Jon Townsend reroofed 2 of our properties after the hail storm. I liked how he represented himself and that he is a local company that stands for its work. His offer entailed most/all of the items I could discern that other companies had offered, at a good price. He also explained and educated me. The estimates seemed fair, he offered to wait for 2nd 50%, the final payment, until after the insurance was settled. He followed up promptly with written estimates and contracts. The crew did the work within the time period promised and the tenants reported positively about the crew & the work. He sent pictures of the work. I wasn't able to do quality control but I trust that he did what was right to do. Communication was pleasant and on point. One drawback: payments were by check which was a bit of a hassle for us, but managable. I recommend his company and will use him again which I hope will not be for a long time. read more

This is totally lie he was hired to put on roof . He didn't finish roof and came to my house at 8pm asking to be paid. I had given him half and was going to pay rest on completion. I hired him to replace my roof. Insurance paid all but 2000 dollars. He kept saying I got more and he deserved to be paid extra. I explained that I was paying 2000 and his bid is what I was giving him. I don't know what extra he did. How can you do extra.? It was a complete roof nothing else was done. No boards needed replaced . It was new house with storm damage. I ended up having to hire someone else to finish roof.And as I stated he came in and took my insurance paperwork. I had been noticing more and more roofing tabs coming off especially after our latest high wind day. Our home is 22 years old so I know the time was upcoming for a roof replacement. I was also aware that in 2021 a severe hail storm came though our area early in April. I researched several roofing companies and decided to call Accent roofing to come give an assessment of our roof. Chris Ritacco came out (as scheduled) and after talking and inspecting the roof said he believed it was indeed damaged and needed replacing or he could make the immediate repairs and I could keep putting off the replacement. After calling and speaking with our homeowners insurance claims department who pulled the local hail damage report , we decided it was time to get the roof replaced. Chris worked and explained in understandable terms what would be done and we gave home the go ahead. After we selected the new roof color, Chris took over from there. The following Wednesday the materials were delivered, Thursday morning his crew and Chris showed up and the work began. By Friday afternoon the job was completed and it looks amazing. The roofing crew cleaned up the job site, including using magnets for loose staples and other trash and on Friday afternoon the construction job was completely cleaned, the roof including all new felt underlayment, and new painted vent caps was completed. I was hesitant at first with such an expensive project but in the end Chris did exactly what he said he would do on schedule and on budget. We couldn't be more pleased as Accent Roofing exceeded all expectations. read more

When we bought our house three years ago, it needed its near-20 year old roof replaced. Accent Roofing was on a list of contractors recommended by our real estate agent. We had a crew on our roof within a week of calling. The work was done within one day and the price was very reasonable. (For that I would give 'em 4 stars.) Skip ahead to the storm last March when the VERY large hail damaged the roof badly enough that the insurance company (and our mortgage holders) wanted the practically-new roof replaced. *Sigh.* We called Accent again and though it took just a smidge longer to get to us, they were just as good as last time. The crew was here promptly on the scheduled morning, went right to work, had the roof done and the work area clean before I got home in the evening. I'm very pleased, especially since I've seen houses in my neighborhood with signs in their yard for weeks with nary a sight of workers or small roofs taking 2 or 3 days to complete. My roof was old and needed to be replaced. I called my homeowners insurance to see if they would pay for it due to hail damage, etc. They came out, looked at the roof, said there wasn't enough damage to pay for it and left. I had an initial estimate of $6k to have it replaced (small, one level, 1,100 sq ft home). The (other) roofer said I could likely get another year or two out of the old roof so I thought I'd have time to save up. In the meantime my insurance agent called and said my homeowners insurance wanted to know when I was going to have my roof replaced because they weren't going to renew my policy until it was done. Ugh. Accent Roofing & Remodeling was recommended to me so I had them give an estimate. Jon Townsend gave me an estimate that included one of those vent strips at the top (the other roofer didn't even mention that to me as an option) and it was $5,400. When I decided to go with Accent Jon asked me to meet him at the supply place so I could choose the color of the shingles and look at options for the price range he bid. 30 year shingle, added vent, I choose the color, he would paint pipes to match roof color, replayed new plumbing pipe flashing, etc. Done. The work was done in 2 days. It looks fantastic and I am very, very pleased. Jon Townsend was very kind, very clear and stuck to his initial bid. Accent Roofing replaced our hail-damaged roof on Oct 21, 2009. Unfortunately, a few weeks later I found that a roofing nail had punctured a gas line just under the roof. Accent Roofing came out and pulled up shingles, felt paper, and roof decking to expose the area for the plumber, and then closed up everything afterward. I was out quite a bit for the plumber, but Accent Roofing didn't charge me even though they weren't liable for the damage because the gas line was not exposed and shouldn't have been placed that close to the roof. I appreciate them standing behind their work and helping me out even though it wasn't their fault. read more
