Accent is an excellent community to live in from my perspective, working at a large cap real estate private equity fund- this building is maintained well and management does a good job enforcing the rules of the community. PROS: -well maintained common areas (carpets are a bit dated but are being replaced, and that is fractional expenses to a community) -parking strictly enforced, tow immediately if your parking lot is violated -noise/quiet hours strictly enforced. This is not a party community and management/security respect residents' privacy -reinforced walls, you don't hear your neighbors -in-unit amenities are very nice/modern, especially on the ground floor with high ceilings and good interior lighting CONS: -design of building is not efficient, so you'll have to walk quite a bit for parcel pickup/manually throwing out trash -weed smokers, but that is systemic to all of LA regardless of where you live -trash removal service - the concierge service is pretty lame, I asked to opt out upon move in but they don't let you Accent is a good place to live in playa vista. Remember this is an apartment complex so in general you can't expect much from your neighbors in terms of quality of people - that the rules of the community are enforced strictly allows you to live peacefully here without any interruption. read more

This rating and review is based on two particular factors, including the upper management and the property maintenance team. Ashley and Veronica have done a commendable job regaining control of a property that had been somewhat distressed in previous months. However, this was primarily because of the frequent changes that had been occurring within upper management prior to both of their arrivals, and or promotion. Additionally, Kevin, Maria, Lucy, and the rest of the maintenance staff worked their tails off constantly in order to keep the property both clean and in good operating health. The only negative aspect of my experience here involved the numerous temporary leasing agents and managers that cycled through the leasing office during my 2nd and final year here. I moved in about a month ago and could not be happier. Leasing agents are wicked friendly, property is brand new and modern. The whole process has been easy and exciting. I almost signed a lease at Avalon del rey and theres a solid chance I would have been put on suicide watch if I lived in that dilapidated building. Do not move here. The sales team does not return calls. They do not interact honestly with applicants. They told me that each unit comes with parking but omitted to tell me that the parking is not covered! I tried to see the apartment time after time however they kept delaying. They finally delayed beyond the time period wherein they would refund my deposit. And then they blamed me for requesting my deposit beyond the accepted 24 hour grace period. They basically manipulated me beyond the 72 hour grace period and then refused to return my deposit. If this is any indication of how the corporation runs and manages this property, I strongly recommend you rent elsewhere! read more

First of all, this is a very nice place to live in. I do see the frustrations that the residents go through. But in all honesty, it's not the fault of the current management. When our current management took over, they were left off with crap all over the place from the previous management. They're trying really hard to make the place better. Yes the gas grill is am issue but they'll work on that. It is pet friendly so expect the community to be loud. That's the risk you have to take living in a pet friendly neighborhood. Parking - it is a huge issue yes it is. Again, it's not their fault that the previous management allowed each unit to have FIVE CARS to park in the lot. The units that have a garage use their garage for storage and end up parking in the guest lot. Not fair for other residents. Towing needs to start happening. I can't even have a single guest park in the guest lot. maybe a parking pass? But start towing so you can show the residents that you mean business. This is for the cars: YELLOW AUDI A5, WHITE BMW 6 SERIES, WHITE LAMBORGHINI, DARK GRAY FERRARI, BLACK INFINITI G35 COUPE, RED LOTUS, BLACK MERCEDES E CLASS...I can go on and on. You all got fancy cars but can't afford parking. Shame on you. So to blame the management is ridiculous. It's some of the Residents (mainly the rich kids that cannot clean up after themselves ) that make this place look like crap. To the management: keep up the good work. But start doing some action. Start towing cars ASAP to show these other residents who don't care that you mean business. They can afford it. They own $100-300k worth cars. Gisele was very courteous and helpful in resolving an issue and it was very much appreciated. Veronica has also been extremely helpful. This place honestly blows. The units are fairly nice looking- but totally cheap. When I first moved in, 3 of the doors came off. Were talking, I'm casually opening my closet door and SNAP- it breaks off the hinges. How does anyone even f*ck up that bad that they don't know how to put together doors properly? The cheap laminate flooring has started peeling up. My washer broke a few times and it took them 2 weeks to getting around to fixing it. My sink backed up with GOD KNOWS WHAT. The complex is often a mess. Trash piles up outside of the cans, dried up puke in a hallway near me. I once went down to the pool and it was filled with shredded newspapers? the trash chutes are always filled with garbage right outside the shoot. shout out to you lazy people who seem incapable of opening a door. SECURITY, or lack their of. It's pretty much a joke. My fellow residents and I get emails about how their have been robberies, stolen cars, etc. and to 'be careful' or 'not walk alone at night', meanwhile there is no security in sight. Sure you've got one 24 hour guard boppin' around, eating donuts all night. Lastly, the leasing agents are condescending assholes. I avoid the leasing office as much as possible because I know I'll have to shower right after to wash off all their slime. They sort of ever so slightly act like they care a tiny tiny bit, but they really don't. Have a package? Brace yourself for complaints about how it's 'so heavy' as they plop it onto the cold hard ground, or how its 'been here foreeeever'. All in all it pisses me off that they call this place a "luxury apartment" complex. Yup, its SUPER luxurious when my sink clogs with other peoples sh*t. read more

I just moved into Accent Apartments a little more than 2 weeks ago and I'm very pleased I decided to move here. The location is great, the complex is quiet (which I like) and the residents I've run into so far have been friendly. Veronica in the office assisted with my lease and move-in and could not have been more courteous and professional. I've since met Giselle in the office and she too is always friendly, helpful and professional. I've met both Raymond and Kevin from the maintenance team and they have been quick and responsive to my little requests. Plus they always show up wearing a smile. I've even met Marina, one of the two ladies I always see, every day, working to keep this property clean. Whether they are in the gym keeping the area clean or vacuuming the hallways, these two women work hard! And they too, always do it with a friendly smile on their faces. The gym space is great...lots of options to keep you busy. And it overlooks the pool which isn't bad! I look forward to the warmer days when I can use the pool. I had a decent experience while I lived here under the prior management company. There was some noise, but I didn't think it was worse that most other wooden construction. Perhaps other people had bad neighbors. The construction quality seemed above average for an apartment. The main problem I had was after I moved out. I wasn't told the management company was changing. I did my move out with Jaqueline from Greystar. I was then told by the next management company that I was being charged for cleaning and repainting (needed due to wear and tear), which I was told I wasn't going to be necessary by Jaqueline. The apartment was definitely as clean when I moved out as when I moved in. I was never refunded for these, despite showing pictures. I was told by the the managers at the building to email their boss Aaron, but I never received a response from him. While I was trying to get this fixed, the original check for the partial small deposit refund I received expired. I asked for the check to be reissued at the apartment office, but I never received a reissued check. I don't know which management company was responsible for the poor hand off experience. However, from my perspective it was rather shocking to be told my apartment condition was fine and no additional cleaning was necessary, and then for a new company to turn around and say their vendor told them I owed them for paint wear and tear in addition to more cleaning being necessary. read more

I have lived here for about 3 years. Let me tell you I have gone through a lot. This new manager ( Mr. Justin Kock) is the worst, he really has no idea how to talk to ppl. He will try to fix broken appliances and say they work when they don't work properly, he will just get them running. For example, my dishwasher has rust stains and does not get the food out. My washer machine works only with cold water. The maintenance guy is actually a refurbisher of crappy appliances. No maintenance on the weekends. Apartments have flooded (mine 2 times ) and they still are. Alarms still go off all the time. Also the manager Mr. Kock is rude and not helpful, he will tell you to leave your home just go if you have any problems. For example, you send the office an email at around 4 am because the alarms kept you up and are still going off. * The Service guy Raymon ( yes there is only one guy) is helpful. read more

Accent - Apartments Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I've been living here for a year and a half. I like the property and the location. The rent is expensive, where isn't it in LA, but better than most properties in this area comparatively speaking. The apartments themselves are a decent size and appear to be more spacious due to the high ceilings. They come equipped with washer/dryer and good finishes, stainless steel, granite, lighting, etc. The floors are too dark in my opinion but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. The community itself has a lot of great amenities, pool/jacuzzi, gym, valet trash pick-up, locker storage for package delivery, valet dry-cleaning through Butler Box, etc. They keep the grounds pretty well maintained and clean as well. My one complaint that is pretty consistent with other reviews is the up keep of the carpets and paint in the hallways. I know that it's an arduous task to try to keep up with that as they receive a ton of traffic on a daily basis but it's what's expected when you're in this price point. They did just shampoo the carpets recently which helps. I've also been told that there is a plan to replace the carpets and repaint the hallways so we'll see. The staff is actually great. Patrick and Felipe have always been attentive, helpful, and professional. Although Felipe was just moved to another property so I hope they replace him with someone as good. Raymon and Kevin in maintenance are great as well. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and get things fixed quickly. The new manager seems nice also. Overall I definitely recommend Accent if you're looking for a place to live in Playa Vista. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the status of the hallways and as such would give 4 1/2 stars if I could. read more

I want to like this place. I really do...but I can't! Apparently, everyone is having issues. I wouldn't live here. If I didn't have to pay for a sign out fee, I would leave. First of all, the great things: 1. Valet Trash 2. Business Office 3. Club House 4. Pool Now the bad things: 1. TOP RATED #1 BAD THING IS PARKING. PARKING PARKING PARKING. It totally sucks. So I just got home from work and this is the reason why I wrote this review. As I enter the complex and there are FOUR cars parked right in front of the second gate. These are NOT parking spots. The cars parked there make the place look sooooo trashy! Also, the visitors lot...what can I say? I see cars parked on NON-parking spaces. It narrows down the driveway and I believe it is a safety issue. I have to drive SUPER slow so I don't hit the car that is ILLEGALLY parked. Yes...this is a safety issue. Visitors lot is ALWAYS full. There have been 4 times when I had visitors over and they have to park on the street...waaay far. I have been complaining about Parking for over 4 months now and nothing seems to be happening. Management will just leave a warning on the car's windshield...uhmmm THAT DOES NOT SOLVE IT! START TOWING AWAY! I see the same cars over and over at the Visitors lot. I'm talking about high end cars...Audis, Mercedes Benz, Lotus, Ferrari. You own an expensive car but can't even afford parking? Lame. Management kept telling us that they'll do something about it...NOTHING has been done. Horrible. Good luck if you're trying to live here....because honestly, I would retract my contract if I had the chance. 2. Dogs...I like dogs. But not for this place. There are a few apartments here that own a BIG dog and BARKS ALL NIGHT! You can hear everything! Yesss...EVERYTHING! Even the echo. Before moving in, read this: This is by far the worst constructed building I have ever seen! If you don't happen to live on the top floor you will hear literally everything from your neighbors above! Do not move here if you're a light sleeper! It is not worth the money! The sound of your neighbors upstairs merely walking sounds like an earthquake in your apartment. And God forbid if they have kids running around. It will drive you mad! We couldn't wait to break our lease and move out. The price is not worth it compared to what you're getting. For $3,200+ you should be able to enjoy your apartment home in peace. The worst part about it is management will act like the issue doesn't exist. Yet if you talk to any other poor tenant in the building they will confess to going through the same dilemma as you. I echo what a lot of the other reviewers have said here: these apartments look nice but LOOK ELSEWHERE. As others have mentioned the walking distance neighborhood offerings are very slowly starting to improve as they build out the Runway at Playa Vista (right now there is still only a Whole Foods and a CVS but it's a start) and the overall location is decent as you're near the 405, the South Bay, Culver and MDR. The apartments are nice looking and well sized, but don't be fooled as this building must have been built with paper walls and no insulation because it's super noisy. I live on the second floor and have been tortured this past year by loud stomping from above because I have the bad luck to be living under a family with small kids (my next door neighbors have the same bad luck and we bonded over our shared awful experience with the constant noise). Noise is the biggest problem with this place. Oh yea and if you try to cook you will set off the fire alarm (I boiled water once and it went off!). The fire alarms in the building itself go off all the time too - never have I lived somewhere where we had to evacuate so often (LAFD must be sick of all the false alarms here). As others have mentioned the parking continues to be an issue but one that has been semi-resolved over the past few months (but guest parking is practically non-existent as the same cars seem to stay parked there for days). And while this is supposed to be a non-smoking building you will feel like you have walked into a frat house on most days as the smell of pot smoke permeates the hall ways. Apparently some of the residents think the no smoking rule doesn't apply to pot... And speak of classy- people leave their trash out in the halls like it's a bad NYC sidewalk. The actual trash room is often overflowing with trash that people couldn't be bothered to actually throw down the trash shoot. So much for living in an alleged "luxury building." As others have also noted the management here could care less - they take days to respond, if ever. When you actually get them live they will tell you whatever you want to hear to make you go away, but nothing will ever get done. There are a lot of nice buildings in this area and new ones are being built right across the street - my advice is check those out, you may have better luck than living in this overpriced college dorm. If you're considering moving into the Mellennium Del Rey, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, think again!!! Take it from me, I do not write reviews unless good. I just don't, but I have to here. This apartment building looks nice but the it's not. Its so poorly built that I can't go a month without something breaking in my apartment. It's BEYOND loud, like not the normal apartment complex loud, like F!$@#ing loud. Even the front door is thin. I have had my apartment attempted breakin TWICE, both times while I was with a friend that woke me up to scare them off THANK GOD!! The security guy that walks the place takes about an hour to respond to anything anyways, so that's useless! Let's talk about the pets. I love animals, have one myself, however, DOG SHIT is everywhere and disrespectful shit heads (no pun) that can't take care of their dogs live in almost every apartment here. Tell the office?!?!? Riiiight, yeah because they do anything to get you in here, but don't do anything once you've moved in. Let's get back to the noise, I'm on the first floor and I'm up at all hours of the night either with people up above, or to the sides, or most of the time in the courtyard. The walls and front doors are so paper thin I can hear all conversations, every door open, every toilet flush. It sooooo frusterating. The hallway doors slam, and literally shake my apartment. In my apartment, I cannot get cable and my internet sucks even though I pay for the best package. I've had numerous techs out and they have finally told me that they wired my apartment incorrectly. I also paid extra for the "Smart technology" and well, it doesn't work either. So, in conclusion, if you like shit, being treated like shit, hearing shit all the time, and feeling shitty because you made the WRONG decision to move in, then do it. Enjoy! Trust me though, you will regret it. My year lease is up in 3 months and I cannot wait to get the hell out of this giant hell whole. Actually, I wish yelp would allow ZERO stars! I pay $3200 for a 2bd/2ba. Its a pile of crap, just don't do it. You can get a better place right across the street in Playa Vista!!! I just looked at a townhome style 2bd/2ba in Playa Vista that was $2750. I will be looking next month for a new place there. read more

Do Not Live Here!! Been a PV resident for years. Recent rent increases brought me to this establishment since it still within the area and had the higher end feel and fixtures we liked. Brand new apartment and we were the first tenants of the apartment. Since I've rented most my life I did expect some issues with a new build. However the issues I've had here have been well beyond what I expected! 1. Built Cheap!!! From the laminate floors to the appliances and fixtures. It looks high end, but it is not! It took them 3 weeks (several requests) to hook up the hot and cold water correctly (they were hooked up backwards on the laundry). Loose faucets, tiny fridge, cheap cupboards in the kitchen that easily come off the track, etc. 2. Zero Soundproofing. Honestly, we heard our neighbor take a dump the other day...I'm serious and that's disgusting. From other residents its a serious issue, and the "older" tenants move out ASAP. 3. Poor internet and cell reception... at least on the east side. I have to go outside to speak to people on the phone. I have sprint, fyi... never been an issue in any other rental. The internet and cable is very inconsistent and drops frequently. 4. Fire alarm central! The fire alarms go off A LOT! There was 1 actual small apartment fire, and about 50 false alarms. 5. Parking Drama. There are not enough spaces to accommodate all residents. There is covered and rooftop available for residents ( we got our assigned rooftop spots when we were told we had covered parking.... not awesome). So I've seen people park in someone's spot and then the person that has the spot will park the offender in! I've seen others park in the handicapped spots or fuel efficient spots where they clearly don't belong. Lots of Notes on windshields. Really nice! 6.Sketchy Neighborhood! You are not in PV no matter how close you think you are. Homeless folk drinking beer in the alley, people hanging out late nights... if you live here stay away from the alley on the south side! Okay, there are positives: 1. Very pet friendly! Even a cute little dog run area... just stay on the north side of the complex! 2. Management really tries. Its all new and the management team who sold us the apartment were just trying to fill it. There is a new team now and they really seem to care. read more

I've lived in many communities throughout my life and honestly the Accent is top notch! The management team (Justin Koch, Felipe, and Patrick) are all so amazing. They keep the community clean, they are very quick to respond to maintenance requests, and do a great job of maintaining the overall integrity of the business. I've lived in the building for 3 years now, and would HIGHLY recommend anyone to move here. When I thought about writing a review for this property, I became a bit overwhelmed because there are so many great things about it. We moved in about 2 months ago, we're currently 8 months pregnant and I have to say from the first moment we came in seeking a home, Rainier has been extremely helpful and accommodating. This property has so many perks that previous yelpers mentioned but what was exceptional was that Jon Directo (manager) even made sure our baby shower was a success which was scheduled in the lounge (very fancy lounge). We got so many compliments on how beautiful the property was by our guests. Luani is also very helpful whenever we have ANY questions or need anything!!!! If you are considering moving to Accent please take into consideration the following issues that I have dealt with in the first two months of living here. I toured an apartment and really liked it and all of the amenities they offered here so I put down a deposit to secure it. Later that day they informed me that the unit had rented that morning, but the exact same model was available next door but was $200 more a month. That didn't sit well with me as it is the exact same unit, but I had a deadline to move out and I already had put down a deposit. After expressing my frustration with management they told me there was nothing they could do and stuck to a story about a mystical algorithm that sets the rent and that their computer system had a glitch that morning which led to the unit not showing that it was already rented. The management does not come across like they want to help you as a tenant. They will then push you off to their real estate lawyers who discredit and brush aside your claims. The hot water takes about 3-4 minutes to get hot and I was told that is just how it is and everyone has to deal with it. I have lived in a lot of nice apartments and never have experienced this before. The fire alarms do work though and are going off constantly which is very loud and disturbing. If you want to use the fire pits by the pool they do not work and so you end up paying for things that you can't use. This is the second Alliance property I have lived at. The first one was a great experience with management providing solutions to problems. Sadly my experience at Accent and with their management has been the opposite. I'm hopeful that things will change in the near future as it has a lot of potential.. read more

I have been living at Accent for a few months now and I would say the experience is not up to the same high caliber standards at other apartment complexes I've resided at. It is evident that management does not care about developing relationships with their tenants and is reluctant to assist with issues that disrupt living conditions. If you move here, expect to hear the fire alarm go off several times a week at all hours of the day. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Don't try to have work calls or meetings at home because you will probably be interrupted by the fire alarms which has happened to me on many occasions. Accent prides itself on up to date amenities but the fire pits have not worked since I moved in, bike storage is unavailable, and people leave their cars parked out front of the leasing office and block traffic down the main road - which looks sloppy. Get ready to lose sleep at night if you live in the units across from the leasing office. There are speed bumps out front and since cars speed at all hours of the day and night noise is a common thing here and sleep has pretty much been nonexistent. They claim there are double paned windows in the unit but it seems as though they invested in the cheapest possible windows. If you have an issue they will defer you to their legal team to see if they are held liable in the situation and do their best to not assist with remedying the problem whatsoever. The best apartment complexes and management properties do whatever is in their power to help their tenants reach solutions to problems and sadly this is not the case at Accent. read more

We have lived here for 5 months now. When we first moved in, it was a family owned. That was a major reason why we chose the Millennium. Every morning I would come out of my apartment, there were staff maintaining the grounds, cleaning and working hard to accommodate residents. The hallways were vacuumed, the common area floors were mopped daily, the windows and garage windows were washed every week. It was very clean and well kept. They also had events for the residents like food trucks and cocktail parties by the pool. Shortly after moving in, the fire alarms went off and it was truly deafening. I've never heard such loud noises in my entire life and then on top of that, trying to run through the hallways with a toddler, trying to cover their ears and your own was impossible. There is no way that it is that necessary to have it that loud. My ears hurt so bad, I thought about seeing a doctor. The next day I complained to the office manager and he seemed rushed and didn't write down anything I was telling him and also complained that our Monarch Tree system hadn't been working since we moved in (and payed extra for monthly) but offered us a discounted month and told us he would check with the fire department about the fire alarm. The next time it went off, I hid in the closet with my toddler because the sound was unbearable and my husband run out to check and see if there truly a fire. To his knowledge, there was not. It went on for over 20 minutes. The next day, every single staff member was gone and replaced with a corporate company. My husband and I were very upset. Shockingly enough, we didn't get that discounted month. Needless to say, we are becoming more and more disappointed in how things are run currently. We pay way too much money to live in a gross environment. The hallways are disgusting. I have not seen them be vacuumed in months. There are stains, gum and christmas tree needles everywhere. The ceramic tiles in the common areas are nearly a dark shade of grey (when originally off white). The fridge has only been stocked once on Thanksgiving (when used to be stocked every week). Also, the building is poorly built and having people live above you, has been short of a nightmare. I couldn't even imagine living below someone that has kids or pets. I've heard many residents complain about this. You can hear everything above. I want to love The Millennium because well, because we pay an arm and a leg and it is our home (for now). This is my second review and again its about the infamous manager of the property, JUSTIN (with CAPS). This guy is just unbelievably rude and illogical. My brother just went to the business center to do his project with his friends. He brought his Service dog and All of a sudden, Justin came along and asked everyone to leave the premises immediately (because of a dog) when the apartment is supposed to be dog friendly. Can't say enough of this guy, i tried so hard ignoring all the unreasonable shit he did against all the residents (see all reviews). My roommate and I just moved in to The Millennium Del Rey apartments about a month ago. The best way to sum up our experience thus far, is that every night when we come home, we high five each other about how great this place is and that we've hit the jackpot! LEASING AGENTS: I worked with Jon, Rainer, and Lana and they are awesome. Seriously, this team has been fantastic. From start to finish they were extremely friendly, accommodating and really took the time to help make sure we had everything we needed. The actually remember your name and stop and say hello to you when you walk by them and they're just really nice folks. They also have events like once a month so the community can get to know each other. They really go the extra mile and you can tell. ACCOMMODATIONS: The complex was just built in March - it's so brand new if you look at Google Earth it's a sandpit. Brand-new, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, carpeted bedrooms, the whole nine yards. Added perk that you don't know how awesome it is until you have it: motion sensor lights in the bathroom (I know, right?!). And check this out - they have "valet trash" which means for a small, nominal fee they come and take your trash for you every night (it's a lazy-man's dream come true). And it is all very reasonably priced for what you're getting too. I looked at places far more expensive that don't have a tenth of what these guys have. A free gym, pool, bbq pits, dog park - all the amenities you could need. And they stock the common kitchen area with drinks - just awesome. We had 1 minor maintenance request (loose faucet fixture) and it was taken care of within 24 hours and the guy left chocolates for us. Does your maintenance guy leave you chocolate? If you say yes, you're a goddamn liar. LOCATION: Very conveniently located in one of the best spots you could be - a few miles to the beach, just off the freeway, a few miles to the airport and there's plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The Runway - a new development with shops, restaurants, a movie theater, etc., will be opening up across the street in September so literally everything you want or need will be in walking distance. Get in on the ground floor now, because this is sure to be a prime spot in the near future. read more

I'm not one for verbose reviews, so here are some bullet points on my review of this place: -Building is poorly built. There have already been floods in several units due to pipes bursting. -Lots of college students...or people who somehow seem to not work at all, who throw parties constantly and have no respect for the property or their neighbors. -Maintenance is slow to respond to issues. -MOST RECENTLY: One of the residents apparently had too much to drink a week ago (last Wednesday to be exact) and vomited all over the side of the building from the second floor. The vomit not only ended up on the sidewalk below, but on the awning above one of the outside doors to the building, and the key pad as well. Apparently, the cleaning crew cleaned up the vomit on the sidewalk that morning, but failed to clean it off of the other places. When I told the office manager about the dry vomit still on the awning and key pad several days later he said that a work order would be placed, but overall his attitude was aloof, and as you can probably guess the dry vomit is still there. Overall, the rent here is very expensive and the apartment itself does not live up to a "luxury" standard. If you are looking to rent on the westside, go somewhere else. read more

Location is decent, but you have to drive everywhere. Runway at playa vista is coming along and you have whole foods in walking distance. If you don't mind walking Jefferson blvd with heavy traffic. Apartments are nice, we live on 3rd floor (top) and can't hear any neighbors. Pool areas and grill area is very nice and keep kleen. Same with the gym. Always clean and stuff is working. They have a few issues to deal with before they get 3 or 4 stars from me. 1: Security. They did added a few more guards at night, but the building is so easy to get into. And locks on doors can't be hard to get tru. A fob locked door and a garage gate that all you need to do is to drive after a car in and then you are all the way in to hallway isn't hard to figure out. Also, they keep leaving notes by the door, meaning if you are out of town that note sits there for days. Not hard for anyone to figure out who is not home. 2. The fire alarm. They have a BIG problem with the fire alarm going of at ALL times. Fire trucks are here all the time. If there actually will be a fire, they gonna have a LOT of people burn in since no once gonna care leaving when the fire alarm goes off. 3. The built in Monarc Tree is just a waste of time. Supposed to be able to work thermostat, lights and apple tv with iPhone app. Doesn't work, and there has been no app update in the last year. And I'm sure none will come. This just seems like a 14 year old computer nerd build it and didn't care. 4. Parking. Parkings been a big issue, but they are working on it and I feel like it's getting a LOT better. (See what I did there... a LOT????:) 5. Dog poop. There are a lot of dogs, and people feel free to let them poop everywhere. So a lot of the time you get dog shits around the house, pee in the elevator and so on. 6. Maintenance takes a long time. Sometimes up to a week before anyone checks on you after you post a problem on their website. read more

I just moved here two weeks ago, the management was just switched out (for the better) I love the complex people are SUPER friendly! Everything is really clean the only thing that is a downside which is getting handled by current management is the parking. The past management would assign a spot to a few different apartments so you have people constantly in your spot or vise versa. I feel terrible that the new management has had this bomb dropped BUT, the great thing is they are working it out Kendrick, Mya and Rachel the manager are all amazing they really care about making it a great place!!! read more

I love living here. Yes, I have experienced some not so convenient events but it's common in most apartment community. Some people really should move to a single family home. Some things are just out of the management control. Everyone at the leasing office and maintenance team have been patient, helpful and professional. Again I love living here!! read more

This is a wonderful complex. We visited and loved all it had to offer. We are looking forward to becoming residents in May. Ryan, the manager and all of his staff have been super helpful in our application process and answering all of our questions. The Millennium is an incredibly gorgeous apartment community, with luxurious apartments, high ceilings excellent amenities and and high-teckitchens and bath fixtures. The the highlight of the Millennium is there excellent staff. Manager Rachel Thielman, Amber & Kendrick are true professionals, can answer all questions, knowledgeable and impeccably dressed. I have lived here since January and I have nothing but wonderful things to report. The building is always clean, the staff is ALWAYS friendly (Kendrick left ) and the building is BOMB!!! Between the pool, hot tub, zen garden, coffee machines, trash pick up services,free bikes to borrow, and gorgeous grounds...what more could you want?!? Accent used to have a very good management towards their residents and guests but it went downhill after JUSTIN take over. My brother lives at Accent and I was only using the meeting/public room right at the back of the leasing office to do a group project with my friends (who is also a resident there). Justin then came in out of nowhere and said "Your dog gotta go, no way you are bringing him in here, this is a public room" in a very bad bad bad manner. I told him that my dog is a service dog and i have the certificate and card to show that he is a service dog and he shouted "No way, your dog still gotta go, you all gotta go". Service dogs are supposed to be allowed in public places by law and even if its not, can't he at least "kick us out" nicely. I've heard a lot of complains about Justin from the residents there and now i believe so. If only i could give a zero star for this because Justin literally said that he doesn't care if i want to put any bad reviews. Such a good head of manager :) read more

As another reviewer noted this building looks very pretty, but is poorly constructed and poorly managed. A family with a bunch of small kids moved in above me a few months ago and the noise from them is unbearable - constant sounds of running and jumping (you hear everything - insulation is bad to non-existent). Other residents have complained of similar noise problems. The original managers kept the place well maintained and were actually responsive, but now a corporation runs it and the staff and management are useless. People leave trash in the hallways, there is a major parking problem where you often come home to find someone has decided to park in your reserved spot. The management's response was to ask residents if they'd be willing to "donate" one of their parking spots for others to use (ummm, no - unless they discount my rent, I'm pretty sure I'm paying for that space as part of my rent...). Speak of rent - it's not cheap and the building bills itself as a "luxury" building (Having lived in actual luxury buildings before moving to this one, I can tell you the service, thin floors and maintenance do not qualify it as luxury). For the money I spend I would expect far better living conditions and not be subjected to hearing my neighbor's children run around all hours of the day and night. Unless some MAJOR changes happen, I'm counting the days until my lease expires. read more

The management team really went above and beyond during our time living there, Patrick in particular. My toilet was clogged so rather than having to submit a claim and wait (though the maintenance staff was very quick), he grabbed a plunger and took care of it himself. In a world where so many management companies can suck so bad, the staff at Accent is really great. The building is well kept, we were sad to leave as the rent skyrocketed over two years, but that's the market, not much anyone can do about that. read more
