I had a different company come out and test 2 weeks prior... Passed! Then Accurate came out, and allegedly a "failed" test then sent me an estimate of $350+ to which I refused. A different company came again 2 weeks after Accurate's alleged "failed" test . It had a "passed" test again! So I conclude that nothing was ever wrong with the backflow, they just need some more money... Scam! You have been by warned! read more

Accurate did our backflow test and said one side needed to be rebuilt and they would come back in a week or two to do that. They ok'ed the other side. The side they had ok'ed and supposedly worked on starting leaking "the next day". We spoke to an unsympathetic lady and were given a quote of $700 to come back out and repair "both sides". This included a rush fee which we requested because the side they had "fixed" a couple of days before now had a considerable leak. (it had no problems "before they worked on it"). We gave up with this company and called another plumber (Parrish Plumbing) who came immediately (he was at our house within 2 hours and finished the project in 30-40 minutes) and charged us $150. We will not be using Accurate again. We will recommend Parrish Plumbing. read more

This company has done our annual county water backflow testing for several years. Each year up to now has gotten incredibly worse. Most recently, we scheduled our testing from their online website almost 8 weeks ago and still have not responded. They've emailed saying it will be done accordingly, but nothing to date. They had stated they were backlogged, but yet there company was out to inspect my next door neighbor and failed to do mine. Seems there scheduled is not up to par to meet the public needs. Be weary in hiring this company if you want reliable service. read more

WARNING - ACCURATE BACKFLOW In December 2021 I scheduled my annual test with Accurate. They sent me an invoice (which I paid) and a copy of the passed report, so I assumed I was good for another year. Fast forward to April 2022 and I received a Manatee County water bill twice the normal amount. The county representative told me that the county never received my report so they sent someone out to do the inspection and charged me double what Accurate would have charged. Guess who the county sent, Accurate. When I went back to examine the report Accurate sent it was the report from the previous year. I was informed by the county that Accurate has new ownership and that they have done the same shady thing to many people! Beginning April 27, I have spoken to Accurate twice and emailed them twice and they have promised a refund. Still no refund has been received. I had given them every opportunity to fix this before I publicly posted this. They have lost my business. read more

Scheduled a time for testing last week of June & told in 2 weeks testing would be done with phone call from tech on way since we were concerned about an issue with backflow. Called to check on inspection 2 & 1/2 weeks later & record of ours being scheduled not found though interesting our neighbor's had been tested/tagged next door to ours in requested time frame. When called to ask ehere our inspection was in the que, no record could be found of our testing. When asked for follow up another 2.5 weeks time frame was given as range. In this county owners are given one month to effect repairs if negative test rcvd so be sure to have lead time in case of this situation. As with many other businesses service is greatly lacking in this area--highly suggest securing list of approved businesses doing backflow testing fully licensed & certified & approved by city, call for time frames, pricing, how results are communicated before agreeing. Scheduling is often done oddly with little to no communication. read more

Do Not Use This Company!! We paid for a backflow test 02/21/22. Received notice it would be performed 04/05/22. Then received notice from county they were going to do the test. Called Accurate Backflow and they assured us it would be done in time. Just received our water bill and MCUD did the test and charged us. I cant even reach anyone on the phone at Accurate Backflow!! I received a letter to have my backflow tested. I went to accurate backflow testing webpage and scheduled an appointment. I received confirmation that it would occur in the allowed time (~inside 30 days). It didn't happen. I then received a final notice from the county and email accurate backflow for a response. No rpely. I then called accurate backflow- and no answer. I left a voicemail (after listening to a message how they would ensure they would do all testing inside the prescribed time). No answer to my voicemail. I cannot and will not recommend them based upon what they do (or DONT do) and not what they say. read more

Had a leak from the backflow preventer. Called and also contacted Accurate through their website. Received an email response within an hour. Quoted price and said they'd be out the next day. Serviceman arrived mid morning and did a thorough check and replaced a couple parts. Was nice and explained everything as he went. Very pleased with service. read more

beware! do not hire this company! rude! dishonest! unprofessional! horrible experience

Believe it or not, sometimes a business can be great but the front office staff can cause you to not want to (or not be able to!) do business with them again. This was the case with Accurate. The owner was great, installers/testers wonderful, but the front office ruined it. I needed a back flow unit replaced. They called back with the estimate and I asked for a breakdown of the charges (time and materials). They said they would have to call me back and never did for two weeks. I used that time to learn a little about products and services from other companies, just to be a 'little' more educated on the subject. When I called them back and asked why they did not use a replacement unit that I investigated with a 5yr warranty also used in the area vs. 'their' preferred, they said they would find out and call me back. I thought the call went well and I was simply trying to be an educated consumer. Here's where it REALLY went bad. I immediately get a call back from the office manager who accused me of being intimidating and bullying and told me to take my business elsewhere. So I guess I will! read more
