Extra Space Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Lancaster, California

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! (and buddy... there are COSTS). Do not be fooled by all the five star reviews on their site. They look for positive reviews on yelp, google, etc and put them on their site and there is no way to leave your own, fyi. We rented a small unit here when I was about 8 months pregnant to get some furniture out of the house we won't need for a couple years and make room for baby stuff. Found a unit that we thought was priced fairly, and I just got a notice that they are increasing the rate by 63% -- only THREE MONTHS into the rental -- because of "current market conditions." If I had moved in, then they jacked the prices up by like ten dollars a month, fine, you got me, I should have known but oh well. but going from $75 a month to $120? That's obscene. We'll have to get our stuff out of there and either move it somewhere else or just get rid of it, which I guess we should have just done from the beginning. So now I have to find time to do all that with an infant. I don't know how we're going to swing this. The worst part? When I told my mom what we planned to do, she said I should just get rid of everything instead; that these storage places are a huge scam, and all they do is jack up the prices because they know it's going to be a big hassle to move somewhere else. I was like "come on, you're overreacting." Do you know how annoying my mom is when she's right?? Please nobody tell her, I feel like such an idiot for falling for this grift. Save yourself the trouble, the money, and your mom getting to say "I told you so." (agree with everyone else's comments re Tanisha though, she's very helpful and I'm sure none of this is her fault). read more

Store manager Tanisha was so helpful and so nice in general. Made the experience way smoother than it probably should've gone and getting into the unit was easy. Got my password and key and lock all in one super fast plus affordable. loved it here and all the gates have passcodes to get in and out plus you get three keys with your lock so everything is super safe and secure. read more

We have had more than 1 unit here over the years and we've never had any problems with this facility. Staff always accommodating. I rented a storage from there today and the manager Taisha was beyond sweet and helpful, she made sure I had everything I needed. In the mist of me getting my things into storage I lost my money orders for my rent!! It blew away in the wind, Tainsha double check to make sure I didn't leave anything and to make sure I locked my storage because I'm a new customer . As she was doing that she came across my money orders that so happened to have my name on them ..she called me immediately and told me she found them! Let me start by saying that I've only had one storage space prior to using Extra Space and I was not expecting much when I came to rent a unit. They blew away my expectations. The guy was so friendly and helpful, just a nice guy who was chatty and personable. & he even gave me a tour around the place with little golf cart. He showed me exactly how to use all the nifty little things around my unit, such as the door holders & timers. The space that I am renting is super clean and they even provide little carts to make moving easier in the halls (because my unit is inside). It totally cut my unloading time in half. & they keep a bathroom on the premise too, which is so useful on days when I'm digging through my storage for a while. It's all the little things that make it so much better than just another storage place. read more

I stored my household goods here for over a year and the experience has been a positive one. I've received pleasant reminder calls and email reminders to avoid late fees. The site is very clean, secure and well maintained with a knowledge, professional staff. I could have done without a 8% rent increase after only renting storage for five months. This was unexpected and past experience most facilities wait at least 12 months with a 6% increase. That's an entire month of rent over a year. I asked Nathan when I signed my contract when my first rent increase would be and his reply was 12 months. read more

Great Storage Facility and Great Prices! This storage facility has everything you would need. The variety of different size spaces and even central air in door spaces to satisfy your needs of your most precious memorable items. I use one of the larger indoor spaces and it is great! Even air conditioned during the summer. Wheel carts in every building to help you move is great. The office staff is very friendly helpful and respectful with great management. The facility and grounds are kept very clean and you will feel safe during the evening with lighting all through out the grounds and a great modern security gate and surveillance cameras through out the grounds to protect your goods and especially you. There is even a nice clean on grounds restroom for your convienece. Located right off the Ave. I exit for easy 14 freeway access. I recommend this storage facility! read more
