Don't go here!!!! Find a different urgent care. I came here on Tuesday mid afternoon not feeling well. The doctor that saw me said it was a common cold. I had told them I felt I was wheezing. He said I wasn't. And all he prescribed me was Albuterol which is an inhaler. Didn't recommend medication or a shot. Come Friday I'm still not feeling well so I go back. I showed up at 11:30 and the girl behind the counter (she was super nice and friendly) said everyone was on lunch and I could come back at 1. I wanted to cry. I also asked what would happen since last time I wasn't prescribed really any medication or shots recommended. She said I would have to pay for a consultation again and see what medication would be recommended. She did say it was the same doctor on Tuesday. I just felt soooo crappy that I kind of snapped at her and said oh no thank you. I'll find a different place. She was soooo nice tho! I feel bad. Honestly the only reason I'm giving an extra star is bcuz the staff in the front were super nice. Both girls that helped me were so sweet! On Friday I got home after this confrontation just tears in my eyes bcuz I wanted to feel better and just felt frustrated. My husband reminded me we have Cephalexin. It is commonly used for respiratory infections. Which is what I felt I had. I took 1 pill and felt 180 in 2-3 hours. It's Saturday morning as I'm typing this and my symptoms are 90% done. I've taken 3 pills. I had gone on this whole week feeling not well. P.S. I asked them to give me a pregnancy test before we did anything. You know... married. It was negative and the doctor told me this then asked. "Are you guys trying to conceive?" Just thought that was a little weird to be asking as a male doctor to female patient that's not there for that. read more

Title: Misleading Doctor - Avoid This Urgent Care! I went to Accelerated Urgent Care in Laguna Hills for a sore throat and cough. The doctor told me to buy lozenges, but I said I avoid sugar. Then he said he'd send a prescription to CVS, so I thought it would be real medicine. I made three trips to CVS: First trip during lunch - pharmacy too busy. Second trip at 6:15 p.m. - they were closed. Third trip the next morning - the pharmacist told me it was just an over-the-counter spray, same as lozenges! I'm 72 years old and exhausted. New facility , friendly staff . Beautiful waiting area with orchids which I thought was a nice touch Then the disaster starts. My wife accompanies my mother into the procedure room and spots the LVN contaminating the tray , a big no no that shows lack of caring , she pointed it out to the PA who asked her to leave the room Next they can't give me an invoice for payment and refuse my suggestion that I will come back , they make me wait an hour to no avail, eventually it's gets to 9.00 pm and I am told billing will contact me. I just want to say that my family and I have had the WORST experiences over and over again at Accelerated Urgent Care off of Alicia. My mother in law was chastised by the doctor on duty because she hadn't seen her primary care doctor for the simple cold/flu that she had before seeking treatment at the urgent care AND THEN said she couldn't prescribe a z pack because there were sicker people that needed it. I went a different time and had a terrible experience with the same doctor. The doctor was so terrible, I vowed I would never return. However, this morning my toddler fell on the concrete and bit into his top lip, was bleeding everywhere. I rushed him to Accelerated because it is the closest urgent care to us -the doctor on duty said my son needed one or two stitches on his lip, but they couldn't do it because he was crying and didn't want the stitches. He offered to draft a letter for me to bring to the ER.... I just walked out...what a ridiculous waste of time. I drove to a different urgent care 5 minutes away and they did the stitches. read more

I was having a gout flare up and when Lisa told me the two types of medicine that she uses to treat gout, I knew that she knows what she is doing as it has been 20 years for me to get a combination that works and it is exactly what she said that she would prescribe. It was last Friday evening as I brought a coworker over to be treated after a mandolin incident occurred. My coworker was in shock, crying, and I was pretty stressed out about how to go about this visit. Midway through registration, a female doctor came up to the reception area to inform the clerk that she had to go on her break right at 7pm, which marked the time for us to miss the treatment. With my coworker bleeding and dripping blood from her fingertip, I tried to plead with the doctor, Lisa, trying to convince her to please treat my coworker. As I am not a medical professional, I seriously worried about her well-being. I continued to plead with the doctor, telling her to please just look at the wound first and at least let us know if sutures were needed or if we should go to a different place. In the end, Dr. Lisa chose to see my coworker to treat her before going on her break. I hope she doesn't get in trouble for this, but honestly, I definitely felt patient care was her priority at that time. And that's how a doctor and urgent care's focus should be. Despite the fact that I knew a higher charge would incur after a certain hour, we still stayed because I knew it was the right thing to get my coworker treated without further delay. I went there yesterday, looking and feeling so bad & was embarrassed of how I looked. It wasn't pretty ;) This place was perfect, fast and efficient. The doctor was very kind, very smart and knew exactly how to treat me. I liked him a lot. The staff was also very nice and professional. They are also open when all the other urgent cares aren't. I had a great experience going to this urgent care facility! The place is super clean, all staff members were efficient and very friendly. The nurse that took care of me (I believe her name is Kailey) was awesome, as does the PA that helped me. They're able to diagnosed my foot pain and gave me the right prescription as well. To say we had an utterly disappointing experience at this urgent care facility is an understatement. Long story short, my boyfriend cut his finger and this was the only open urgent care near us. Upon arrival, just moments after walking in, we were informed that the doctor was about to take a lunch break, but that we should just stay because by the time we're done filling out paperwork she'd be back from lunch and we'd be seen. To add insult to injury, the doctor came out and we were promptly shooed out of the building and instructed to wait in our car because we couldn't be in the building while she was on her thirty minute lunch break. After enduring this inconvenience, we were finally allowed back inside, only to be met with more waiting. Fifteen minutes later, we were called back, but the inefficiency and disorganization persisted. The urgent care seemed to operate at a snail's pace, with little regard for the urgency of my boyfriend's still bleeding, deeply cut finger. What struck me most, however, was the utter lack of compassion displayed by the staff. From the abrupt dismissal to the prolonged wait times, it was evident that patient care was not a priority at this establishment. Overall, I would strongly advise against seeking medical attention at this urgent care facility unless absolutely necessary, as the experience was nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I made an appointment and because I am a new patient I arrived 10 minutes early. I was told by the receptionist the doctor is leaving for lunch and I would need to reschedule. I was in shock!!! I have been a medical practice administrator, my whole career, and could never fathom treating a patient like this. Lunch was more important than seeing the patients that had a scheduled appointment and were there. Maybe at least they could've had the courtesy to call me then tell me before I drove all the way down there. Apparently, patients are not important nor is other peoples time. I'm honestly disgusted by the lack of care and compassion. My daughter was just essentially turned away with a face so swollen, she can't see because it was close to closing and the doctor is busy with telemedicine appointments. Awesome!! Good to know you care more about getting out the door on time than caring for a child. Luckily the ER was concerned enough to see her right away and we were triaged, given appropriate meds, and discharged within an hour. To the lady at the front desk... your lack of basic human decency and empathy is appalling! Honestly, you should be nowhere near the healthcare field if that's how you'll treat a scared child who needs help. Not a fan of Dr. Edgar Garza. My son had a compound fracture in his wrist. I have personally had that happen a few years back. I told the Dr. I didn't want to pay for the splint cause I had previously been charged around $200 for a $35 CVS splint. He rushed us out after that and seemed to get all upset. Dude didn't even make eye contact. Super weird vibes to get after being there over an hour and not being shown the X-ray. I am used to much more communication and conversation from healthcare professionals. Other than the doctor the rest of the staff was nice. read more

The worst care I've ever experienced in an urgent care, I've on been a to a few thankfully but this one just avoid if possible, I needed a doctor to clear me for work and when I came in there was one person waiting before me and I have been in this place for 4 hours. It is depressing the poor girl working up front probably hates everyone in the back because of how utterly disrespectful they are and do not care about anything but themselves and not their patients. After 2 hours of being here a girl came in screaming crying and they did not attend to her for 2 hours and I noticed that she never stopped screaming out in pain until another hour and a half went by. I checked in online as I had a limited time before going to work. Online check in was relatively easy. Entered insurance information with no problem. When I arrived I was told my insurance was out of network and would potentially not be covered. Standard charge for visit is $250. My copay is only $50. I was not going to risk that charge. There should have been an alert during online check in stating Cigna was out of network. The gal at the front desk said she had reviewed my info and knew I was out of network. Instead of calling to let me know ahead of time they just wait for you to show up. I am terribly disappointed as I lost my window of opportunity to be seen before having to return to work. my first impression of the facility was nice with the receptionist, then i was taken back. i got my vitals taken, etc. the pct then took me to the examination room where the doctor talked to me. the doctor listened to the concerns of my health i had, however he invalidated it by simply just telling me i had allergies. he then put me on a breathing treatment and i had asked the PCT a question about a shot they were giving at the facility and replied to me in a snarky way in which she did not even know what i was talking about. to keep this short, i had an unpleasant visit here and i probably won't be going back. update: i went to the REAL doctor and they said i don't need to be on steroids nor was my condition a case of allergies. i have a sinus infection. read more

There is one woman ahead of us and she has been here longer than we have. We hear the desk boy go in the back to talk to a nurse and we heard the nurse say "is she ready to go back". Visited Accelerated Urgent care with both of my little ones for the first time this past weekend. Of course on top of being very sick and not feeling well they were very nervous to go to an urgent care. The second we got there we noticed how clean and pretty the lobby was. The girls in the front were very very friendly and kind. The MA's were very kind and friendly...and the doctors were also very helpful, took their time and made the kids feel very comfortable.
