I'd been wanting to see what this store had to offer for months as I could see they offered food to go... When you enter the store you immediately know it's different. There's a jewelry store right inside the front door. The produce selection is many unique items, all carefully stacked neatly for display. The spice selection in the store is massive and I think anything you need is here and the prices are good. The meat department also has good buys and a wide selection .... Much better than most stores. Finally made it to the area to order food and ordered a burrito lunch for take out. You pay them wait...and wait...and wait... I don't know what the deal was but there were order numbers 7 past me called before the cashier asked to see my receipt and maybe expedited the order. It was 20-25 minutes for a burrito with rice and beans. Food was okay - good for the price I guess... stay away from lunchtime and the wait might not be so long. 3.5 stars read more

I'm happy I stumbled up on this grocery store i walked in & felt like I was in an Ethnic Whole Foods. The occupancy was was low (as it was just prior to lunch) but the facility has such a huge variety of meat, spices, imports etc. The service had a smile also... Wide variety of items in market! Went for taco Tuesday $1.00 tacos and got the seasoned steak and pork. Plenty of meat. Pork a little dry but the steak was perfect! The red sauce a bit spicy for me but the green sauce you get with order was spot on!!! Busy place, nothing fancy, but ordering was easy and efficient!! Can't wait to try other menu items! My first time here. Huge mexican grocery and place to eat and sit. I order 2 steak tacos, quesadillas, 2 pork tacos. The pork was dry the steak was good. Quesadilla was small overall it was good. Absolute best Mexican restaurant I've been to since moving here 5 years ago from Chicago. The food options are HUGE, the portions are HUGE and the prices were really reasonable!! If you want very good Mexican food, just jump on I-75 to exit 224 and go west for about 3 miles. This is both an incredible Mexican supermarket that has its own awesome bakery with TONS of Mexican pastries and baked goods but their restaurant IS worth the trip. Taco Tuesday is great time for delicious $1 tacos and they always have weekend specials. There are NOT a lot of tables, and it is cafeteria style so if you're lucky enough to get a table-Rock on!!! It's really a hidden gem! Seriously, I came home from lunch and absolutely needed a siesta! For lunch, I had #26-Bistec Encebollado ($13.99) deliciously seasoned thinly sliced steak (lil tough but HUGE portion) COVERED in fresh sautéed onions with Mexican rice and salad (see picture!). Had it with a glass bottle of Mexican Coca-Cola ($2.49 Cane Sugar NOT high fructose corn syrup like ALL American made Coke). My son had #24-Fiesta Mexicana ($14.99) which was identical to the Bistec Encebollado but the steak was covered in cheese. And he had a Jarrito Vidrio (($1.79) to drink. We also shared Chicharron Frito ($3.75-1/2 #) , which were fried pork ribs. Mmmmmmm! I want to try everything on the menu so I try a different menu item each time and one as an appetizer. There are VERY FEW restaurants I go to and can't get into the clean plate club (or the clean foam plate club here) but it's happened all 3 times that I've eaten here. It NOT fancy. It's not gourmet. It's simple DELICIOUS Mexican food served in foam containers with cheap ass plastic cutlery. You may have to wipe your own table down too, but still cheaper than going to Mexico for your meal!! I was a big fan of their other location on 1st Street in Bradenton so I was super excited when this location opened. The lunch portions are huge. And they are extremely reasonable around $8 for a ton of food. The tacos were excellent. The carne asada great. And I tried enchiladas for the first time I'd really like them. I called the order in to have it ready when I came. Everyone was super sweet and the food was ready when I arrived. I did not shop around the entire store but it is huge. Lots of grocery aisles and tons of fresh produce. As well as the entire counter of prepared food plus a deli section. Their prices for the deli section were unbelievably low. The one star goes to that the food we got was delicious. But it took 45 minutes to get 3 tacos. No more stars , Like what the heck? I gave the girl taking the orders my order but at the same time she was talking and carrying on with her co-workers. And was not concentrating on attending to the customer. She asked me what I was getting twice... come on for 3 tacos?.. and then after that you can't even throw the trash away. Cause the trash can was over flowing This is all the young kids in this world that can't do their job without fooling around. Supervisors and managers are slacking, too. Frequented the one in Bradenton many times even though I live in Parrish. Had to coordinate visiting around being near the store. Was very happy when this store opened locally. The store is very meticulous and well organized . It's not only Hispanic food, they also sell jamaican and other ethnicities . My only concern as was with the other location, you really have to check your expiration dates on the food. Found alot of dairy items, with as much as 5 days past the sell by date. Yes, they have the best bakery goods, and cakes and pastries. But I'm not a fan of so many people being able to help themselves, youching the food especially kids. Haven't been in since Covid19 so I'm not sure if they discontinued that. They have a great hot food section. They have taco Tuesdays for $1 but be careful, we asked for extra queso which is usually on the steak tacos and they charged an extra $1. There was just a small dusting of cheese on top.There was no "extra". They are worth $2 dont get me wrong but they should tell you its extra money . I think the shelf space could be better utililzed By pulling out A few of the myriad Cream cheese products and put in some basic cottage cheese. They have 2 rows of about 6 deep of the different brands of Cream cheese. Fully stocked. No need for that many. Also, there is a Hanging sign At the end of the aisle saying they have peanut butter. But nowhere on the shelf Is there one jar of peanut butter and not even a URL shelf sticker saying that there ever was a jar of peanut butter. And I understand that they are all Spanish and understand 0 English, but they all use an app to translate. But it is still terrible customer service. Terrible. Every time I go in. read more

Rating is based on cook to order food only. We like the store and decided to try it out for lunch. First the portions are generous. But we both left feeling very gassy. I ordered nachos with lengua. This is a terrific Mexican market that has a fantastic prepared food section. Food can be carried out or eaten on site. We carried out n assortment of yummy items including several different empanadas, a pastor quesadilla, a potato meat round thing (sorry forget the name of it:) etc. All the employee are super sweet and helpful, the prices are crazy reasonable, and the food is just so good. We frequent Acapulco Ellenton location. The food is authentically delicious HOWEVER our order is almost always wrong. That doesn't deter us because the food is so good and reasonably priced we just check our order for accuracy before we leave now. The pico with homemade chips are some of the best we've ever had. Horrible experience today!. The personnel in charge doesn't really know how to do their job! I place an order for a cake and pick it up today and it was sloppy chocolate melted not really how supposed to look . I have years buying at this place and I know exactly how the cake will look . This guy incharge excuse was someone left it outside the refrigerator. What?? Seriously no one is in charge at the bakery. he doesn't even know how the cakes are even made! This place is a shame....
