acai republic is a great option for acai in the area. service here is super friendly, which makes it really stand out. the staff at the counter always welcomes everyone in and answers any questions, making sure that each customer is taken care of. for new customers, they also offer samples of each of their bases because the differences in ingredients are fairly subtle. there are a few tables inside to eat at, but i typically take my bowls to go. the acai here is so good. i love the texture; it reminds me of a sorbet - not too icy but not too runny. the acai ranges from sweet to sour, depending on the base. the sao paolo base is fairly sweet thanks to the banana, and i like the acai flavor that comes through. this one is my favorite base because it's the sweetest. the real brazilian is very similar; it's only slightly more tart with the addition of strawberry. otherwise, the ingredients are the same. the cali base tastes the most sour with very tropical flavors. i can really taste the pineapple and mango. they're very generous with the toppings, and there's a good variety to choose from. they offer all of the basics, like nut butters, seeds, granola, coconut shreds, and fruit, as well as some unique toppings, like passionfruit cream. most of the fruit tastes super fresh, save for the mangos. i prefer to build my own bowls so i can customize my toppings, but they offer some set options as well. - the madly mango (3.5/5): this set bowl includes the cali base with granola, mango, pineapple, and coconut shreds as the toppings. i expect the pineapples to be kind of sour, but the mangos are also tart and taste as if they were frozen. they're harder in texture. i think the bowl needs something a little sweeter to offset the flavor. the coconut shreds adds that bit of sweetness, but it's not enough for me - the cali smoothie (4/5): my boyfriend really likes this smoothie because he loves tropical fruits! since it's made with the cali base, i think it's a bit too sour for my taste. the smoothie tastes fresh and has a good consistency. it's not too thick but doesn't melt too fast - pao de queijo (3/5): the flavor isn't as cheesy other cheese breads i've had. it also tastes a bit stale, like it it's been left out for a bit and then just warmed up slightly. i still love the mochi-like texture - beef empanada (2.5/5): the empanada could use more filling, and the filling itself is just okay. it's just ground beef - seasoned fine but nothing special. the pastry is good, but there's just too much pastry. it's also overbaked, so it's too crispy - ham & cheese empanada (2/5): it needs more filling, similar to the beef empanada, and it's also overbaked. it tastes a little bland; i can taste the ham and cheese even less than the beef overall, i love how fresh acai republic's acai bowls are, and they offer all of the toppings i typically want with my bowl. i wish they would offer more base options, such as pitaya or mango, but they're very true to acai's brazilian roots so i can't really complain. i can't recommend acai republic enough, especially for the excellent customer service! read more

amazing little gem! came here on a whim while coming back from a cycling class and it's become a ritual to grab my smoothie here. i generally get the classic smoothie with whey protein and chia seeds, it's incredibly refreshing. the girls here also super sweet. second time i came the girlie recognized me from the first time, which shows their attentiveness. def give it a try! read more

I have been sitting here for about 10-15min eating with my son and witnessed some of the best customer service provided not just to myself, but every single person that came in. This also isn't my first time here; it is a regular feature. Customers unfamiliar with the menu were immediately helped and navigated towards what *they* wanted (unlike some places just try to sell you something). Employees always seem to be in a good/amiable mood, they must get free bowls or something because they're always like that. I actually ended up accidentally leaving my wallet inside when I left and one of the employees returned it as soon as he saw it was mine. So to add to all that they have integrity . 11/10 experience and I can't recommend this place enough, the way they treat customers, carry themselves, and the quality of their bowls/smoothies are top tier.
