amazing job. I had a lot to do in my vehicle. They took videos and explained what was going on and what needed to be fixed. They kept me updated on what was going on. When I got my car back around 440pm. My car died I called them and told them what happened they closed up at 5pm and drove to where my car was to see what the problem was. Took my son's 2014 Mini Countryman here after it suddenly lost power while driving. I messaged them through Yelp and got a quick response -- we were able to bring the car in the same day. They diagnosed the issue quickly and kept me updated. The price was reasonable, and the whole experience felt very efficient. The following week, I brought in my own 2021 Mini Countryman for rear brake service. I was quoted a flat rate that was comparable to other auto shops in the area and definitely cheaper than the dealership. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that they didn't mention there would be an extra charge for the sensor, which I would've appreciated knowing up front. Otherwise, I was very happy with the service. The office is clean and organized, and someone is there to help you as soon as you walk in -- unlike other places where you're left waiting around.
