Their prices were competitive. The installers were professional and did a good job. I liked that their office filed our warranty papers and applied for Duke Energy credit that we qualified for. No one else mentioned the Duke Energy credit.

Our older AC system stopped blowing cold air right in the middle of high heat, and the owner actually came out personally to inspect it. He thoroughly checked for leaks and genuinely spent time troubleshooting the unit. At the time, I was in between jobs, and he completely understood my situation. Instead of pushing for a quick sale or trying to upsell me, he went out of his way to try and repair the old unit just to buy us some time until I was working again. Unfortunately, the system was just too old and ultimately had to be replaced. Because of my situation, the owner stepped up and worked with me on a very fair price and a manageable payment plan. There was zero urgency or pressure to win my business, just an honest, incredibly helpful approach to a stressful situation. The entire crew really knows their stuff, and it is clear that this business is run by a genuinely great guy. Thanks again, Klimatology!

    Warning: Review Coercion & $1,100+ Pricing Discrepancy…read more I used Santa Air for five years and recommended them to many friends. Unfortunately, their business model has changed from "honest and hardworking" to "opaque and manipulative." The Technical Issues: In 2020, Santa Air installed my trane system but failed to properly connect the emergency heat strips. I spent five winters wondering why my house wouldn't stay warm below 30°F. They missed this mistake during every subsequent maintenance visit over the 5 years. Recently, they tried to charge me $1,700 for repairs I didn't need. A second opinion confirmed their diagnosis was wrong; that technician fixed Santa Air's original installation mistake and the actual sensor issue for a total of $575. The Billing Issues: Their current pricing "tiers" (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are incredibly over-inflated compared to other local HVAC companies. And if you only need a repair included in the Gold tier, you have to pay for all the things you don't need in the tiers below it. When I realized the invoice was vague and the work wasn't needed, I cancelled. The Ethics Issue: The most disappointing part was the office's response. They tried to emotionally guilt-trip me. They held my refund hostage, telling me they would only return my money if I removed my negative reviews. I refused to be coerced and had to fight for three months through my bank to recover the funds for services never rendered. Don't let the high star rating fool you--they are actively pressuring customers to delete bad experiences. Always get a second opinion!!!
